  4. Started by Loss,

Just so everyone knows, even though the official release date is Tuesday of next week, Amazon is already shipping it. I placed an order on Saturday and I got it today. The book is definitely worth reading. I will comment more in detail after I've read the whole thing, as I just did kind of a skim. I could do without the Fozzy and life outside of wrestling stuff, but I also knew it would be here before picking up this book. I think, if anything, Jericho may have been *too* self-critical. He walks through all of his big programs and give his honest opinions on all of them, blaming himself for quite a few things not working out. He also sheds some light on his rela…

  5. Started by Strummer,

http://www.wrestlingrecall.blogspot.com/ some tidbits from the former WWE writer's blog (JohnasHimself) -the Bellas/Bryan triangle storyline was the Bellas idea and they ran with it -the word "sex" is not allowed on WWE TV so the angle will be full of innuendo -the writer pitched a similar storyline for Evan Bourne -Vince does not see Morrison as a top guy because he "can't kick anyone's ass" -Vince does not see Bryan as a badass but a wrestler who "capitalizes on other's mistakes" -Vince sees Skip Sheffield as a potential top babyface right behind Cena -he pitched Drew McIntrye as the original attacker of Undertaker -Randy Orton was…

Our friend Lars Frederiksen is back to pay homage to Jake the Snake Roberts. We'll discuss his days in the territories, his entire WWF run, the snakes and their names, memorable matches, angles and much more. Blogtalkradio dropped Lars on the first show so we recorded a Part 2. Speaking of blogtalk, Rob and I are looking for a different way to produce the show so we can avoid these audio problems in the future. Everyone have a Merry Xmas and drive safe! Part 1 http://www.blogtalkradio.com/goodhelmet/20...e-snake-roberts Part 2 http://www.blogtalkradio.com/goodhelmet/20...he-snake-part-2

  18. Yes, that's the first sentence in the foreword to Vince Russo's second autobiography Rope Opera: How WCW Killed Vince Russo, which really sets the self-congratulatory and self-pitying tone for the rest of the book. I suppose Vince's son VJ wouldn't know any better, but it says a lot about his father that this sentence made print. So this thread is here to give Russo his proper due on prowrestlingonly.com as one of the biggest carnies in the business, like Jim Ross and Triple H before him, as I go through his book and share with you his best contradictory nonsense. Feel free to chip in about stuff not covered in his latest book! Russo explaining why you have to pay …

Tonight, Naylor, Lars Frederiksen (of Rancid fame) and I did a show on the Four Horsemen. Enjoy! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/goodhelmet/20...e-four-horsemen

  25. http://www.adamcarolla.com/ACPBlog/2010/02...dy-roddy-piper/ Apparently, Piper must be trying to do stand-up comedy or some sort of variety act. He was on Adam Carolla's podcast the other day and he plugged a performance at a comedy club in California. Good stuff on the podcast. If anyone listens, was the Fuji/Tanaka/Dog head story ever confirmed?
