The 10s have to be the most consistent decade for WWE in-ring work ever, right? So among other things, one of WWE's rumored responses to AEW is to put more focus on the tag team divison since AEW made it clear that it will be one of their main points of emphasis. Like a lot of Vince/WWE ideas, it's one of those things that sound good on paper but will fizzle out at best, or at worst turn into some monstrosity no one wanted for one simple reason: Vince has never been a fan of tag teams. Hey fellas. Carnaval's closing in. There's an interesting talking point going on lately: some people on Twitter complained about Becky's tweets directed at Asuka, and how they really don't come off as cool or as smart when in comparison to her Twitter beef against the likes of Charlotte and Ronda. While I get the appeal, it never did strike me as an enjoyable thing. Her "burns" were try-hard stuff, but if she's getting a reaction and a possible main event spot at Wrestlemania, more power to her. Mission accomplished. However, do you guys believe there's a chance that notoriously fickle audiences stop caring? Or even worse, boo her?

I haven't looked forward to many non-NXT, non-Evolution WWE shows this year, nor have I watched many since Mania, but there are about five matches on this card that I'm interested in. The problem is there are another seven matches and this could be another slog, but it may not be too bad. Weird time for WWE with Raw being in the toilet but Smackdown having some buzz around Lynch and Bryan. It's been a pretty schizophrenic year for WWE in general with some major highs and major lows, and I really dont know what to expect anymore. That said, I'm going to drink some beers, watch this on the couch, and perhaps reflect on this crazy year for pro wrestling that felt like it hit…
