Got a bunch of guys who are doing nothing on your cards? Got a youngster who just needs some more time in the ring? Want to keep that veteran from getting ring rust? Vince McMahon Sr is proud to announce the opening of NWF Developmental. This will be a sub-promotion that runs a single card a week in Buffallo, NY on Friday nights. It will be run by two legendary wrestlers very well known to the area, Johnny Powers and Dominic Denucci. The purpose of the sub-promotion is to ensure guys have in-ring time to hone their skills or stay in shape. This sub-promotion is also an ideal place to send guys who might be coming back from injury. A place to work in front …

Going to get this started. Rules - 1) Draft goes in order. You have the option of passing or picking. If you pick, you move to the back of the line. If you pass, you keep your spot for next month. So, don't pick if you have your eyes set on someone coming up in November. 2) If wrestlers remain after the first round finishes, the draft snakes back until all wrestlers are gone or all drafters pass. Any additional pick also sends the drafter to the end of the line for future months. peachchaos - PASS TravJ - PASS RocketCrypt - PASS Beast - PASS Boon - PASS KrisZ - PASS JHawk - PASS dawho5 - PASS goc - PASS Cross Face - PASS Grimmas - PASS Jesse Ewiak - PASS W…

Dave "Fit" Finlay Steven Wright Pete Roberts Marty Jones Stampede will be running without 4 of it's top stars in Jan/Feb '84 as Bret, Davey, Kid, and Cobra all leave for an extended tour of NJPW. Does anyone have an issue with me supplementing my roster with British talent for this timeframe only? I'd be willing to control the bookings for British talent entirely, but I'm guessing the big issue is that we really don't have any good source for results for these guys. Since we don't have anyone running England in our universe, does it even exist?

I definitely reckon we should have a free agents list that people that aren't needed at the moment can sit on, rather than sit on rosters and never be used. It may also give new writers a chance to see what's out there if they want to join and just write shows? A bit like an Indy promotion, while they wait for a bigger promotion to open up. I definitely have a few guys who could do with going out to smaller promotions.

Ok so now that we've firmly established that the merger is going through, let's just get this done with and we'll decide what happens with the new August talent afterwards. The draft order has already been decided in the other thread so let's stick with that. If you don't want to draft anyone by the time it's your turn you can just pass, I mean you don't HAVE to take anyone if you don't like what's there. 7/2/83 at the Montreal Forum (14,500) The show opened with Jacques Rougeau, Sr. explaining that King Tonga and Tonga John would not be participating in the tournament based on their actions towards Jim Brunzell. "That kind of behavior will not be tolerated in the International Wrestling Association," warned Rougeau. Jim Brunzell/Phil Lafon over Sgt. Slaughter/Mad Dog Lefebvre by DQ 11:14 Brunzell and Lafon started hot, but the veteran Slaughter took the advantage after going to the eyes and booting Lafon in the stomach several times. Lafon got worked over for a while, with Slaughter several times taking shortcuts to keep the advantage. The tag to Brunzell g…

However, people were pissed off with who they were paired off with, etc. . Instead of a pair system, how about a line system? I tried doing this with all of the territories in one line but it got too convoluted and I couldn't really see how it wo…

I've had a few people mention to me that they think that there isn't enough feedback going on right now for the promotions and I definitely am looking at myself on this as well as I don't think I tell you guys enough how great of a job you are doing. Believe me as someone who puts a lot into this...especially writing TV....it definitely makes you feel better to know that your work is being appreciated. Also it doesn't hurt to say if you don't think something is working because that lets us know we need to step our game up.

The WWF is committed to bringing through young talent and giving them exposure and experience "for the good of the business". The WWF fans are very good at remembering faces, and, who knows, one day the young hopefuls they see on TV could see their name in lights at the world famous Madison Square Gardens. But everyone has to start somewhere. The deal consists of the following: - 3 months of TV tapings every Wednesday, the youngster will appear on WWF Superstars or WWF Challenge - The youngster will be booked to a win, win, loss pattern. First win over a jobber, second win over a JTTS, loss to a star - The youngster may occassionally be used in small angles …

JULY 12, 1983 NWA PRESIDENCY CONTROVERSY Jim Crockett Jr. is now the new President of the NWA Board of Directors. Over the past week, there was a fierce debate on who should be the NWA President, and in effect, the person who controlled the bookings for the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The three nominees in contention were Crockett, Paul Jones of Georgia Championship Wrestling and Bob Geigel from Central States. Geigel had been President but a vote was taken to determine a new President as the NWA looks forward to unchartered territory. There were positive and negative traits from all three candidates. For current President, Bob Geigel, the feeling internally…

Missouri Heavyweight Championship Tournament July 4th, 1983 Kiel Auditorium, St. Louis, MO - Central States July 4th Missouri Heavyweight Championship Super Show opens up with former Missouri Heavyweight Champion Sonny Myers in the ring, holding the belt, as all eight men competing for the prestigious title are introduced. They spend the entire segment shooting daggers at each other, particularly King Kong Bundy and Dick the Bruiser, although Bundy’s manager, Gary Hart, seems more interested in the appearance of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan at the side of Nick Bockwinkel. With the introductions done, Myers allows each man to take a moment to touch the belt, before they gath…

Hey, Sorry guys. Had a crazy last couple of last weeks. Was in Vegas last weekend and a few more 4th of July plans than I thought the previous weekend. In short, my meager social life was a little more busy than I previously thought it was. Back to normal this weekend, so I should have everything caught up for World Class by the end of this weekend. Just think of it as a slight delay in the tapes getting out to the various tape traders. Thanks, Jesse Ewiak
