Occasionally I find a match on rutube, that doesn't seem to be online anywhere else. I can never figure out how to download from rutube and then convert the file from FLV to MP4. Can someone please convert this match for me and then send me a link or send me the file if possible? Thanks https://rutube.ru/video/dba482984967fd16ace5ec008a42e8f8/

I have recently been watching some older Japan stuff and watched Dynamite and Kern in a tag in NJPW in 1980 that I'd not had the chance to see before and it made me wonder about Dynamite's 1 tour with IWE as all of Dynamite's work I've seen, I have not ever seen any footage of him in IWE. Has anyone ever seen footage or even photos of him there?

A lot of people seem to have this fixated idea of what wrestling is and think there is only one right way to do it. That's pretty boring. Due to wrestling's peculiar nature I have often wondered how far the medium could and will go, not so much in the "genres" it will creat in itself but means to express itself. Wrestling is a simulation of a fight. That's a very broad definition. An action movie scene is also a simulation of a fight. We've kind of seen some wrestling TV shows experiment with it (Lucha Underground most famously, maybe Wrestling Society X as well?) but I wouldn't be quick to write off expressing wrestling through unconventional means while still calling it…

Most people are familiar with the 7/27/78, 11/30/79 and 12/6/79 matches, but all of their other matches are available. But has anyone seen the other matches that these two had? It's kinda strange that before the 78 match, there was a previous one hour match on June 1st, why does no one talk about this one? What about the 12/14/78 and 8/22/80 matches? Has anyone seen these? I just watched the 4/16/80 Miami match last week, it was ok...

I'm sorry everyone: 32 Second Mark: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/video/wrestling-match-between-jack-bence-and-nick-kozak-turns-news-footage/594658907 I was just looking for Nick Kozak footage. I swear. (The finish of that match looks awesome by the way) This is something else, but it's got such a cool finish too: http://media.gettyimages.com/videos/wrestling-days-are-here-again-two-wrestlers-in-the-rings-one-man-pins-video-id594666469

I suppose I could have titled this "What If Magnum T.A. never wrecked his car" but those threads got a little crazy and I don't want to be responsible for bringing them back! But let's suppose for a minute that Magnum never crashes that night. Where does his career go from there? Does he stay with Crockett and become NWA Champion? Does he eventually end up in New York? Does it change the fate of JCP? Does Nikita ever turn? How does it affect Luger and Sting getting the babyface pushes they got in his absence? Any other scenario's?

Hello all, I read about this show in the Observer rewind over on Reddit and I had no recollection of it. I have never seen any discussion about it and looked around online but couldn't find it for sale on any of the usual sites I've seen have these shows(although some had the 2000 memorial show). So has anyone here seen this 1996 show or was it even released commercially or on handheld? Love to hear more about it. Match Card https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=58122&page=2

From the recap on PWPodcasts.com: "Bruce mentions that Hogan did not want to work with Dustin Rhodes in the early ’90s. He says Hogan didn’t think he was in the greatest of shape at the time nor did he have high-profile status. Conrad calls BS on this and says Hogan was threatened by Dustin’s youth and family legacy." This immediately stuck me as strange. WHEN would this have happened? (Dustin's brief WWF stint? Dustin's WCW stunt? Goldust era?) WHY would it have happened? Assuming they're not referring to Dustin's stint as Goldust (was Hogan even still around then?), what purpose would such a match/feud serve when both were white meat babyfaces? I'm g…

Growing up in the maritimes I was quite familiar with Rotten Ron Starr. I loved his series of matches against Stephen Petitpas & am delighted there was a resurgence in his work from fans.

This has some potential to be an interesting thread. Pick any two guys who were around at the same time who you don't recall having a match and ask "did they ever face each other?" You can answer the question yourself if you like, this mainly out of interest. I started thinking about this with the talk of the recent roundtable on Warrior (which I've still not seen): did Ted DiBiase and Sgt. Slaughter ever have a match? When and where? Well, sure enough, first hit on Google: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xy3sbi_sgt-slaughter-vs-ted-dibiase-st-louis-1977_sport A match from 1977 in St. Louis. Looks clipped to hell and no audio, but firey babyface Ted goes over after t…

Hello all, I had a question for some of the knowledgeable Japan folks on this board. In a recent upload by Roy Lucier of some NJPW TV from 1990 and I saw a rematch with Stan Hansen vs Big Van Vader for the IWGP title. Now I was obviously familiar with the famous Dome match they had but am in the dark about why Stan was allowed to work for NJPW outside of the co-promoted Tokyo dome show? His cagematch page says he worked 5 NJPW outside the Dome show in 1990, https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=440&page=4&year=1990&promotion=7 So what was the deal here? I thought after 1989/1990 Baba was sticking with the isolationist mindset so I am surprised I haven…

Hi, folks. There was a match that I think was a title change where the heel hit the baby with a handful of quarters, and our beloved David Crockett was screaming "Tommy!!!!!!!!!!! He used quarters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I've googled the hell out of this and can't find it. Anyone know offhand? Thanks. Brian

I ask because it has been something I've been thinking about on a broader scale recently. I'm 37 years old. If you talked to me at 25, 30, 35 and now, asking any questions you liked you would get different answers. I know this for a fact. The interesting part to me is that the gaps between the answers get closer to one another as I get older. My feeling is that my tastes in wrestling have changed in a very similar manner. I don't think it's ever going to stop. I do, however, know that my opinions will continue to change. To the point where I could go back and read something I wrote this year about a match and wonder what I was thinking about it if I dug it up a…

Loving these "What If" threads. I figured I'd toss out a pretty major Japanese option: What if Tatsumi Fujinami left New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1984? Here's some background from Meltzer's 1996 G1 Climax/History of New Japan WON. Can New Japan survive? Does Fujinami become the undisputed GOAT by going to UWF and having singles rivalries with Fujiwara, Maeda, Sayama etc? If he picks All Japan do you put him in a group with Choshu or do you keep the rivalry going? How in the hell can New Japan survive?

What does the crowd in New Orleans do that night? Hijack the whole show or just Orton/Batista? Is it a public relations nightmare? Does the end of the streak get the same reaction? Does Vince even book the end of the streak because there's no storybook feel good ending with Bryan that night? Would Bryan eventually get the belt or do they just go from .Batista to Brock to build up Roman? If Punk stays and goes over Hunter does it help him long run or does he stay at the same level and ease into a mechanic role while Roman is on top?

I wanted to throw my scenario into the mix as this is one I have always enjoyed thinking about. The Black Scorpion (supposed to be Al Perez) "debuts" in August. Now Sting does defeat The Scorpion (Perez) in September at the Clash. Rude leaves the WWF in October... Around October, Rude is defeating the Scorpion (Bill Irwin) For most of November, the Scorpion is losing to Brian Pillman and Tom Zenk... so during this time is the real negotiation to get Rude to come in. Starrcade is December 16th... this could be Rude's debut as the Scorpion... now you have a couple of different routes... 1. Does he join up with the Horsemen in Sid Vicious spot? 2.…

I've been watching back some episodes from the relaunch of (WWE)ECW and remembered this being talked about and maybe even some clips being shown(possibly photos my memory is hazy) but wondered if anyone has a fan cam or handheld of it or seen any of the matches? Also if anyone was there that'd be cool to hear as well It's really a shame WWE didn't shoot this as it would've been a cool event to have on tape which if this was today with the WWE network then I'd reckon they would have.

No point in discussing who the best one is since it's obviously Tenryu But I thought I'd make for a fun topic. There's also Taue obviously, as well as Rikioh and Wajima, Akebono (duh) and a few others I'm probably forgetting.
