  1. This is my favorite Race match. In recent years, he has come under a lot of criticism (which I agree with) for often not living up to his reputation as a rugged champion. He would cut these utterly badass promos, but when the bell rung he'd just wrestle pretty much the same way as Flair By the Numbers, giving his opponent most of the match and taking these cartoony bumps. In this, he actually lives up to his hype. A few things that set this apart for me -Race is rocking an awesome beard reminiscent of Brock Lesnar. -The match is worked as more of a evenly matched contest between two of the best in the world, rather than the usual NWA de…

  2. Holy crap this was awesome. I don't think their was one wrestling hold used. It was just a bunch of punches. I was really impressed with Bull Ramos here. The 1st fall we get an early shine with Lothario and Ramos just punching everyone in sight. I enjoyed how the heels went after Ramos arm. Which as we learned on commentary he's a former golden glove champ. So the heels are trying to take away his biggest weapon. Marcus gets in and the heels just swarm him with rabbit punches into the kidney's.. He fights them off and tags out to Ramos and he's just kicking ass and finishes off the heels with a running splash. Fall 2 and they just get heat on Marcus .He's fight…

  3. Pak Song is a famous character in the history of wrestling. So I was glad to see him here. Though this was all smokes and mirrors. This was a total building of an angle. Though throughout this Tony Atlas got to highlight his athleticism.

  4. I really liked the early part of the match. Williams was working pretty stiff. Lone eagle brought the comedy. Their wasn't a real narrative though.I dug Gonzalez busting out a Gori Special. Still it was fun.

  5. 1980-05-30 NJPW Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Antonio Inoki MSG Series 1980 Match Civic Culture Center, Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan Card ★★★★ A mouth watering MSG Series matchup here and they did not disappoint. This had that big fight feel you would want and right from the off they shook hands and then Fujinami nailed Inoki with a stiff kick to the leg to set the tone. Without veering over the line Fujinami certainly was the aggressor, and Inoki had to stave him off and keep him contained. They worked at a furious pace and the intensity was reaching a 10. It wasn’t long however before Inoki upped his game to match Fujinami and put him in his place when he started ou…
