Clash 7 was one of those kinda nothing shows with a lot of silly fun stuff in it. I have a question for those of you who listen to this podcast regularly. We want to make it as enjoyable as possible, so we've been thinking for a few weeks about the play-by-play. Is it necessary? Would you miss it if we just cut it entirely and skipped to analysis? Anyone else read this yet? Got mine in the mail last weekend, already finished it. It's a quick read, but a very cool book in my opinion. It's basically the history of the Missouri Title, starting with an early version of the title that predates the famous St. Louis version. Then it covers the tournament for the St. Louis version and goes over every match and angle, including TV squashes, that the Missouri champion had during their reign. Each champion's reign starts with a photo with them with the championship belt. There's lots of quotes along with the way from the champs themselves, or other challengers at the time. Some of the quotes are from other books, like …

We talk about the confusing nature of Hogan lying down for Jarrett, how well it was presented to the audience and by the commentators, what seemed real and what seemed like part of the show, Russo's strengths and weaknesses as a character, whether Jarrett and Booker were good choices as WCW's champions, and more.
