Great third fall and all, but with Harper and Rowan losing again, where do they go from here with the WWE tag titles? Assuming they do still care about the tag division. The Usos really have no other opponents (Dust Brothers are unfocused, Rybaxel aren't championship material...what other tag teams exist?), but why keep on giving Harper and Rowan monthly title shots when they keep losing in the title match? Are they just going to put them in another gimmick match at SummerSlam? With Bray losing to Jericho as well, doesn't the Wyatt family lose a ton of credibility with all these losses in a row? Does logical booking even factor in anymore? Is everything random? Why are we…

Kickoff Match: Cameron vs. Naomi Intercontinental Title Battle Royal: Cesaro Harper & Rowan vs. Usos AJ Lee vs. Paige Jack Swagger vs. Rusev Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kane I predict this will be a good wrestling card with bad booking.

I just wanted to start a thread about this. I see from Google that it looks like episode 100 was on 9/24/04, so I'm guessing this started around 2002. Is that correct? What kind of stuff was featured here that might be hard to find elsewhere? What stands out about this show to anyone who watched it? I'm interested in learning more, so feel free to discuss whatever you want about it in this thread.

Hey yo....I'm up to the end of August 1997 Nitros and for the life of me, I can't figure out when Scott Hall starts doing these surveys. Does anybody have a clue on when he starts doing these? It's not a big deal, but it's bugging me because I'm always expecting to see him do the survey and it never comes, so I'm just wondering if anybody knows when I should start to expect them. Is it in September? October? November? Much appreciated.

In 1993, the Four Horsemen reunited - though, they weren't the original Four Horsemen and, based on the limited footage I've seen, aside from being there for the actual "reunion," Ole Anderson wasn't really around too much (though, his voice would make a legendary appearance at August's Clash of the Champions). The Horsemen then were Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, and the newest recruit to the legendary stable, "Pretty" Paul Roma. As most of you know, Roma's run with the Horsemen was far from a success with many citing him as the worst Horseman of all time. Whether or not that is true may be its own discussion, but let's at least agree that WCW might have mad…

I'm having trouble finding this online. Can anyone point me to where I can find info on what titles existed and a history of title changes in UWF 1.0, UWF 2.0, PWFG, RINGS and UWFI? Thanks.

So, for our next podcast, we're doing a court case format, where we have a judge, a prosecution and a defense, doing a point-counterpoint on Triple H. The charge is that his political maneouverings as a wrestler and his insistence on being pushed so strong has been more of a detriment than a benefit to the wrestling business. That's the key point, and whether the point is provable is what I find interesting about this - finding the major moments where his influence was a tangible negative on the product and the business over the course of his run. The defense is going to argue that he's been more of an asset than a liability, and that his stroke and influence has work…

Along the lines of some other threads. The fates of Punk and Bryan this year have reinforced that Cena is still the WWE's most viable and reliable guy. Every "next top guy" that has come along during Cena's time on top hasn't worked out. There have been injuries, personal issues, politics; guys have quit and been fired. But, in 2014, John Cena keeps on trucking. If Cena hadn't saved his job with the rap gimmick, who would've been their ace going forward? Is there anyone who would still be on top now like Cena is? Once Brock, Angle, Eddie, and Benoit are dismissed for obvious reasons, there's Orton. He was very immature and probably wouldn't even be with the c…

Main questions here are what year is a good year to jump into if I wanted to with Memphis television? Is picking up when the USWA starts a good place or will I be missing out on some good years of television if I do that?

It was in the WON this week that they are starting a slow transition to Cena as 1-A and that Roman Reigns is about to become the #1 guy. No one knows until these things play out, but my gut tells me Cena still has some huge years in him, even though the fan backlash against him is at an all-time high right now. That said, he's also getting older and his body is breaking down, so prepping someone else to eventually take over that spot is a good idea. Reigns still hasn't been tested in a long singles match, so I think grooming him for that spot seems premature. He's going to need an assembly line of strong heels that WWE doesn't seem to have at the moment. I'm also not …

...In your opinion as a fan? These could be incidental and unplanned (hardway) or a planned part of the match (blade job) that has maybe gone too far, or perhaps just right, within the context of the match. The one that will always stick out for me, and one that made me feel legitimately queasy, was Eddie Guerrero's blading botch (he cut way too fucking deep) following that ridiculous chairshot by JBL at Judgement Day 2004.

Yeah, the other one. Matches that leave you shaking your head at the stubborn-mindedness/rampant egotism/lack of self awareness in thinking they can keep a match interesting for that long. Should we just disqualify HHH here to move onto other examples?

Couple late 80's - 1990 AJPW Questions: 1. If Tenryu doesnt jump ship in late '89, does Misawa take the mask off and get the Mega push that started a few months later? If not, how long till they pull the trigger or does Tenryu get it, with Misawa behind him, and Kawada left behind and instead its Tenryu - Misawa feud? 2. Misawa got hurt in early 89, misses most of the year, then comes back and unmasks and the crowd knows its him...Did they already know who was under that mask and the unmasking was more of a "OK, we know you are great and its time to shine" moment? 3. What are some must see Tiger Mask II mathes from Misawa's 1980's run under the mask? Did …

For all the love NXT gets, the debut of Adam Rose and pending debut of Bo Dallas made me wonder if NXT is really preparing guys for the main roster. In terms of in-ring they seem to be doing a solid job, but it seems like they do a better job of creating gimmicks to get over with the NXT crowd instead of the WWE one. With the notable exception of the Wyatts, everyone so far called up with their NXT gimmick seems to have not gotten over in the big leagues. WWE already seems to see Adam Rose as a flop after only 2 weeks, and as great as the promos have been for Bo Dallas, I see him being the next guy to get a start-and-stop push before being condemned to midcard hell.

Before recording the second part of the GCW show last night, it occurred to me that Ted DiBiase during his career could lay claim to being part of at least SEVEN legit great angles, some of which are in the "all-time" caliber, and all of which would likely make a "Top 50 wrestling angles" list. Remember: an angle is not a storyline or a feud, it's a specific plot point in a storyline or feud. My aim in this thread is not such much to really ascertain "who had the most", but rather listing out the process by which we'll get there. Hopefully, by the end we should have a very full listing of all-time great angles and a good idea of who has been involved in them over …

So, we're taping another podcast on Wednesday, and the topic of discussion is on who the best big man in the history of the business is, and would like some feedback and suggestions from you guys to read on the show (and I'll credit you as always). I think it's an interesting topic, and the ambiguity of what constitutes a "big man" is an issue in some ways, but part of the show will be justifying our own choices in the roundtable discussion and debating the others that get suggested, so that's part and parcel of it. And hell, even what qualifies somebody as the best is subjective and an interesting part of the discussion - a guy who was agile and an amazing work…

Listening to the WWBBP on SuperBrawl 1 and Clash 15 reminded me how frustrating it is when matches are rushed. To me, it's worse than a bad match that cannot be saved irrespective of time allotment - all that glorious potential going to waste. Anyway, what are the most glaring examples of 'Come on! Give that another 5-10 minutes and you've a classic!' you've experienced?

Since Breaks only got 16% of the vote in the WON HOF voting, I thought I'd put together a rough as guts Gordy List for him. I didn't put a ton of research into this, but I thought we could use it as a starting point for the one or two Jim Breaks fans on this board. 1. Was he ever regarded as the best draw in the world? Was he ever regarded as the best draw in his country or his promotion? No, he was never regarded as the best draw in the world or in his country. As with most wrestling promotions, lightweight wrestlers were never put in a position to draw. 2. Was he an international draw, national draw and/or regional draw? It's next to impossible to ge…

The recent discussion of Santos being undoubtedly the biggest Mexican wrestling star led me to question why Mil Mascaras had that spot for so many years in my mind. Then listening to an old podcast, someone mentioned in passing that few workers benefitted so much as being pushed by the Apter mags as Mil Mascaras. Tommy Rich was also mentioned. The one guy I think about in the Apter mags is Abdullah the Butcher who would seemingly almost always have a big spread of grusome and bloody looking photos in PWI from some promotion I couldn't ever dream of seeing. So who did the Apter mags push big? Whose rep was boosted massively by Apter and co?

So, I'm taping another podcast later this week, and the subject for discussion is looking at the wrestling landscape in 1994, and the good, bad and ugly elements that comprised it, a fun way to do a year in review, and I figure this will be especially good here with the yearbooks breaking down different stuff. The idea being that out of everything that happened on a worldwide basis in this year, what ONE thing epitomises each for you personally (if you had to choose a match, promo, angle, feud, theme or company that summed each up), and why? For example, if we were talking 93, we could say: The Good - Kobashi Vs. Hansen matches The Bad - Hogan plunger raping …

I have been thinking about this all day today and still cannot come up with what good turning Bray Wyatt completely face would do...it woudl take away what makes him special...so how could you do it and keep his aura going? If he becomes face and a "sheep", his whole personality is gone... Anyone know how he could be as good as a face?

Just wondering about this the other day. I haven't converted tapes to DVD, but still find myself reluctant to hook up the old videorecorder to play them. It's a shame, I've contented myself with dvds I've acquired since 2001/2002 instead. I'm not talking about bootlegging here, just wondering if anyone still watches wrestling videos?

I started thinking about this yesterday. Survivor Series has provided plenty of solid shows over the years, but were any of the Survivors elimination tags really must-see, or just great for only happening once a year and the fresh matches it provided? Even if you think think the answer to the title question is 'no', what are the best Survivors matches?
