I know today is Valentines Day but my wife and i are having dinner tomorrow night so we don't have to wait for three hours to get a table. I can do the show tonight or tomorrow. If we do it tomorrow, it would be later than normal, maybe an hour later. If you are interested in being a part of the show but tomorrow would work better for you, speak up!!! If not, Johnny and I will join whoever wants to jump in tonight.

Thanks once again to Kelly for this. I don't know if I was just in a good mood, or whether it was the great show we were talking about, or just speaking to a Canadian, but for some reason I felt like this was the most fun I've had doing one of these shows so far. If you think GAB 89 is the best PPV of all time, let us know here. And if you don't think it is, what's your pick then? Try to include some justification for why you think it's better than GAB89, because I think it takes some beating. We are definitely reading out some comments on the Clash 8 show. Also, following your feedback here, this will mark the last time there is play-by-play on these shows. Wher…

Thanks once again to Lee and Jason for this. Talking with Lee and also reading other British people's origin stories in this thread, I was struck by just how similar our trajectories were as fans from the UK. We went long on the recording so this one will be a two parter. Even though the show isn't fully about professional wrestling, I wanted to share the new podcast starring myself, NJ indy worker Joey Image, and NEPA locals Irish Kev Spencer and Eric Eichhorn. The show, Time Limit Draw, debuted this past Thursday night, and it has a simple premise - basically, think Pardon the Interruption, just not about sports, but instead about anything at all. It runs every Thursday, live at 8pm, on the Growing Up Geek Podcast Network. This week, on our debut episode, we talk about a wide variety of topics - wrestling-wise, we discuss War Games, Big Josh, and the idea of pay-to-play on the indies. Outside the ring, we tackle major issues like ro…

Over the next week I've got the following guys lined up to record shows with: - Scott Hudson - Jimmy Korderas I'm always open to suggestions since I can't come close to thinking of everything. And if you've got any suggestions (or leads/referrals) for people to interview (keeping in mind what I'm trying to do stylistically, so not everyone's gonna fit), those can go here, too.

I recently committed to going back info podcasting with new Loser Leaves Town shows. The goal is sort of a AOW/WTF/Mohr Stories style conversational interview posted weekly instead of the hodge podge of formats I used to do irregularly. I have a few shows on the can and would like to put one up Monday, but I'm unsure which to start with. Right now I have these just about ready: - TJ Perkins (I think about 80 minutes) - Steve Corino (two parts, each about 60 minutes, I think I'll post them separately). - Colt Cabana (about 65 minutes) So far I'd say Corino is probably my favorite and in a vacuum I'd like to start there, but I feel a bit weird about sta…

I talk with Adam and Matt from KayfabeComedy.com about the 2000 film "Ready to Rumble" starring David Arquette, Scott Caan, Diamond Dallas Page, Goldberg, Randy Savage and other WCW wrestlers. We discuss the oddness of how WCW and wrestling are portrayed in this movie, imagine a world in which Caan had been WCW champion instead of Arquette, wonder how good Joe Pantoliano would have been as a wrestling character, speculate where plot points and wrestling characters were taken from, and appreciate the oddball performances by Oliver Platt and Martin Landau in a paycheck movie. http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkC...2658&cmd=tc ROUNDTABLE TIME! Dave moderates a discussion on the people I consider the best three U.S. born wrestlers in history Terry Funk, Jerry Lawler and Ric Flair. In Funk's corner - ME. In Flair's corner - Charles. In Lawler's corner - Will. We debate the pro's of each man's greatest of all time argument, the common complaints against them, other guys who sometimes get mentioned on their level, the most interesting feuds of each man, and what the 80's sets and other footage based projects have taught us about each man. Dave and Will have an inappropriate joke contest, Will attacks Canadians multiple times, I …
