HBK and HHH both did the crotch chop at Wrestlemania, then again tonight on RAW. HBK is supposed to be easing back to "special attraction" status soon. According to reports, HHH is more open to becoming a face again than he once was. Storyline wise, HHH raised the ire of Vince by calling him "the old man" last week, and HHH is getting cheered again thanks to the Cena stuff. DX having one more run before HBK gyrates off in the sunset?

WWE 24/7 is running a "Women of WWE" special this month, and on it is the Wendi Richter vs Spider Lady (Moolah) screwjob. That's one of the "holy grails" I've been looking for, and if someone with 24/7 could cap it I'd be eternally grateful. If you'd be willing, lemme know.

I'm watching the Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer) shoots and I'm finding that there are cases in which he tells a story without a name but gives enough clues to figure it out. The one that comes to mind at the second is: What main event guy was fired during the drug testing era for trying to cheat during a urine test by using a Visine bottle full of piss and *dropping the bottle* in front of the testers? From what he says, the guy involved was fired immediately. That leads me to believe one of three possible names was involved. 1. Ultimate Warrior He left on short notice at the end of 1992 but, according to Meltzer, was involved wit…

While I would never just say outright that Kanyon is right or wrong about his assertion that he was fired for being gay, I want to say that it certainly is possible. There has always been a strange thing about being gay in wrestling. On one hand, pro wrestling has always been one of the few athletic endeavors were being gay was possible without total shunning or physical violence. But there's another part of wrestling that says, "You can be gay, but keep it to yourself." Patterson is the most cited example of being gay and having it be okay. On the contrary, Patterson went through great pains to keep his life private and was mortified when things started coming …

I was watching the Angle/Orton/Rey WM match and I noticed how many boos Rey was getting. Every time he had an advantage on either guy, a big portion of the crowd would boo. Even Orton got some cheers (the RKO did at least). I think the WWE is seeing a shift in its audience, and it's just not with John Cena. The fans are starting to resist more when it comes to cheering and booing who the company wants them to, and like Loss said, this could be the beginning of a fairly large shift in how wrestling is operated if fans just stopped reacting the way the company wants. Loss mentioned how the WWE would be smart to notice how the fans are reacting and start adopting…

Personally, I think it's coming off very corny. Cornette cutting promo's is fine but when fans start making terrible "rebuttal" videos and people start "hacking" forums and shit, it's coming off really poor. I realize they don't have TV but this is just...bad. Here's the "fan" video. If you make it through the whole thing, you're a better man that I. I was so embarassed for them, I had to stop watching it.

Too bad Teddy's such a fuckup, I'd be digging a Hart Foundation 2.0 with Harry, Teddy, TJ and Nattie.

Apparently this Guther/Gunner Scott guy is Brent Albright from OVW finally getting his callup. I don't know what the deal is with giving him such a stupid name, but the guy can go so if he's paired with Benoit only awesomeness can result. I'm guessing Orton was there since his match with Rey was hyped before whatever happened to get him suspended. I'm guessing he'll have some off camera altercation before next week to explain his 60 day vacation.

Ok, it took me a little longer than I anticipated becuase of difficulty in acquiring certain matches but I finally completed the 2005 Comps. Anyway, I think 2005 was a very prolific year for match quality... esp. compared to the last few years. Anyway, I am sure I missed some matches that people would argue are MOTYs but I think these comps are a great way to be able to sample different styles and see if there are any gems you may have missed or a cheap way to sample stuff you normally wouldn't see without breaking the bank. Some matches I don't think are MOTYs (Angle-HBK for instance) but received enough publicity at various boards that they should be included. Anyw…

From Meltzer: Big news. I don't have to say what I think this is related to, since everyone else is probably thinking the same thing.

Per Alvarez. No other details yet. I'm sure Meltz will have more later.

A thread I'm posting in over at Smarkschoice reminded me of all the confusion surrounding the Big Gold Belt and how despite what a lot of people think, the NWA and WCW World Titles are actually two separate entities. I thought I'd make a thread explaining the admittedly messy lineage of the two titles for easy reference the next time you run across someone who thinks they're the same thing. First off, the backstory. Turner bought Jim Crockett Promotions in 1988 and soon started rebranding it as World Championship Wrestling. At this time WCW was still a member of the National Wrestling Alliance, albeit pretty much the only member of any substance left at that po…

Just wanted to see what you guys thought of it. Nice for a feel good show and all, but one of those times where I almost wish I wasn't aware of the underbelly that permeates WWE, and all of wrestling for that matter, because the Bret Hart and Eddy Guerrero inductions, while handled well, were a little strange. I take it either Shawn Michaels was asked not to show up at the ceremony or voluntarily decided against it. HHH, Flair and Hogan all looked ... less than thrilled to be applauding him, but they did it, and I guess that's what's important.

These are just some thoughts, ramblings, as they come to me: First off, I'd break up Team Canada. Petey and Roode, I think, would be fine solo. Maybe stick D'Amore with whichever one of them is the worst on the mic, or possibly both of them. Turn Eric Young face because it seems like the fans want to cheer him. Dump A-1 because although he's big, that's all he has going for him. I'm not feeling Bentley, Shane, Maverick whatever they're calling him. Get Traci away from him because she can get anyone a pop. Turn the Dudley Boys heel. They can only have so many matches with AMW and they work better as heels anyway. Dump Gayda. She brings nothing to the ta…

NWA US Title NWA World TV Title NWA World 6 Man Tag Title NWA US Tag title NWA World Tag Title

From RAW Magazine: Do you agree with this list? Why or why not? A lot of people don't think it holds up as a "greatest match" (and I'm inclined to agree) but it is, was, and always will be one of those matches that's on everyone's best of. It deserves a top ten, certainly. No. Not by any standard. Hell, Brock Lesnar/Eddie should be here more than this thing, and that match shouldn't be here, either. Yeah sure, why not. Perhaps the only good match of Warrior's career, save maybe the Rick Rude stuff. Face versus Face, big deal, all that. Granted, as a kid I marked out at Demolition winning, but that's because they had a slope for a manage…
