I didn't want to derail the 1983 project thread for determining a world champion, but I felt this was worth discussing. JVK said: I can't see any circumstance that Jerry Lawler becomes world champion in 1983. With the buzz from appearing on Late Night with David Letterman a year prior with Andy Kaufman I think this is possible. Getting my thoughts together now on how to make it happen.

The draft will start today (June 9) at 6 PM. Once a pick is made, the person on the clock has 10 hours to pick. Once the next person makes their pick (whether it is ten second or 9 hours) then the next person is on the clock for 10 hours. If you miss that range the person after you can pick and you can get yours in asap. You can pick any available talent (wrestlers and managers), except for the saved talent, previously draft talent and the few freelancers (see talent thread). Jack Tunney wants everybody to know that the NWA Canadian Champion will be able to tour any promotion from Wednesday to Saturday if needed. The champion has commitments to defend the title in Winnipeg for the AWA for a year (which should be the last friday of every month???) and in MSG outside of that the champion is wide open. 1. Injuries Proposal: Roll a dice, there is that many injuries that month. Random Number generator selects the wrestler and promotion on who is injured. The amount of months they are injured are determined by a roll of a dice. Real life injuries up the chances of being injured in game. 2. Retirement Proposal: If people are retire they retire and if people are retired they stay retired. If you want to try to bring someone out of retirement, we make a random chance game that comes out of rolling dice or a random number generator. Over the last year there has been some podcasts doing a draft and then fantasy booking cards that go with that. Also, through this subform, there has been some fantasy booking interest. This is a thread to see if there is interest for some kind of major draft continually going forward booking ongoing project. Whether we pick from anyone in history, or pick a specific time and go forward with it? Kind of like a wrestling draft and booking D&D game. Maybe post weekly cards here, or whatever. Picking a promotion: 1) Everybody puts in a top 3 list and I try to make it fair, if there is any conflict there will be a discussion between the parties in conflict. 2) You get the owner, announcers and referees from that promotion. 3) You get to take one talent from that original roster onto yours. If I draft a team does it have to be a team that is active as a team at the moment where the timeline is starting? I'm hesitant to say more than that and may end up making a controversial pick that will have to go to a vote, but I want to see what the general ruling on this is.
