  1. WAR CUTY!!! I don't know what the hell it is about The Scorpion that brings out Cuty's inner asskicker like this, but it sure has produced a memorable match series. Match opens with Cuty posting Scorpion's arm and then just does her best Arn Anderson impression ripping the hell out of that arm and sinking into armbars at awkward angles. I was a little worried about Scorpion selling all that at first but it ended up being fine. Match was unexpectedly really gritty with Scorpion throwing headbutts and savage kicks and Cuty punching her in the mouth like she's Fuchi or something. Really enjoyed the tricked out finishing run once again which left quite a bit on the table for …

  2. It's a wild, bloody Puerto Rican brawl; what's not to love? Miguelito looks so great here as the worlds most badass/hairiest Freddy Mercury. A guy with great punches, throwing lots of punches is probably the easiest match formula for a good match. He had some fucking crazy "fired up" selling too and I liked how he started bitch slapping his opponent as if he wanted more of a fight. Both guys get thrown over the announce table awkwardly, barfight style, and chairs thrown in their face while security guards anxiously watch for potential knife attackers. Castillo's transition to offense was a little weak but his offense looked plenty violent. I also liked his bloody 1000 yar…

  3. I'd like to imagine young Ogawa being all giddy after being told that he's going to have a chance to hone his skills by being a given a singles match with a true Japanese legend, only for him to be battered and bloodied by Adbullah The Butcher in four minutes. Ogawa gets just two punches in. This shows that Abby could get the most out of nothing. Watching him take a second to give a menacing look before he finishes Ogawa off with an elbow jumps shows why the Japanese crowds were enamoured with him for so long. As far as pure squashes goes, this was very entertaining. ★★¾

  4. Future LCO Etsuko Mita is damn near unrecognizable here in her plain-ness. Before the match Minami gets on the mic to say something directed at Hokuto. I don't know if she and Hokuto were tagging at this point, but whatever she said, I'm sure she regretted it quickly as Nakano and Hokuto proceed to beat the everliving shit out of both Mita and Minami. I mean holy hell this match is brutal. Hokuto and Nakano are wrecking machines here. Nakano comes in and blasts everyone around the ring with lariats to the face and throat. Mita lands near KO'd underneath the rope, Nakano steps on her throat and Hokuto delivers a kick square in the face. Jesus. Hokuto proceeds to slap the s…

  5. Title match of some kind. The opening matwork was really good right away. It looked like Yoshida had come in with an injury to her right leg and Takako, the champion, was taking full advantage. Yoshida is really good at creating a sense of struggle from underneath. Once it's Yoshida's turn to work over Takako's back it loses something for me. Takako just isn't as good at working from underneath. Yoshida's selling while working over Takako's back is good too. Once they go to the nearfalls selling seems like it is thrown out the window. I do like that they get across how high risk moves can cost you, but given the time the match runs it seems a little rushed. Yoshi…
