  1. This is an elimination match. I thought it started out really hot. I loved the Brody/Patera double elimination. Then it morphs into a typical tag structure. The heels get heat on the faCEs. I just didn't think the work was all that compelling. Manny who's the best worker in the match spends most of the time on the outside. Once he gets the hot tag it gets interesting again. Still for the most part this was good. 2 1/2*

  2. Their was a lot to like about this match. I thought both guys strikes looked really good. I enjoyed the early portion of Brody working the back of Patera. The brawling around ringside was great. Brody choking Paera with the chord looked nasty. I enjoyed the interferance. The viusal of a bloody Brody in the full nelson was incredible and full of drama. The heat really got hot toward the finish. I loved the first 4 or so minutes. It lost its way for a bit, but really got the crowd into it at the end. 2 3/4*

  3. This has one of the campiest entrances ever with Daddy sporting a Union Jack waistcoat along with a sparkly cape and helmet, pushing a young girl in a wheelchair, kissing grannies and being followed by a bunch of kids like he is the Pied Piper, all to the sounds of 'We Shall Not Be Moved'. Berry is from Australia, and every bit as bad as Banger Walsh who can't even throw a decent looking elbow drop. Daddy appears to operate by his own rules, coming in to the ring whenever he wants and not getting admonished one bit by the referee. I actually found this match funny in places but I don't think that's the effect you're meant to have, whilst it's tough to get into the heat…

  4. Slater early on shows some athleticism escaping from a wristlock. I really like Bobby shielding the ref from his punches. Duncum using his size to control the match. Solid punch exchange with Bobby on top. Back to the headlock for Bobby. It's been all Duncum. This 1st fall has pretty basic stuff with Duncum in control. Slater with a cheap shot to the leg. Slater is working the leg. Slater gets Duncum's boot off and submit's him with a spinning toe hold. 2nd fall and Slater is back after the leg. Duncum is selling it for all its worth. Bobby steals the 2nd fall with a lariat. 3rd fall In between falls Bobby hits Slater with his boot. Bobby is attacking before the b…

  5. Fun shine to start. Manny is such an in your face worker. The babyfaces are working the arm. Robley tags in only for Tiger to own him. Manny rocking Robley's arm. Tiger is after it as well. The heels turn the tide and the heavy hitter is in. Patton is using his size to put Manny down. Tank uses his weight and size to his advantage. Robley is good as the cheap shot artist role. I always love to see the crowd reaction when a ref overturns the tag. Finally, Tiger gets the hot tag and the crowd is hot. Tiger is busted up, and the heels are working the cut. I really liked the shine. I liked the blood. I enjoyed Robley during the heat, but Patton was pretty average while gettin…

  6. We get 2 refs for this match. On paper this looks like a pretty hot match. Manny and Gino start. Gino eats a couple of arm drags. I love Boesch explaining how Gino is a master of using the ropes to escape. This all Manny early. Tag to Mil, and Gino tags in Tully. The pace gets more deliberate, but the Duo is still shining up the faces. Gino is avoiding Mil , finally they lock up. The heels trick Mil, and start getting heat, and Gino is celebrating like he's a member of the NE Patriots. Mil gets the hot tag to Manny. Manny is on fire. A double team sets up another heat segment. The heels work over Manny. A belly to belly sets up the hot tag. The Duo steal the match by pinn…

  7. It's a wild brawl to start. It settles down, and we get a nice shine sequence. Tully cuts off Tiger and the heels start to get heat. Tiger is a good FIP. Tank using his weight by leaning on Tiger is really smart. Robley in with a nasty right. Casey gets the hot tag. Now the ring fills up. Order is maintained. Tully ping ponging for Duncum. All the faces getting a piece of Tully. It's a battle of hosses with Duncum and Patton. Robley working over Duncum. This is kind of like a AWA tag structure. This is the 2nd heat segment. The crowd is with Duncum. Casey in, and the ring fills up. Casey scores the win. This was a good solid tag. 3 1/4*

  8. IIRC Tiger Toguchi was threated like a total geek in All Japan, so this could've easily been a 3 minute squash. Rusher Kimura and Animal Hamaguchi get on the mic before the match to taunt Inoki. Inoki seemed off focus and Toguchi immediately starts pounding on him. Toguchi has really good looking basic offense, nasty looking punches with great snap, kneedrops, elbows to the kidney etc. Once again Inoki looked like the baddest dude on the planet when he made his initial comeback throwing punches and slaps and blocking Toguchi's attack. Toguchi makes a few more comebacks by throwing cheapshots including pounding Inoki on the ground with punches and hitting him in the throat…

  9. Loving Conway Jr. dancing to another one bites the dust, and refers to the faces as the Soul Patrol. Tully pinballing early for the faces. We get some great stooging from the heels. JYD is in and is dominating Gino and Tully. Gino working over JYD. Tully now is working over the Dog. Tiger in and beating on the Duo. I love the boxing spots. Gino is tremendous showing ass. They finally cut off Tiger. He's FIP now and the Duo is in an out with tags. Big drop kick by Gino. Tiger taking a beating. Tully's turn to wear Tiger down. A hot tag the refs don't see. The crowd is pissed. Bock is out and pulls JYD off the apron. Crowd is really pissed. Tully with a piledriver. JYD is bl…

  10. This was a pretty great match and their styles matched perfectly. Very solid matwork approach since the start, of course Rocco was the one to take over and his armwork on Adams was commendable. This also led to a leg injury for Adams but, as much as the psychology was quite cool, he stopped selling the arm on his comeback and that was a shame. As usual, Rocco bumped big time to make his opponent look like a million bucks, taking a nasty looking turnbuckle hit as well. Not a big fan of the knockout finish, but at least it made sense, as Adams damaged his neck too and was too banged to get up on time. A great match that could have been a classic ***3/4

  11. Man what a great way to kick off the set. I loved Colon working the ear to start. Problem though I was selling watching more than Abby. Though I give Abby some room to wiggle since for some reason I feel he's not human . I also really liked Colon's fire here. Now the crowd was insane and how they got closer and closer. A fight broke out in the crowd. Loved Abby's screams. A good double juice brawl. 3 1/2*
