http://wrestling.insidepulse.com/articles/39450 He seemed to be not batshit crazy this time, he must save it for his political speeches these days. I did notice that nothing seems to be his fault, despite his flakiness being one of the most well-documented things in wrestling history. His comments about Hogan are hilarious in the sense that knowing Warrior was in on the joke during his WCW run. Hogan probably thought Warrior was another mark for him to work.

Maybe I would have appreciated some of the holds that were worked pretty smartly in the Mid South I watched tonight if Monday Night RAW didn't have abdominal stretches and reverse chinlocks out the ass. I'm not normally a mark for highspots, but I think right now I need to see a totally insane spotfest with no rhyme or reason to it but just a bunch of huge, dangerous and sloppy moves to pull me back to earth and slap me back into reality. What should it be? Thanks.

Huge show coming up for NOAH: I have to admit that Misawa/Kawada and Kobashi/Sasaki don't interest me greatly. I've never cared for Sasaki outside of tag matches here and there and I don't think Kobashi has been as good as a lot claim during his GHC run. Misawa/Kawada, I don't think Misawa has the physical goods at this point to make it a great match. It might be ok but I think people are expecting way too much. Rikio/Tanahashi interests me greatly though. I still think Tanahashi is still the future for New Japan.

I hope this is enough words for a review! BRIAN PILLMAN vs JOHNNY B. BADD FALL BRAWL 95 First time ever seeing this and it ruled. It was tough to watch though because the injuries here had definitely caught up to Pillman. He was trying with all his might but his body could only bring him so far. Still, he tried. The match itself was not perfect and lacked flow at times but it still worked. Pillman was just great in this. He turns heel slowly in it and it's pretty fun to watch. What is also cool is that the 95 BOSJ tourney must have inspired his moveset here some. They do a lot of "we're equal so we both hit moves at the same …

Gino Hernandez & ?Dr. Death? Steve Williams vs. Rock N Roll Express (Mid-South, 1985) To be honest, I haven?t seen Gino Hernandez wrestle since the 80s, prior to his death. I have no World Class footage in my collection and I haven?t actively pursued anything with Gino. I remember loving the Chris Adams/Gino tag team and how great many of those World Class angles were? specifically the blinding of Chris Adams. With that said, this is my first opportunity to see Gino wrestle since I was a child. The girls in the crowd go nuts for the Rock N? Roll Express and I bow down to their ability to work them up in such frenzy. If I had that ability, I wouldn?t be marrie…

Looks like Edge v Kane in a cage match is going to happen on this show, which means that we'll either get a really cool visual of Matt climbing the cage and diving onto Edge below or we'll get him "kidnapping" Lita, who'll be outside the cage. My guess anyway, we'll see how it goes.

By the way, everyone is welcome to e-mail me W/WWF/E reviews if you'd like them added to The History of WWE. WWF World Champion Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) vs. Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) New York City, NY Madison Square Garden May 27, 1988 Taken from the Macho Madness Coliseum Video This was the second in the three-match series between Savage and Dibiase at MSG. The previous month?s show saw Dibiase beat the champion via count-out in Savage?s first title defense at the Garden since winning the tournament at WrestleMania IV. Roger Kent and Superstar Billy Graham are on commentary. For those asking ?Roger who??, Kent was an AWA mainstay before the WWF's n…

Just looking at this picture indicates the major problem in WWE to me right now -- there's no clear direction going in the company at all. What is the current image of WWE? You have Edge and Matt Hardy doing worked shoots on one side, you have Batista acting like the modern-day Ultimate Warrior on the other side, you have Cena trying to be the next Rock elsewhere, and above, you have a Wrestlecrap-level gimmick that will be ridiculed for years to come. What is WWE about these days? Are they trying to become more mature or more kiddie? More modern or more of a throwback? Are they emphasizing work and competition again with feuds like Angle/Michaels, or are they still cling…

Yeah Fujita is on title reign number three for some unknown reason. This is also the third title change this year. I guess they have no intention of booking a long term IWGP Champion anymore. Tenzan also seems destined to never get a good run with the belt.

I thought I'd put my old Benoit vs Lesnar thoughts here too since I changed my old post of this (from another board) slightly: Note about this match -- I believe they edited the time Benoit was in the Brock Lock. I remember having a house show report saying he was in for much longer. Yeah, I love this as it just connected with me. CHRIS BENOIT vs BROCK LESNAR Smackdown 03 I just did this from memory so if I made any mistakes just tell me. From memory I'll take a stab on why this match is on my favourites list for WWE/WWF matches. Intensity which I'm such a big fan of. Flow too and this match just went so smoothly for me. A…

August 3, 1997. Shawn Michaels accidentally cracks a steel chair over the Undertaker?s head at Summer Slam, costing Taker the world title. In the days and weeks that followed, the WWF did everything they could to use the accident in turning Michaels into a full-fledged heel. On the August 11th edition of Raw is War, Michaels debuted his new ?insurance policy? in the form of the returning ?Ravishing? Rick Rude. The following week he was paired up with Hunter Hearst Helmsley against the duo of the Undertaker & Mankind. The Heartbreak Kid seemed hesitant in working alongside a heel the likes of Hunter but, by the end of the match, it was Shawn and not Helmsley…
