Man, Jay White was just so good in this match. His attack on Shingo's back in the early going, his selling, his facial expressions & his timing on all those things -- so, so good & compelling to watch. Shingo was awesome as well; I always like to call him a "bulldozer" when he is on the offense, and I got that feeling here again when he was just running through Switchblade with his STUFF. Talking about running, I do think the match ran too long by the end of it - they could've wrapped it earlier and it would've been a tighter package, but like 95% or more of the overall thing was absolutely lovely, so yeah, I loved it. ***1/2

This kinda goes exactly as one would expect, and I for that reason wasn't really looking forward to watching it, BUT as usual with going into Ishii matches in general, I have my doubts about my interest in them, but usually always by the end, I come away with something I really loved. Such was the case here. Him & Suzuki brought the violence big time, with it being most in display in that absolutely wonderful sequence where Suzuki destroyed Ishii with those deadly forearms -- those strikes looked & sounded awesomely brutal, and Ishii's epic selling complimented them peeeerfectly. All in all, I really loved this. Sure it felt a bit long, as in it could've used some…

Astronauts are the best damn tag team in the world right now. A lot to unpack here. First, Aoki has become kind of a protege for Ohtani ever since he was sent to Zero1 for like a year+ of tours and tournaments, so they enter the tag league with the kid wanting to show he can hang. On the other side you have Nomura and Abe having even MORE confidence than usual now that they have the tag belts with them. The disrespect from Abe to Ohtani was fucking hilarious, and so were Ohtani's comebacks on dude The main story though is Aoki getting isolated and bullied but wanting to show Ohtani he can do it. There's some good drama and the match is basically 14 minutes of s…

This is a #1 Contender's match to challenge Miyuki Takase for the AWG Singles Title. This is by far the best Misa Matsui has ever looked to date, putting in a wonderful underdog performance against Mr Actwres Kakeru Sekiguchi (I don’t know if the nickname is deliberately gender swapped or not). Misa slips on the ropes really early on but they recover very well. The hard strike exchange in the corner is a big highlight. ***3/4

Nothing is better than a Keita Yano match with loud overbearing club music blaring in the background. Dove Pro DO NOT care about your auditory experience of the actual match, just pure beats. Yes the music does not stop, the whole match is them working out the match while it just keeps on going. I imagine it's a bit easier because you don't have to worry as much about calling spots because the music is as loud as it was, so unless you are Cena levels of shouting stuff out it doesn't really matter. The match itself was super basic with Yano controlling most of it with his tricked out grappling. HUB would get occasional moments where he'd do some crazy convoluted seque…

The traveling champion Thunder Rosa takes her talents to UWN defending her NWA Women’s title against Priscilla Kelly and is was great. These two brought it being snug with each other using the empty arena setting most effectively throwing hard chops and kicks making this feel like a real struggle. Rosa was her usual great self, she’s been killing it being one of the best women wrestlers in the world for 2020. What really impressed me was the performance of Priscilla Kelly. She was great keeping up and dishing it out, I really want to see what’s next for her. This is going in the notebook.

One of the most appealing looking matches on paper that has happened in 2020. And it was exactly the kind of a lovely, badass fight that one would expect a match between Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley to be. It didn't take long for them to just start laying it ON with them strikes & bigger stuff in suplexes and piledrivers, and it was all just awesome stuff. A pretty damn great TV main event. ***1/2

We thought Sareee was gone for WWE, but the covid pandemic meant she couldn’t go to the US as planned so now she’s back for her “WWE Countdown” Japan run. The first half of the match meanders a bit, but turns into one of the best title matches of the year once Sareee loses it and starts viciously kicking the hell out of Yoshiko when she’s down on the mat. The unexpected 2020 Sareee & Yoshiko saga continues. ****

Roman Reigns defends the WWE Universal Title This was everything it needed to be. One of the greatest main event matches they've done as a total package. Everything was executed perfectly. The entrances. The looks. The intensity. Roman being shirtless. The violence. The brutality. The amazing nearfalls. The commentary team. Everything made for an amazing match to solidify Roman Reigns as THE TRIBAL CHIEF OF THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION. A thousand stars out of five.
