This was very well laid out - Claudio/Cesaro vs. a smaller high-flyer is, for like 99% of the time a winning formula, and it sure was that here. The match was mostly dominated by Double C, who grounded PAC, and every time PAC got on his feet, he threw him around - it was very enjoyable. PAC's comeback towards the end was great, he is one spectacular man inside that ring, everything he did looked so smooth & he executed the comeback perfectly. Really good match. ***1/2

WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga vs Jeff Hardy - RAW 9/3/07 Fun fact: This is the first match from the first RAW I watched at the University of Michigan my freshman year. This caused three dudes on my floor to all go "Is that Jeff Hardy? He still wrestles? Has anything changed?" This also right after the infamous App State upset (yes that was my freshman year and first game in the Big House) and this match is emanating from Ohio State. But the good news is that my boy, Jeff Hardy won the Intercontinental Championship! Liked this as a TV match. Umaga again generating hope spots for Jeff. Hitting the buckles hard letting Jeff try the ten count punches before pushing…

Danielson is pissed off & full of fire! He is not gonna do your Code of Honors and shit, he wants to get revenge on the man who destroyed his eye. Morishima had said before the match that he wouldn't target that eye of Danielson, which was the story of the match - Danielson took Morishima to the absolute limit, hitting him with his best shots & refusing to die. Morishima threw bombs at Bryan, clobbered the shit out of him, but Dragon wasn't gonna go down easy. Him getting his foot on the rope after the Backdrop Driver was the straw that broke camel's back; Morishima got pissed off about that big time & started to go after that eye of Danielson that he hurt at …
