Feel free to listen in as Cameron Hawkins (PW Torch East Coast Cast, South Kongress Podcast), Shahid Abdul-Hadi (Stunt Granny), Rich Fann (PW Torch East Coast Cast, PW Torch Deep Dive), and Steve Williams (PTBN's For Your. Plus, John Stockton of the Utah Jazz catches unnecessary slander! The two parts run less than 3 hours total, so feel free to give it a listen and give feedback! https://soundcloud.com/southkongress/sets/best-of-wwe-nxt-2017

  9. https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/mount-olympus-fall-2017-wwe-unreleased-part-2 After a bit of a delay, Kelly and the legendary Richard Land are back to finish their exploration of the WWE Unreleased DVD. They are looking at matches from the New Generation era, or what some consider the Dark Ages of wrestling. As they review the footage, Kelly and Landy simultaneously chart the slow, steady decline of the WWF during this period. Both have strong emotional ties to the time, so this discussion goes deeper than just reviewing matches. Along the way marvel at the aborted revival of Piper's Pit, strange tag team combinations, the lame end of Hulkamania, former partne…

  13. In the latest episode of Wrestling with a Generation Gap, we make a change of pace and go to the movies to watch the Wrestler. But not the famous (or infamous) Mickey Rourke film, instead it's deep into the mind of Verne Gagne with the 1974 movie. We do a live commentary on the movie featuring the struggles of Ed Asner to promote honestly, make his super bowl of wrestling a success, outwit the evil mobster Sam Menacker, match wits with the smartest, best, most talented wrestler of all time, Mike Bullard, and strangely turn down the advances of his younger hot secretary! Then we go into even stranger territory and comment on the best of the Breezango files as Rob…

  21. I've been listening to his stuff for about a year now. I enjoy his knowledge, experience and insight, but harping on about the same 'issues' on modern wrestling weekly can get a bit repetative and grating.

  22. Kris & David are joined by Patreon supporter Will Tricity, and we discussed a week he picked out, which was November 22-28, 1998. We talked about a huge week in WCW where we had a rumored power struggle between Hulk Hogan & Kevin Nash forcing Hogan to retire on The Tonight Show. We also discuss all the Japan & Mexico news before going back to the US to discuss ECW running Florida and lots more indie news. We then talk about a wild WWF section including RAW with the return of Shawn Michaels as Commissioner and Steve Austin almost being embalmed. Definitely quite the week in wrestling history so don’t miss this show!!!! 0:00:00 WCW 2:18:05 Int’l: Japan (AJPW…

  23. One of my firm beliefs is that it is never too late. One of the best examples of this is the pro wrestling career of Mark Henry. For 15 years he was treated like a joke and loser, but in 2011 when he was finally given an opportunity to be a superstar, he went on a tear that will go down as one of the all time great monster heel runs. Showing us that Mark Henry always had what it took to be a World Champion he just needed the opportunity and once he got it he made his dream into a reality. Work hard, prepare and be vigilant and when that opportunity comes be just like big ol 412 lb Mark Henry take it and never let it go. It is never too late to be great. http://riding…

  25. Welcome to the 18th episode of Wrestling with a Generation Gap! This time Dave, Nick and Rob take a look at one of the LEAST regard territories of all time, Al Tomko's Vancouver based All Star Wrestling. The gang eulogizes over Rob's favorite wrestling personality ever, Bobby Heenan (this was recorded months ago), Rob is somewhat on a downer over getting canned and the worst job interview ever (he since has a better job lol) but the boys power through this awful territory. They debate which war Al fought in, whether or not a territory based on aging legends works then or today, Dave loves Tomko, Dave argues Ricky Steamboat was a luchadore, PTB Networks GWWE contest, bios …
