  9. Started by texaspedro,

Hola! I'm Pedro, an artist from Texas and a lifelong wrestling fan. I haven't posted much here before but my friend Josh, Eegah here on PWO, has been taking part in the Greatest Wrestler Ever project and posting in those threads. He and I have put together a blog for digesting wrestling reviews that we write up during the week. We have three issues up at the moment and I made some nifty covers for them. We thought we'd share a link to it here in case anyone would be interested in checking it out. We're both trying to improve on our writing so hopefully the more we do it the better we will get at it. Anyways, just wanted to share with y'all. Hope you check it out and I hop…

  11. Our pal David Shoemaker is back at Bill Simmons' new site The Ringer with "The Story of Vince McMahon", and it's actually pretty good. This is because Shoemaker didn't write any of it - it's an oral history of Vince made up of quotes made by Vince himself pulled from various interviews. The oral history thing is super-played out at this point, but for me Vince is such a fascinating person that it works for me.

  12. Last year, I interviewed Ricky Steamboat for a couple stories for Fighting Spirit Magazine, including their "Training Ground" featured that features all kinds of advice for wrestlers. He gave some amazingly in-depth responses and I boiled down the best stuff for the article. Amazing nuggets about how to get across that you're trying to win, the right amount of selling, how to make big moves mean something (he specifically says that he has no problem with doing as many big moves as you want as long as you contextualize them properly), and more. In light of the Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet BOSJ match discussion, I nagged FSM editor Brian Elliott to post it on the FSM websi…
