This is a blast. Chakukiri is a kickboxing gym that's spread branches all over the world. Their branches in Japan put together mixed combat sports shows. This is a pro-wrestling match from one of their shows. Takatoshi Matsumoto is a legit BJJ brown belt who fought MMA for a while in Pancrase. He only has a handful of pro-wrestling matches, but given his experience he was able to transition to pro-wrestling. Fujiwara is 70 years old in this and still rules. There isn't much strikes thrown in this as it mostly revolves around some tight and gritty grappling. For the most part the strikes that are thrown come from Fujiwara and they are vintage brutal body shots and Matsumot…

Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima defend the GHC Tag Team Titles. Excellent battle having the strikers against the powerhouses. Kitamiya/Inamura did a great job working from underneath taking the chops and kicks of AXIZ also showing great fire and grit. Damn good tag match.

At the beginning things started off slow with both guys feeling each other out. Things spilled out on the floor with a little brawl and once thongs got back in the ring it got brutal fast. We got a short fight with with both guys throwing punches and lariats, plus it didn't hurt that Fujita busted open Taniguchi during this. Taniguchi tried his best with the two splashes and missed giving Fujita the opportunity to put things away with two kicks and getting the win with the choke out, excellent match.

This is the semi-final for a tournament that started out as a way to determine the #1 contender but ended up being for the vacant Actwres girl'Z title. These two truly go for broke here as they full on lay into each other with their strikes. After Honma figures out that she can't keep up with Takase on strikes, she decides to go after Takase's arm in an attempt to try to neutralize her. This works to a limited degree as even though Takase still manages to drill Honma a few times, each one doesn't hurt Honma as much as it should and Takase needs to take a few seconds to recover thus can't effectively follow up. Takase though smartly makes an adjustment herself and ends up …

A fantastically well built match with these two. Everything was crisp and clean and they went at a good pace while showing great intensity that peaked at the right time, truly one of the best matches in TJP this year.

An epic battle with these two women throwing heavy bombs at each other that sucked me in. This didn't drag or felt like overkill, the drama was well built to a fantastic end. An excellent story of these two once and for all trying to prove who's the best and a MOTYC for sure.

Footage of this has appeared online, although I was actually at this event (attended the MLW TV tapings the same day before heading over to this). This was the main event of a 5+ hour show that didn't seem like it wanted to end. It was originally scheduled to be Vordell vs. Chris Dickinson, but I believe Dickinson got injured and they announced Neal as his replacement and they changed the match into a street fight and boy did it deliver. This was a wild arena brawl with both guys throwing potatoes all over the place and taking awkward brutal bumps onto piles of chairs. Sucks the camera missed parts of this as he didn't leave the entrance way, but I remember them throwing …

Low-Ki vs Timothy Thatcher - MLW Fusion Episode 83 11/11/19 WOW! Does this one live up to the hype or what?!? I was shocked by the size discrepancy even though I have seen both men live I thought they were about the same size. I guess I thought Thatcher was smaller and Ki was bigger. I looked it up and it was mentioned that Thatcher is 6' 3" I cant believe he is 3 inches taller than me. The match is a great throwback to the days where matches were built around body contact and limb control, not stupid running spots. Loved the collar & elbow tieups and loved how they built from the feeling out process into the meat of the match. Thatcher won a Greco-Roman Kn…

Holy shit was not expecting this match to be this good. It follows a more southern tag formula, with Kento getting isolated and leaving Aoyagi by himself to survive the beating the dudes, specially BODYGAH, have in store for him. They are able to keep things interesting for the first 15 minutes of the match, it's nothing out of the ordinary but there's enough to keep your attention. Aoyagi is a good face in peril but his offense is so weak that his hope spots don't have as much "hope" as they should, imo. Still, the kid takes the beating like a man and his comeback lead to a nice hot tag by Miyahara. Then we get the last 7 minutes which were fucking GREAT and truly eleva…

Solid little match here. YO-HEY is another of NOAH's random Jr heavyweight guys that showed up around this time and he's pretty solid for what he's always been mostly, a tag specialist. That being said, he had a pretty decent outing. They work like this like you'd expect: Yo has the advantage when it comes to just straight up wrestling due to his atheticism and youth which lets him land spots and movez all over the place, but his cockiness early on costs him the advantage as him gloating allows Ogawa the time to dodge a outside dive and cause Yo to land right on his knee, badly hurting it. Ogawa smelling blood goes for the leg with his usual nasty control spots, using a c…

Adam Cole defends the WWE NXT Title. Both guys are banged up after last night NXT show and they go straight to work on each others injuries. The crowd seem burnt out by the time this one starts, but they gradually get back into the action once things pick up. Dunne and Cole do great jobs at selling their respective injuries. Dunne tries to work through the pain, although it's clear that he's in a lot of pain. The finishing stretch is a thing of beauty. Any match that has an apron Canadian Destroyer and not take me out of the match is doing something right. These guys made a spot that I would usually hate work. The compact length stopped this from turning into one of …
