It doesn't get any cooler for me than seeing Dick Beyer and Mariko Yoshida -- two of the greatest mat wrestlers from entirely different generations -- in the same shot. Just don't ask me why it's upside down.

I was watching some old Mid South today and could not believe how a young Matt Borne circa 1982 looks EXACTLY like friggin Nick Dinsmore so I post the pictures so you can judge for yourself... Matt Borne... Nick Dinsmore (Eugene)...

I thought the Impact special was good last night. Jarrett with green hair was hilliarous. Samoa Joe killed Red and the fans loved it even thought they aren't supposed to. As much as I love Bobby, it is painful trying to watch him talk. God bless him for beating cancer but unless he really needs the money he shouldnt be doing this. Christian looked damn good in the ring. He had a solid match with Roode. I think he sells the pounce as good as anyone but lets be realistic. It's a fucking shoulder tackle. How well can you sell it if your going to bounce of the ropes with out snaping your neck. But the best part had to be the Abyss segment. God bless vi…

We haven't had one of these in quite some time. Here's some links to the older threads first then I'll try to get us five new cats that we haven't discussed yet: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine. Here's the list of everyone that's be talked about so far: Alright, and here's the five new guys I'd like to converse about:[li] Bobby Lashley[/li][li] Ken Kennedy[/li][li] Carlito[/li][li] John Cena[/li][li] Abyss[/li]

I started this thread over at the DVDR too, but I am particularly interested in some of your opinions on this as a lot of people over here seem like they watch a lot of television runs from 1980's territories. I was watching an old Memphis run of tapes from 1984 and 1985 over the weekend and I had forgotten just how awesome the Jerry Lawler vs. Randy Savage feud was. Both guys were just fantastic in every single aspect of their game at the time. I was trying to figure out who was more impressive and I was having a really tough time. So, the question posed, in their prime, whenever that might be for you personally, who was the better all around performer? I've …

Be sure to check out Wrestlecrap for worst in wrestling nominees. I felt the need to vote for the Kane/Lita/Edge/Hardy angle cause pretty much anything involving Kane these days annoys me.

Theyve both had huge sums of money and women entirely to attractive for them and now... Lil more on the subject Maybe IRS, Ted Dibiasse, and the Godfather can sue him for "Money Cash Hoes"[

How do I know this? Because they're redoing the Hulk-Warrior angle with Taker-Orton. Seeing Josh Matthews get "posessed" by Taker is one of the most unintentionally hilarious wrestling moments ever.

Bruno Sammartino, who turned 70 on October 6: He looks better than he did when he was wrestling.

Who are some of the best babyfaces you've seen throughout your wrestling-watching career? What made them great in your eyes and what are their best performances (meaning cite examples)? I'll chime in once I'm not at work and this thread gets going, but I think this could be interesting.

Stolen from Inside Pulse... As much as smarks like to look down on celeberty involvement, this one seems to be working. In fact, there is serious talk that Sports Illustrated might do a story on it, which would he HUGE for TNA. Best rating ever is good news for TNA, especially considering the awesome promo by Christian this past week. The big surprise is rumored to be an expanded show or new time slot. I also like how she sees that focusing on guys like Joe and AJ is just as important as signing every WWE castoff. Good news for us TNA fans.

Just had to start this so I could say "HOLY SHIT~!" to the Edge/Sarge/Hayes segment. That was probably the best series of promos done on WWE TV all year. Makes me wonder why they don't have some of thes kids who can't talk go to Hayes to learn how shit's done.

Instead of talking about Raw or iMPACT!'s ratings changing by .2 or talking about Vince saying "nigga" or Smackdown being "offensive" I wanted to have a different conversation. I think this forum has the best ratio of "intelligence to ignorance" when it comes to discussing wrestling, so this is where I'm posting it at. I was having this discussion with a couple of my friends the other day. I thought we could use a new thread here, so I thought I'd make this. We were discussing the "big three" in the current North American wrestling scene. I was talking about my love for ROH and how if they weren't around in '05 I might've abandoned wrestling altogether. My friend from…

I don't know how many people are noticing so I thought I'd start a topic here and get some discussion going. Of course the discussion will be about my favourite topic. Chris Benoit who I feel has really been on lately. 3 matches of late where I feel he's really shone are his bouts against Bradshaw, Regal and the last match against Booker T in the best of 7 series. First off I want to talk about the Bradshaw Smackdown bout which was very good and featured a great preformance by Benoit. I probably should talk about these matches right after I see them instead of waiting but here I go anyway. The Brashaw match featured some smart work and counters w…

You know when you have your first real girlfriend, and you think it's going to last forever? Invariably life gets in the way, and you end up drifting apart for whatever reason. You move on, find love elswhere. Maybe even get married. Then, years later, you come across a photo or some keepsake that reminds you of that first love and the memories come back. That's how I felt watching the WCCW TV comps I got from KZ this past week. WCCW was the very first wrestling promotion I ever watched thanks to the 4 pm airings on ESPN every weekday. Everything was just like I remembered it, that rolling drumbeat themesong, the somewhat-dumpy looking Sportatorium with the red ho…

Over the past several months, I've seen people talking in a very negative light about his ring work, and it's really intensified over the last month or so. I've even seen some people go so far as to lump him in with the likes of Heidenrich and Tomko. The phrase "Carlito and Masters" I've noticed has been used in reference to more than just their on-and-off tag team, as well. In a chat I was in a few weeks ago, when Carlito was taking on Shawn Michaels for the Taboo Tuesday spot, the guys I was talking to seemed pretty merciless in their negativity towards him. A lot of people (not in that chat) said that match was so awful, and seemed to imply that Shawn simply couldn…
