This was a blast. Everyone (mostly) was fired up, the exchanges were red hot, the atmosphere electric. Ueda was a peroxide turd but fortunately, he’s not in this much – I mean, he tags in only to tag in Inoki. But when Fujiwara and Maeda are in there shooting against Fujinami and Inoki, it’s fantastic. There’s a lot to love about this match but there’s also a lot going on. The aggressive jockeying between Fujiwara and Fujinami, Takada and Maeda blasting Team NJPW with kicks and suplexes everywhere. The apron drama during the elimination teases really translated well with the crowd. The double eliminations were awesome, especially Fujinami trying in vain to shake off Fujiw…

HANDHELD FOOTAGE ***SPOILER*** NWA US Champion Magnum TA defeated Nikita Koloff (w/ Ivan Koloff) via disqualification when Ivan broke the cover after Magnum hit the belly to belly suplex; after the match, the champion was double teamed, with Nikita eventually hitting the Russian Sickle and then bringing out a Russian chain until the Italian Stallion, Don Kernodle, and another wrestler came out to make the save and helped Magnum backstage

HANDHELD FOOTAGE--- This is not the same match as 4/12/86 from Charlotte that aired on Japanese TV ***SPOILER*** Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson defeated NWA Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey in a non-title match when Gibson pinned Condrey with a sunset flip after Morton prevented a double team; Jim Cornette was suspended above the ring in a cage for the duration of the match

If - or perhaps I should say WHEN - I start that Complete & Accurate Black Bart, this gets a stonewall EPIC. What a badass wee match in front of an awesome crowd; a real treat that I wasn't expecting when I flung on a random episode of what was probably Crockett's C-level TV show. I feel like I've barely seen any Black Bart, but every time I have he's great. Just a hulking big presence with an amazing grizzly bear look, super fun bumping and killer looking offence. Houston also should've wound up being a megastar, or at least a moderatestar, and he looked great here with his energy and selling.
