This is for the NWA Title. Right off the bat both guys throw their big weapon. In Wahoo's world it's the chop. With Race it's the headbutt. Everything it seemed here had an extra oomph to it. Wahoo is using the head lock to work the match around. I marked big for Wahoo's cross body. Harley using a headbutt into the ribs is so nasty. Wahoo's Butterfly Suplex was great. Loving Wahoo firing up with the big chops.Then pretty much Wahoo does the total banana peel finish. The 2nd fall Race goes back to the ribs. He delivers a nasty knee drop into the ribs. Harley with the front facelock using his weight to work over Wahoo. Now Wahoo's comeback with the chops are so awesome…

Gary Hart is with the heels, and this is by far the best he's looked in the footage. Hart has never been about the bumps to me. He's been about his projection of Evil. The crowd here is insanely hot for this match. Like nuclear and the heels know how to stoke that flame. In the 1st fall we get an early shine. The heels cut Lothario off and just beat him down. Here it's really neat. Instead of hope spots, Lothario gets hope punches. This was really neat. He gets a hot tag to Madril and shows some fire.He gets cut off and they just destroy the leg. Madril is just worked over for a bit. He hot tags to Lothario and the crowd erupts, then goes silent when Murdoch just nai…

All right another Lothario match. This time against Killer Brooks.; In the 1st fall we see Lothario work an arm. Lothario makes quick work of Brooks in the 1st fall. 2nd fall Brooks does some solid heeling on the crowd. Lothario starts working the nose. This was really fun. Brooks goes to the dreaded nerve hold. Lothario made it interesting by fighting under neath. Lothario's punches were great. The 3rd fall started out a wild brawl. It settles down. This was a pretty solid match. 2 3/4*

Al Madril defends the Texas Heavyweight Title I liked this a lot. In some 1st fall we have Murdoch working a headlock and talking shit to the crowd. Just totally heeling it up. Murdoch used some good heel tricks. He used the hair pull into the headlock. He threw elbows into the neck. Madril steals the 1st fall. The 2nd fall Murdoch is the aggressor. He teases a stranglehold/rabbit punch. He gets a chair and hits him. He begins working the leg . This was all well done This all makes sense and wins with a half crab. 3rd fall was more great leg work. Again Madril steals the fall with a flash pin. 3 1/4*

You can hear the announcement at the end that this match was for the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles. These teams had another match on 4/23/78 but that was part of a tournament for the NWA World Tag Titles.
