  1. Started by Bix,

http://davidbix.com/the-bix-show-episode-3-doug-gilbert/ Doug Gilbert, who’s been everywhere from Memphis to Bill Watts’ UWF to WCW to the Savoldis’ ICW to the Global Wrestling Federation to ECW to the WWF, joins the show this week. We cover everything from the Brad Armstrong Memorial Show to growing up in a wrestling family to who he learned from throughout his career to why Lance Russell is the best wrestling announcer ever among many other topics. There are some technical issues thanks to cell phone reception that hold us back for a few minutes, but that’s over with quickly and it turns into a really awesome conversation. I didn't get to link it on the site …

  2. After taking suggestions from this forum and many others, our podcast talking about Wrestling Pet Peeves and Irrational Hatreds is now online. Talking everything from WWE buzzwords, booking policy and conventions, to commonly held opinions and some tremendously humorous foibles that people have with the Greatest Sport Of Them All, the panel runs through them all and add their own to the pile, as well as inserting to logic to try and dispell a few along the way. This ended up being a really fun show, and I especially want to thank everybody here for their candidates, as it led to some really interesting discussion. Have a listen and as always, let me know what you thin…

  3. http://davidbix.com/the-bix-show-episode-002-lance-russell For the second episode of The Bix Show, we’ve got two different guests in separate segments: We start off with the legendary voice of Memphis wrestling, Lance Russell, who joins the show to, among other things, get us up to speed on what he’s been up to lately, including the Memphis Grizzlies’ Wrestling Night, the Gulf Coast Wrestlers’ Reunion, sitting down for WWE’s Jerry Lawler DVD, and his upcoming appearance at PopCon in Evansville, Indiana. We also cover all sorts of historical topics including some of his non-wrestling broadcasting memories, wrestling content that got him in trouble as dir…

  4. Started by grapplin' apple,

Hi, I'm a new user, and am loving this board so far. Has anyone read the Don Fargo book "The Hard Way?" I just finished it. It's literally the craziest wrestling book I've ever read. Some highlights: --He is illiterate. --He joined the KKK and goes on to say that they weren't a bad group of people. He gives an example of the KKK harassing child and wife abusers. --There is at least a page detailing how his wife became a stripper after they were together. --The ribs that him and Jackie Fargo did were insane. These including Don jumping onto a moving car packed with wrestlers while Jackie drove and convincing innocent hitchhikers that one of them had murdered…

  9. Hey folks! I haven't posted too much here since joining but I follow the conversations regularly and listen to pretty much all of the PTBN-PWO Podcasts. I've recently started a project at PTBN breaking down the top matches of 2014 as voted on by the Voices of Wrestling contributors. A lot of this non-WWE stuff I'm seeing for the first time, so it's a perspective you might not get elsewhere. Hope y'all enjoy! Here's Part 1 http://placetobenation.com/breaking-down-the-top-matches-of-2014-part-1-25-21/ And Part 2 http://placetobenation.com/breaking-down-the-top-25-matches-of-2014-part-2-20-16/

After that, we move into the MMA and kickboxing realm with a look at UFC’s surprising strong morning/afternoon card this Saturday covering topics that include whether or not Ricardo Lamas is boring and the greatne…

  13. Since it's the obvious topic, this week's show focuses on WrestleMania 31, the post-Mania Raw, and the immediate future of the WWE - talking babyface Brock, Roman Reigns' next move, the use of Sting in WWE, problems with Rusev and Bray Wyatt going forward, the greatness of Rock and Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins and the direction of the WWE Title, and of course, scattered comments on WrestleMania itself. A fun show as always, give it a listen and let me know what you think... http://squaredcirclegazette.podbean.com/mf/play/xnc3as/SCGRadio34-Mania31RawandBeyond.mp3

  14. Started by concrete1992,

Was just going to post links in the 2015 MOTY thread but figure that would probably get bothersome. So, if anyone thinks it'd be better to post it over there too, lemme know. The blog is something me and TJ Hawke are working on. It is the DEFINITIVE guide to the MOTYCs in 2015. Okay, maybe not. But we pool recommendations to post on and will be doing so more regularly in the coming weeks. Right now, the latest post is on Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar from WrestleMania. https://matchoftheyear.wordpress.com/

  15. Will (Good Will Wrestling) is joined by Kris Zellner (Exile on Badstreet), Dylan Hales (Wrestling Culture), Pete and Johnny Sorrow (Titans of Wrestling). 19. Started by benjaminkicks,

I'm attempting to get back into writing regularly about wrestling, so here's my shitty blog. Pretty simple for now, I just plan on reviewing random matches that I watch. I'll hopefully do a few of these a week, but who knows? And I'll probably branch off from match reviews if I got other things I want to rant about. I'm trying to get better at writing about wrestling, and writing in general, so even if you haven't seen the match in question, if you have any feedback for me, I'm all ears. And if you got any suggestions of matches I should review, let me know. Anyway, here's my first review: KENTA vs. Davey Richards – ROH Fight of the Century 2006 (8/4/06) http…

  20. Back by popular demand (several years ago that has probably since evaporated), my weekly All-Request Friday Nights return to Segunda Caida starting this Friday, January the 9th. That's where you - the reader - request matches for me to watch and review, and I review five of them every week, sometimes to my delight, sometimes to my regret, but hopefully always to your entertainment and enlightenment. So get your picks in now, and let's see where this Friday will take us. Segunda Caida, the stuff internet wrestling dreams are made of

  22. Started by TheTagRope,

So it's come to this, the fourth issue. For those who may not have heard of us, my name is Ryan Carse and I'm the editor of The Tag Rope, a quarterly professional wrestling magazine based in the United Kingdom. What started out originally as an assignment for university has now blossomed into a fully-fledged publication, available in both physical and digital formats across the world. Issue #3 was launched in late December to an overwhelmingly positive response, and featured articles such as a preview of New Japan's Wrestle Kingdom 9 event, a look at Britain's second-ever no rope barbed-wire deathmatch between Jimmy Havoc and DJ Hyde (featuring interviews with…

  24. Hi I'm looking for guests for my podcasts. I host Get in the Ring on Montgomery County Community College's internet radio station Montco Radio on Fridays from 1-3PM. The station's phone number is 215-619-7366 and my Skype is at dkookypunk43. I'm looking for guests to talk about current and classic wrestling topics, lists and discussions. I am flexible and can do recordings at your convenience. Thanks for reading this.

  25. Started by BillThompson,

So I had the idea a while back for a podcast devoted to discussion of MOTY by year. Basically at this point the idea I have in my mind is that each episode would focus on a year in wrestling, with myself and my co-host/guests giving our top 10 matches for that year. I want this to be all encompassing too, not just recent stuff. I've even thought that when the pickings get slim there could always be supplemental episodes for years where we offer more matches, or I just do episodes with different guests who will offer different perspectives on the year. Nothing is set in stone yet, I'm still in the feeling out stages of this thing. I do know a few things, --I'm probably…
