Greg Valentine vs Sgt Slaughter - WWF 7/28/84 1984 WWF is a gift that keeps on giving with its loaded roster and seemingly endless combination of dream matches. Clocking in at 13 minutes, you really couldn't ask for much more from two all-time greats in a random house show setting with no angle behind them. Albano is great on the mic before the match. The Hammer jumps Slaughter but ends up being punched in the face with his belt. TIIIMMMMMBBBBAAAAAAHHHHH! Mid-South Tag Team Champions Midnight Express vs Fantastics - Mid-South OKC 8/9/84. You want to hear the roof come off a joint, listen to the reaction to the hot tag to Bobby Fulton! That's how you build to a hot tag, people. Cornette and Eaton take the embrace for heat one step further with Cornette giving him a peck on the cheek. Rogers/Fulton work a headlock base for their shine. The best sequence was when Condrey gets three shoulder tackles in a row, on the fourth he gets bodyslammed and then shouldertackled four times. Wanted to create a thread for this because I personally think this is not only one of the best Satanico matches but one of the best of all time. Unique and brilliantly executed story of the Local anti-hero taking on the invading foreigner. Perfectly paced and structured. Amazing brawling and selling. Clever and poetic finish + an awesome post-match. This has it all. ****5/8

This was awesome. Hot crowd super into Jumbo, and Martel bringing it. Really intense and dramatic finishing stretch - crowd was biting on nearfalls for Jumbo's suplexes and Martel's sleeper and cross-body. Was never a huge Martel fan before this, looks like I'm going to have to buy that AWA set and get deeper into him.

These two have a great chemistry. This starts out at a really incredible pace. This feels like a war. It's brutal and violent and very back and forth. The crowd is really hot for the match, and Jumbo wins quickly with a roll up. The crowd gets molten, and Hansen goes on a rampage. Too short without enough content to be called great to me, but hell this one is entertaining. Edit: Jumbo... did not win this match:)
