I'm working on some things that I wanted to share with you all. A select few of you already know some of this, but I saw no need to keep it a secret from everyone any longer. I've mentioned before that I will be putting out a top 500 matches of the 90s. I've decided that instead of just doing a series of message board posts, I would like to make an e-book out of this concept. I will select the 500 best matches of the 90s from my point of view and review all of them in chronological order. Since the yearbook threads tend to be very well-received, I thought why limit it to just that. We will have some features available to us with the upgrade that have the potential to make PWO a true Opinion On Anything Ever Database (OOAED??) that is easily searchable. So, I will be slowly expanding this portion of the forum to include a thread about pretty much every relevant and match, angle and interview in the history of pro wrestling where footage exists. We will keep with the current organization of a year folder and month subfolders, and just keep expanding on it to cover wrestling all the way to the modern day. I dunno if it's just me or not, but, ever since the board upgrade, I get error messages when I try to click certain links on the board. If I'm on the homepage, and try to click the most recent thread in the folder (EX: The Warrior one right now in Pro Wrestling). Also, if I'm looking at the microscope index, and click the link under the wrestlers name to get to the thread. I tried both from work and from home.

Has anyone come across a way to click all forums "read"? It's probably something obvious I am simply missing. I mostly live on the view new content page, and I am currently getting pages of "old" threads marked as unread since I hadn't been here in awhile.

I get lots of PMs asking me why the Like feature isn't on because they'd like to use it. I also get lots of PMs thanking me for turning it off because turning it on would be horrible. I don't care either way - I just want everyone to be happy. But people are divided on this topic, so please use this thread to figure it out amongst each other. If there is some consensus established here, we'll go with that.

I just deleted nearly 60 pages of spam account requests. They seem to have peaked years ago and don't really happen much anymore from what I can tell. I resent validation emails to those that looked legit. From here on, if your account looks legit, I will send a second validation email to your account. When I see your name pop up a second time, I will approve it. It's not foolproof, but hopefully it will help. I want to make it as easy as possible for new members to join the board. Apologies to anyone who has slipped through the cracks.

We have the option to upgrade, which would make the interface very similar to DVDVR and should fix the majority of the tech issues we have had lately. From your experience, what are the positives and negatives of posting (and administrating - for DVDVR admins) on that software?

This is a known issue that I'll hopefully have resolved soon. I am waiting to hear back from our server guy, as he did an upgrade recently and it messed a few things up, most of which have been fixed by now. But if your post contains a "smart" apostrophe (one that curls to the left or right), you'll receive the IPS Driver Error because the board doesn't recognize the character. If you encounter this, make sure that your post doesn't have any smart apostrophes and it should go through successfully. I realize this is an inconvenience, especially when copying and pasting something that may contain this character. Hopefully it will be fixed very soon.

Posting a picture of a spread anus in as many threads as possible made me think he was spammed until he started individually bashing our posters. You shouldn't see a trace of him now, but please let me know if I missed anything. Rovert, we should have listened I suppose.

Earlier I was having issues sending someone a PM, getting database connection errors. Wasn't having any issues posting, or elsewhere on the site. Then I sent myself a PM a little while ago as a test... and then deleted it. Now I have: "-1 New Messages" Showing up at the top of the page. Anyone else having PM issues?

I just took a glance at the number of threads in the yearbook folders and, well, damn. It's almost 5000 threads! To say nothing of the length and detail of many of the posts. Loss has really gone above and beyond with this, and it gives the rest of us a place to comment on the content in the sets, whether we're watching the yearbooks in order or randomly seeing individual segments. I really hope the board doesn't suffer a DVDVR-like crash, because this will be a valuable resource for years to come. Kudos, Loss!

I've got mine set to PST, but it's saying that it's 7am rather than 2pm. Anyone else find the time setting for the site off?

I'm all for spirited and even occasionally heated debates. But when it starts driving people away from the board and actually lowers the discourse instead of making it better, I'm not interested. Would you prefer more mod/admin intervention in cases like this, or should we continue our hands-off approach? Please post here. PM me your thoughts if you have a suggestion but don't want to be linked to it in front of everyone.

it's almost impossible for me to focus on the text when there's a hypnotic, repeating image distracting the shit out of me. the worst part is that the guys who have them usually write great posts, so you can't skip over them without missing something.

I've noticed lately, that a decent amount of posts on the board have contained links for groupon, with random words in the post being linked. I took a screen cap and posted it below. You'll see that the word "YEARBOOK" is underlined in the forum description for the 1990 section. Is anyone else getting these, or just me?

Three people have the power to ban members... Loss, myself, and Dylan Waco. You can disagree with us, hate us and despise our opinions on wrestling (Hell, has anyone had more arguments on the internet than Dylan?). However, if we make a decision on offensive language or inappropriate discussion or board matters, don't be a dick and beg to get banned.

The Naylor comments from a few pages ago got me to thinking. What ever happened to Kevin Cook?

I lost my password here ages ago then sort of gave up after like 20 tries to decipher the Rosetta Stone that is those pictures you have to type out to get a new password here, then got a new comp and was gone forever. But came back and finally got a picture I could decipher. Those really aren't very clear though. I got lucky that I got one with two 3's, a 4, a 7 and an A in it, but some of them are as good as a totally different alphabet.

I see it's locked/closed. I know it was getting long, but perhaps letting it run to the end of 2011 and then start a 2012?
