  4. Ep 2 is up! (Link and description deeper in the thread) Pleased as punch to finally announce me and Matt Feuerstein's new ongoing podcast project: ThROH The Years. We're going to be review every ROH event (Until we get tired of it) starting from the first show. Obviously the timing has turned out to be great/strange, and I think 15 years is just long enough to where these shows can be looked back at from a fresh perspective. To the best of my knowledge no one else is doing it yet in podcast form either. Where The Big Boys play is a show Matt and I are fans of and an obvious influence. First episode is up, a nearly 160 minute whopper where we discuss ROH as a whole and…

  5. I've been doing a podcast with a buddy of mine Jim for a little while and I finally think we've gotten into a groove. As the name suggests, we are watching from the start of the WCW era onwards and this latest episode is our review of Halloween Havoc 90! I had a blast, I hope you do listening. https://youtu.be/N0eHS0VJh3g

Launching a new wrestling website alongside Tanner1495, Chris Gibbins, and Dan Rice. Some of the goals of the site include having a home for the sort of writing we don't see a ton of out there right now. Or that exist more on personal blogs. Building a community of folks to bring something forward. Later this week we are also launching ways for folks to be able to support the site financially so we can see how we can truly pay people going forward. We aren't going to turn the site into something people can turn into their day job but if we are lucky, maybe this gets into side hustle territory for folks. So far we already announced the VIOLENT PEOPLE 100 which li…

  9. My solo podcast on puroresu history has released its pilot episode. It's an hour-long look at the Idol Showdown between Jumbo Tsuruta and Mil Mascaras, but it's not a standard review of the match. I go deep into the historical context of the match, building the story up through the groundbreaking use of entrance music for Mascaras in early 1977. I take a look at the fan culture of the time, through the perspective of a fan club chairman whose life was shaped by Mascaras. I uncover the reason why the Jumbo-Mascaras match was booked. I take an educational approach to the match discussion, hoping to give modern fans a guide to appreciate the more traditional craftsmansh…

  10. So it's been quite a while since I've posted anything podcast related here. From 2013-2019 or so podcasting, and specifically wrestling podcasting, was a huge part of my life. It used to be a huge part of this board as well. Things started to decline post GWE for various reasons. Then 2020 hit. The combination of the pandemic and me losing interest in wrestling led to the feed changing. For the first time non-wrestling shows joined the feed (this is mainly why the name changed from PWO to PWOM), and after World Cast #100 in August 2020 I "retired" from podcasting. For the last two years the feed, as PWOM, has continued. In about 2 weeks annual fees are due for Soundc…

  11. Started by Outsider,

I'm fascinated with Gary Hart and his knowledge of the Wrestling industry. Extremely underrated for his mind for the business. He had a gift of creating stars. He created the colorful larger than life characters. Starting with George Steel. He worked directly for Jim Barnett in several territories. He was from the streets of Chicago and didn't let anyone take advantage of him. Several people tried including Jarrett and Paul Boesh Gary understood who were main event talent and who wasn't. Even when some promoters would force talent down fans throats. I think Hart would have been a huge asset to the WWF expansion era because he knew how to repackage dull talent. Ha…

I didn't know about the Lapsed Fan podcast, despite the fellas being known around these parts. Their "Dark Side of the Ring" companion podcast showed up in my YT feed and I have to say it's fantastic. Keep doing it guys, you're doing it right. Highest recommendation.

  14. Started by The Thread Killer,

The first episode of the Arn Anderson/Conrad Thompson podcast was released this morning. It is not available on all platforms yet, but is available at ArnShow.com. The first episode covers Arn's early life and entrance into the business. You can tell he's a bit tenuous and nervous, but he's still a great storyteller. As others have said, the success of this show will rise and fall on Arn's willingness to be forthcoming with information - something that up to this point he has been notoriously reticent about. For a first episode, this was pretty damn interesting and the famous Arn Anderson dry wit is already starting to come across. I am curious about how this podcast i…

  15. Started by Quentin Skinner,

Good morning all. With the big news of Psychology is Dead moving over to the PWO feed happening yesterday, I felt having a master thread of sorts would make sense. So the previous three episodes before the jump were on Wrestling With Words and featured guests such as Dylan Hales, Timothy from This Week In Wrestling and Lucha Undead, and Brock from Sports Entertainment Shrinks. I'd highly recommend listening those not just for the sake of my ego, but also because I feel they do a great job giving a feel for what I aim for the show to be every time I record. The debut episode on the PWO feed features Chad as we go over the art of storytelling in wrestling and ex…

  17. https://soundcloud.com/wedontknowwrestling Doing rebranding of the WasimCast. Hated the name so we start anew. For the debut episode of the podcast we bring in Al Getz, owner of Whoo Wrestling. I know I'm not one of the big posters here but I'd also really enjoy feedback on the WDKW Postmortem #1. With everyone here being pretty knowledgeable and quite a few good writers here I thought it wouldn't be bad to ask your thoughts. http://wedontknowwrestling.tumblr.com/post/130330586595/wdkw-postmortem-1-i-cant-say-i-grasped-the

Episode #1 http://placetobenation.com/world-cast-a-wccw-review-episode-1/ Pete, Kelly and Johnny are back in action with this all-new podcast devoted to a chronological look at WCCW's World Class TV show, as found on the WWE Network. First up is January 2, 1982. There is a different host and different theme music. "Big Daddy" Bundy is wearing jeans and a rope belt, and Kevin Von Erich is wearing wrestling boots. Yes, this isn't the World Class everyone knows and loves quite yet! Sit back and enjoy this journey through a bygone era with the boys, it's going to be a blast!

  21. As I have mentioned in a couple of other threads, I am a subscriber to Conrad Thompson's "Ad Free Shows" service. For a monthly fee, I get all five of Conrad's podcasts released up to a week early and with no ad reads of any kind during the episodes. Also, there is a significant amount of bonus content. Each host either releases a Ad Free Shows exclusive "bonus episode" every month, or does something else exclusive for Ad Free Shows subscribers. Sometimes it is an interview discussing something that they do not feel comfortable discussing on the standard public podcast. An example would be Eric Bischoff and Conrad did an extensive, in depth episode covering Eric's hirin…

I just wanted to let everyone know that for the last 6 months or so I have been doing a podcast on the History of FMW. Every episode we go over about 6 months or 12 months worth of stuff that was going on with FMW as well as its rival promotions/the off shoot promotions that followed it. I have posted YouTube links to all the episodes. History of FMW Volume 1: Before they were FMW History of FMW Volume 2: 1989 History of FMW Volume 3 - First half of 1990 History of FMW Volume 4 - Second half of 1990 History of FMW Volume 5 - First half of 1991 History of FMW Volume 6 - Second half of 1991 History of FMW Volume 7 - First half of 1992 …

  25. SCG Radio returns for Part 3B of our series talking 1991 in the WWF! This time, we're continuing our look into July and August by analysing Ric Flair's departure from WCW and impending arrival in the WWF, all the insanity that led to it with Jim Herd, as well as evaluating the lead-up to Flair's exit and aftermath. In addition, we're looking at the undercard build to Summerslam 1991 and talking all about the show itself, featuring Bret Hart's IC Title win over Mr. Perfect, the JAILHOUSE MATCH, Virgil's career peak and a great deal more. A ton of fun looking at the TV and news of the period, check it out and let us know what you think! If you don't download it here, it's a…
