I know, not a podcast, just a youtube show, but I didnt know where else to put this. Surprised we dont have a thread for this show, as it's really well-done, not just "this angle was dumb lol" jokes, but actually and fairly analyzing all aspects of his topics. He also does reviews of wrestling shows, which is why i'm here, as he recently reviewed AJW Dream Rush 1992:

Brother Love Bruce Prichard has a great podcast with Conrad (Flair's sidekick) walking through old WWF events in their entirety. I've listened to 3 of the 4 episodes (Dusty Rhodes' WWF run, The Mega Powers feud, The Lex Express). Conrad and Bruce walk through things chronologically and it's a great listen. Conrad also challenges Bruce quite a bit on things the Internet might say or when he feels things are being presented as B.S.. Anyway, I'm getting ready to listen to the podcast on The Ultimate Warrior. If I had to draw a comparison it would be to the podcasts the PTBN guys did with Kevin Kelly about what happened backstage during his WWF tenure. So far th…

Well, it's definitely not your typical Conrad style show. I'll give it that much. I really like it for that, but I'm not sure how it holds up over the long haul. Time will tell. I listened to the first episode, and it's just like being parachute dropped into a conversation between Oliver and Nash. There's both good and bad that comes with that, but again - I dig it. It feels familiar and simple. Easy listening, for sure. There are separate segments and whatnot, which give it a real radio vibe. But yeah. The looser format works in its favor with a guy like Nash. The detailed timeline of Scott Hall's declining health and eventual death are... well, obviously …

The life and times of Vince Jr is the subject of a 6 part deep dive featured on a pretty popular podcast. I'm not a regular listener but my wife is. Thought I'd give it a shot, mostly so I could compare notes with her. I listened to the first half hour last night. The host, Robert Evans, is not a wrestling fan (and he pronounces wrestling as "resselling" in that non-fan way that annoys the shit out of me) but he's clearly put in a lot of research here. I'm at the part where Evans and his guests are discussing George Hackenschmidt and the early days of wrestling. Good stuff so far, including info on the origins of working dating to 1830s France that I dont think I've heard…

Now that the William Regal podcast is done, Conrad Thomason’s music producer Matt Koon is starting a new podcast on Conrad’s Podcast Heat/Ad Free Shows Network with…Dax Harwood. Koon and Dax are apparently buddies. I used to follow Koon on Twitter for a while and he is one of the loudest voices on Twitter complaining about how FTR are being misused in AEW. He’s also very pissy about the fact that Tony Khan replaced the (terrible) custom theme that Koon had produced for FTR in AEW with the Midnight Express knockoff (which is a million times better.) Somebody on Twitter jokingly asked Cash Wheeler if he would be getting a podcast too, and Wheeler replied: “Let me …

Still, by far, my favorite wrestling podcast going today. I could have sworn we had a thread for this one, but I guess it was just comments here and there in other threads... Anyway, I started going back and filling in the gaps with episodes I'd missed along the way. There's too many tremendous stories to mention or recommend, and a lot of them can't be done justice without hearing them told in the right context. But I highly recommend seeking some of these out if you ever want a change of pace from your regular rotation. Don't let Bradshaw's reputation fool you. The guy is simply a BLAST as a host here. This show is light and loose, easy listening. I've he…

If by any chance I missed another thread about this topic please let me know. Getting into wrestling in the 90’s, one rite of passage was waiting for the new magazines to arrive. The official WWF and WCW ones (when they were available anyway). I probably spent as much time in newsstands at the mall then the arcade or toy stores, because they had the more niche mags that I felt were a bit more fancy because they usually had more color pics. Learning about the history of the business in the way Bill and his “writers” (never quite sure what kind of staff he worked with really, I should check out his book soon) put it gave me more perspective on what I was watching…

Hey PWO, Inspired by the Dark Side of the Ring episode on Herb Abrams and the "Tortured Ambition" book by Jonathan Plombon, and maybe just a little by @El-P's hysterical and self torturing journey through WCW here on PWO, @GeneJackson95 and I have decided to launch the UWF Fury Cast! A weekly journey through the few highs and numerous lows of Herb Abrams Universal Wrestling Federation. Each week we'll discuss the matches, promo's, and other happenings both on the episode and around the UWF. Needless to say this will be more of a light hearted podcast, because the subject matter is.....well..... less than impressive! Anyway.... You can refresh yoursel…

So the first episode of this show was released yesterday, and I just finished listening to it. I figured I'd share my initial impressions and see what other PWO Good Brothers thought. We talked about this podcast in the Conrad Thompson thread here in the Podcast folder, but I figured that now the show has officially premiered it probably deserves it's own thread. Firstly, this was definitely not like the other podcasts on the Ad Free Shows service. All of those shows follow Conrad Thompson's tried and true blueprint. Namely, the host (usually but not always Conrad himself) announces a topic and follows some very specifically researched questions/bullet points reg…

Hey all! I've been posting these videos in the match threads they relate to but I've been encouraged to start up a thread on its own just so I can collate them all in the same place. I've been doing video essays since around May basically just covering and discussing some of my favorite matches and moments in pro wrestling. I've put everything in a playlist that I will link below and I will be posting subsequent videos on this thread as well! Probably the stuff I'm proudest of is my Walking the King's Road series where this sight has been an absolutely invaluable source for putting everything together. So thank you to everyone who contributes to the forums for helping to …

It's official https://twitter.com/HeyHeyItsConrad/status/978769512681082881 I'm looking forward to this because I get the feeling Conrad can break through some of Bischoff's bullshit, and call him out on it like he does with Bruce.

I'm not sure if anybody has heard this podcast yet, but it's actually pretty good. Obviously you'll get more out of it depending on when and where you were as a Hardy fan, but the guy isn't shy about the details at all. If you're like me and burned out by hearing the same stories retold a thousand times, then at least this one offers new information and tellings of events. They're doing an interesting thing where they're breaking down every chapter of Matt's gimmicks and reinventions. They're starting with the polarizing Broken stuff, which makes sense. But Matt pours alot into each topic and fully immerses himself into breaking down his influences and decisions for …

The first part of the William Regal interview from 3/16 is a great listen. Regal went through so much health related stuff that it’s a miracle he’s still here. I’m looking forward to part 2 hopefully sometime soon next month.

Is It Shane Richie? The Adventures Of A Wrestling Journeyman' - a brand new podcast by former British wrestler Carl Conroy. Carl wrestled from May 1996 to October 2012 and, while he was never anything more than a lowly journeyman, he did have lots of interesting adventures, and met lots of interesting people on said adventures. The show will feature stories, anecdotes and reminiscences both from Carl and various guests, who will be announced in due course. The first episode will be out very soon and I will post details here once it's ready. Facebook and Twitter pages for the podcast can be found here.... https://www.facebook.com/conroypod/ https:/…
