I'm just curious if anyone else has ran into this. It comes up a lot for me, especially when WWE is at a low point, like right now. Personally, I've been watching WWE for twenty years. I've watched Raw since it's initial inception on USA. I watched WCW up until they went out of business. Same with ECW. I watch wrestling because I'm a wrestling fan. Even when the overall product is bad, there's always at least something that I can get into. So, when you've been watching as long as most of us have, and you know that this business goes through it's peaks and valleys, what do you do when someone, usually someone that doesn't even follow the product anymore, sim…

In the past month, Jim Ross has been fired from his announcing position on RAW, all the McMahons have put themselves on TV again, Austin has walked out in lieu of doing a stupid job, Christian has quit the company, Dusty Rhodes has been placed on the creative team, Goldust and Vader have inexplicably returned to the company, TNA is gaining momentum (sort of) on Spike, RAW has moved to USA, and Bret Hart's DVD was finalized. Meltzer seems to be covering all of that in as much detail as possible, despite it being a large amount at once. So what's Wade Keller reporting today? I don't get the Torch, but I can only hope he's covering all this stuff with the detail it des…

Inspired by this thread. I was disappointed with where a lot of the wrestlers were. Namely people like HBK, Angle being so high. I was curious if maybe we could get something like this together? Maybe get people to make some lists ranking some wrestlers, give points for being listed and extra points for #1 votes or something? I think it'd be fun. I really liked the set-up that the guy in the thread did though. When doing the list, he provided a picture a brief description and a list of some matches they are famous for.

We knew it was only a matter of time until Goldust came back once Dusty got hired. However, is it a bad move? When Goldust was in the company last time, he was consistantly one of the high points, both in ring and out, of each show. Will it be a "time will tell" type scenario?

Apparently the Tolands, former OVW tag champs, are going to be billed as James and Jack Dick, and their whole gimmick is their name. Seriously, are 12 year olds running creative now? The best they can come up with for guys now is dick jokes?

From Meltzer's latest feedback: Anyone fill in the blanks on what Dave actually said? Thanks.

Help Ricky Morton get out of jail for being behind on child support payments that were based on his 1991 income when he was with WCW.

In the weird development of the month, WWE.com had a frontpage story with a photo of Jerry Jarrett at their headquarters, with a cryptic message about him not being alone. Does anyone know what his status with TNA is?

I think for me it comes between Vader and Don Leo Jonathan. Vader was great at just mauling people in the ring and proved constantly that no one could do the David/Goliath matches better. His series with Sting was a high point in his career. I also enjoyed his Dome Show match against Inoki in 97 I think. Don Leo Jonathan just for his agility. The kip ups, rolling splashes and to be honest I've only seen him in the twilight of his career. I'd love to see him in his prime. Underrated: Ray Traylor I think is a pretty underrated guy. He takes a lot of unfair shit for his run in 99 and 00. His matches with Vader in WCW were pretty good and he even drug…

from Meltzer's Update today: Now I think I've gotten better in deciphering Meltzer's ambiguous statements but this one came out of nowhere and is kind of confusing. Is that a shot at TNA or WWE? Every comment he makes is always a subtle jab at something, anyone have any idea?

Apparently Meltzer in the last couple of Observers has been pointing out that Bobby Lashley is becoming a HUGE ratings draw. The first three times that Lashley has appeared on Smackdown in matches the ratings have gone up substantially, like 450,000 viewers each time. The top guys don't even pull in those numbers most of the time. A potential new star in the making?

As TNA is starting to gain a foothold on Spike, it's already becoming a divisive issue on the 'net if it's ever going to become a competitor to WWE. To that length I was thinking about some things that they can do to improve their product. 1. Get more TV time. This seems to be happening, with Spike giving them a primetime special and possibly a permanent 2 hour timeslot. In this era of wrestling, one hour of TV is simply not enough to establish characters and tell stories that sell PPVs. 2. Let a homegrown talent run with the belt. This also seems to be happening, with Monty Brown being groomed for a title run in the near future. Jeff Jarrett must not be given…

- What is your favorite singles match? - What is your favorite tag team (2 teams of 2) match? - What is your favorite multi-person (2 teams of 3 or more on each side) match? - What is your favorite type of wrestling? - What is your favorite angle of all time? - Who is a wrestler you found to like because of the internet? - WCW or WWF 1996-1998? - Do you like Lucha Libre? Why? - If you could book a "Super Show" card with 3 matches with a guarantee to draw a huge crowd and maintain monster heat the whole night, what would it be? My answers: - What is your favorite singles match? Right now, I am not too sure. I have really gug a ton of matche…

He seems to veer between funny and dickish, and I get a feeling he's going to get a LOT of shit in the WWE locker room for being straight edge. I wonder how he's going to react when he gets released after a year of jobbing because WWE needed to free up money for the next Diva Search.

Since the other one went well I thought we could try the best junior heavyweight wrestler around. Just for arguments sake we'll leave Jericho/Benoit/Eddie off the list. For me it's Jushin Liger and only Jushin Liger. I think he has a legit claim to be the best overall package ever as a wrestler. I don't think I've ever seen him in a style of match that he couldn't handle. I think as he's aged he's shown a lot of flexibility by switching to a more brawling/power style than a flying/mat style. Owen Hart is probably second overall. Another guy that could bounce around from any style of match and adjust immediately.

I'm gonna post a mini review, just cause I really, really, REALLY enjoyed the UFC stuff tonight and from what I saw of RAW, I really, really, REALLY didn't like it at all. Watching a really good fight tends to get me pumped and I have a lot of energy right now, so I gotta find some way to vent it. Unleashed had one of my favourite fighters, Georges St. Pierre; one fighter who is quickly becoming a favourite, David Loiseau; and Tim Sylvia vs. Ricco Rodriguez, a guy who, once upon a time, was a favourite of mine. "Rush" got on my radar screen when TSN showed some TKO/UCC fights long before he debuted in the UFC. The guy was just physically dominating his opponent …

I pretty much started this thread to ask 2 questions: 1. Did Kane hurt himself in that 3 way or was he just trying to cover for the match being such a clusterfuck? 2. Was that segment with Vince WWE's Fingerpoke of Doom segment that we'll be looking back at years from now? I don't think I've seen a more painful to watch segment than that.

Last week on Smackdown Christy Hemme was on the ring apron routing on LOD 2K5. Melina did a run in and yanked hemmes Lil panties showing her ass to the crowd. Now, Im sure all you roosters consider this a big ole bucket of good. But this was actually kindve annoying. While that camera didnt get a good shot the crowd did. Hemme looked at Melina with " I cant belive you just did that look" and began to adjust her tights. Then she sold the fall then adjusted again and then got beat down. This may sound trivial but I hate this. Its not jus Hemm, plenty of wrestlers over the years will be getting a brutal beat down and they stop to throw back their hair or pull their tights fr…
