In the past few weeks, I have taken notice of BigBadMick, BenjaminKicks saying they are going through the 1990's in All Japan. Parv has his Excite Series run through with Steven who himself hasn't seen these matches in many years. Dawho5 did a great thread last year chronicling his journey through the 1990's but now he is going back with more focus. I say all of this to claim that now is a great time to have a definitive guide of All Japan in the 1990's. I think All Japan for most was a "promised land" when first getting into tape trading and I know I dug in with as much fever as I could in 2001 chronicling the 1990's. In recent years, I have just watched select match…

He was actually a good big wrestler but was saddled with possibly the worst gimmick of the New Generation.

So I'm guessing Rush was noticing what was really moving tickets per the WO update: Rush took to Facebook Saturday to announce he and his father, Bestia del Ring, have quit Mexico's AAA promotion for a second time and are now "totally independent." He and LA Park were scheduled to take on Sam Adonis and Psycho Clown at July's Triplemania in Tijuana where the losing team would wrestle against each other in a mask vs. hair match at August's Triplemania in Mexico City. Mexican wrestling expert and writer Luchablog noted on Twitter that while the main event of AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Kenny Omega is big for those outside of Mexico…

Anybody play any wrestling board games? This one seems intriguing: http://plaay.com/facetothemat.html When I was a kid, I had some type of WWF board game, but I don't remember much about it. The wife and I have recently gotten into playing Pandemic and Carcassonne. Don't think she'd go for a wrestling game, but the one above seems like it'd be a fun solo game.

As the title of the topic suggests, I'm attempting to compile a master-list of surviving professional wrestling footage from before the year 1970. However, I won't be covering everything from that era, there'll be no newsreels, filmreels or short highlights of any kind, only substantial footage. I will include certain stuff that's joined-in-progress as long as it's more than just the finish to a match or segment and I'll be adding links where I can so that what I find can be viewed by those interested. I'll be placing all updates here in the first post in geographical order so it's easier for everyone to locate them but I'll also leave a reply at the bottom of the topic t…

WCW'S "The Gambler" Jeff Gann IS NOT DEAD! Shame on you PWinsider, and all you copy paste reporters! Improperly reporting on a death is the ultimate mistake of any reporter! Disgusting lazy journalism! https://youtu.be/NTIDzeiaIHo

Not a joke, maybe some of you have gotten the letter in the mail, if not be on the lookout. Pro Wrestling Tees had a cyber attack that leaked buyers information. I cover it all on my show, including official letter regarding the lawsuit and the steps needed to get paid.

We knew it was coming, but still sad news. Superstar Billy Graham influenced so many who came after him, from Hulk Hogan to Scott Steiner and more.

If you're anything like me, the AJPW single title scene prior to the Triple Crown is kind of a blur and I've been trying to get it clear in my head. Here's a little table I made to help see who held which title when at a glance. Now some notes: The International Title prior to 1981 wasn't actually in the company but was largely defended in South Korea by Ohki. This belt had tremendous prestige because it was the title for which Rikidōzan had defeated Lou Thesz in 1958. So the story goes, the NWA International Title was used by Thesz as an excuse to go skiing in Europe. He'd drop the NWA title before leaving, then defend the Internation…

I feel like there's probably a few of us here who remember Kid Zombie from the old CrazyMax tape trading site and various West Coast indies, and his brother announced on Facebook the other day that he passed away. He was a big part of getting me (and a lot of others) access to wrestling in that era where DVDs became the media of choice.

Cuartero, one third of the New Generation Dinamitas (who are also AAA trios champs), was arrested after the show on Friday on DV related charges against CMLL wrestler Stephanie Vaquer. From thecubsfan's post on the incident: The incident took place on Thursday and began with a discussion between Vaquero & Cuatrero over who Cuatrero was sending messages to on his phone. It escalated, and Vaquer claims Cuatrero grabbed her by the neck and threw Vaquer into the wall, where a painting also fell off the wall and onto her. (The police report includes photos of bruises on Vaquer’s neck.) Vaquer says she ran to her bedroom, locked the door, and called the police. C…

Both CMLL and AAA have announced on their social medias the passing of Black Warrior, who was Blue Panther's nephew. His mask loss to Mistico was what solidified Mistico's big main event push and made him a megastar.

Hey y'all, surprised this hasn't been discussed yet. There's a show on Peacock called Dangerous Breed that is all about Teddy Hart and his connection with a missing young woman named Samantha Fiddle. The story is way more interesting than the show, which I would say is basic cable-level true crime, sub-Dateline stuff. The documentary filmmaker who was filming Teddy over the past 10 years and is basically narrating the story is a bit annoying and needlessly inserts himself into the story (when I think a more straightforward Dateline-esque style would be better) and it does seem like this is one of those shows (like the new Pepsi documentary on Netflix) that cou…

Ballots for this year have been issued. The big change for this year is a massive influx of tag teams on the ballot for the first time due to the rule against multiple inductions being dropped. As a result, voters this year will be able to vote for up to 18 candidates, of which a maximum of 8 can come from the historical category and 5 from the other categories. Discuss. The following candidates will be dropped from next year's ballot unless they are elected in or garner 50% of the vote: Sgt. Slaughter Enrique Torres Rocky Johnson I FOLLOWED THE HISTORICAL PERFORMERS ERA CANDIDATES Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura Ole Anderson Bob Armstrong …
