Two of the most heralded names that have come across the pro wrestling scene in the 2000's. Also, 2 names synonymous with the boom that indy wrestling has witnessed throughout that same period, before both eventually joined WWE (with one having much more success than the other.) This is the thread to highlight the rivalry between Chris Hero and Bryan Danielson through the years!

One of the stalwart rivalries from CHIKARA and now that their video library is slowly entirely making its way on IWTV, I'm planning to take advantage of it to live some of their key stuff. For people more familiar with the old CHIKARA shows, which matches & angles from their rivalry should I be on the lookout for?

A rivalry that some might say didn't live up to the hype in WWE back when Jon Moxley was the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose, but everything changed when both men became the cornerstone of the success that has been AEW since its creation, culminating in a classic bout at AEW Revolution 2020 for the AEW World Championship. One of the reasons why I'm always trying to find stuff about Dragon Gate is because I heard so much about their rivalries and matches that I really wanna see what it's all about. What matches between these two should anyone be looking into?

In a post-ECW landscape in which the very definition of hardcore fans were looking to satisfy their crave for violence, few promotions took that to another level and even went to promote their product as "ultraviolence". IWA Mid-South and Combat Zone Wrestling took it upon themselves to cater to that very niche audience and give them what they want. Ironically, both of these teams were once perceived as WWF's response to the Road Warriors (although I believe that Barbarian & Warlord teamed together with Jim Crockett Promotions prior to jumping to the WWF) but that didn't make them less intimidating. The highlight of this rivalry being their double turn at Survivor Series 1988, it certainly took a lot of people by surprise at that time. In my quest to discover puro stuff, other than New Japan, Dragon Gate always had a soft spot in my heart. Both Dragon Kid and Masato Yoshino played a pivotal part in the promotion's history and I hope to have the opportunity to see more stuff from these two. They would also say that this is where Kevin Sullivan perfected his satanic cult worshipper character that eventually lead him to be The Taskmaster. Either way, their rivalry in Championship Wrestling from Florida set that territory ablaze and gave fans in the area great memories. An epic rivalry that stole the show in 2004 for the Intercontinental Championship that eventually lead to a super-team partnership as Rated RKO a few years later. And then, the seemingly impossible comeback from now Hall of Famer Edge reignited that rivalry in time for Wrestlemania 36...and maybe later down the road! Fit Finlay doesn't need much presentation but not familiar with Franz Schuhmann so if anybody knows more about him - and is more familiar with the CWA in Europe from that era -, this would be the topic to do so!

Now, this is a rivalry that I've heard about but actually know nothing about. As I haven't seen any of Tony St. Clair's work, I'm more than curious to learn more about this rivalry as well as pre-WCW Finlay and St. Clair himself!

Need we say more? Arguably the two most prominent figures outside of WWE in the past decade and the two aces of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Both men have carried the promotion on their shoulders for the past number of years, etching their place in history. What Steve Austin and The Rock have become to WWF during the Attitude Era, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kazuchika Okada have been to NJPW in the past decade. Okada has been recognized for so long as the best wrestler in NJPW but what about Tanahashi? This is the place to discuss everything Tanahashi vs Okada!
