Do you side with WWE or the fans on this subject? Personally, I don't side with either side. WWE is out of touch and fans shouldn't act like idiots.

I fucking love Rusev Oh, and WWE is teasing "a major star" is returning tonight. Cena tweeted a picture from a gym in Tampa, but they are in Rock's turf so I guess it could be him to hype his Mania involvement.

Seems like this issue is ripe for a topic, so lets recap: WWE splits up Lana and Rusev and pairs them off with someone neither has chemistry with. People immediately start the "lol WWE must be trying to split up a real couple" half-jokes that always come up when a real life couple is broken up on TV. Lana breaks her arm and is off TV for a while, during said absence TMZ (who is one of WWE's approved outlets to get first dibs on their stories they want to go mainstream) posts Lana and Rusev's engagement photos. I guess that could be explained by a news agency breaking a story, but TMZ is famous for sitting on stories that would hurt people/companies they work with.…

WWE relying on Jericho to go the distance in the Rumble and give Styles a good match in his Raw debut shows that they really need a younger workhorse type to take on that role. It's just not a role for a 45-year-old. You need someone ideally who won't look odd working with big or small guys and who isn't going to threaten the main event picture, but is still protected to a lesser extent and can work with anyone in any spot on the card. You need someone who's over enough that they'll have reasonably heated matches. You also need someone who is great at carrying guys and making them look like a million bucks -- not just doing the job, but putting them over in a way where th…

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x31opue Yeah, this is fucking awesome on so many levels. Not only is it fucking great, but from a marketing perspective it's genius. A wonderful show for kids that features the people that are supposed to be the future stars? That's fucking brilliant. More importantly it's a really well done and charming wrestling show. And Graves is apparently actually going to be one of the greats in announcing based on this performance.

We've had our go home RAW and Smackdown so I guess it's about time for a proper thread. The card as we know it: - Darren Young/Damien Sandow vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension vs. Mark Henry/Jack Swagger (Royal Rumble qualification) - The Usos vs. New Day © (tag team titles) - Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio © (United States championship) - Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose © Last Man Standing match (Intercontinental championship) - Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte © (Divas champioinship) - The Royal Rumble (WWE World Heavyweight championship)

  7. I can't bring myself to watch the TV, because when I tried the booking was shit. The pvs have some good matches, but the booking is awful. Nobody is that over. The WWE is not holding any interest for me right now, but where does it rank in the history of the WWE/F? Clearly 1999 was worse, but there has to be worse periods as well.

Just humor me. I'm curious how this one will go. It's anonymous so don't worry about Johnny Sorrow coming after you or anything. I think it primarily came from Powerslam, sourced from a former WWE writer. “I remember being nervous the first time I delivered the script to the McMahon dressing room where HHH would dress (he would never use the locker rooms with the rest of the boys). When HHH answered I told him the RAW script was ready for his review. On the first occasion, he grabbed the script, flipped through it but did not read it, and asked me point-blank: ‘Am I f***ing going over?’ This first time that I delivered the script to him, he did indeed win his matc…

Meltz says that Jericho is set to return tonight on Raw and from the sound of it he will be a regular going forward. Can't say I'm excited about that at all. Main event should kick off the big angle that will lead to the Rumble title match. I'll say Hunter returns to set up him v Reigns at the PPV

  13. So former WWE writer Kevin Eck posted the following on his Baltimore Sun blog (I think). The part in bold is what I'm wondering if people believe: I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by the questionable booking. During my time on the WWE creative team, we actually were told that there really are no babyfaces or heels in the Divas division. It was strongly implied that the Divas are all just a bunch of catty chicks, most of whom are mentally unstable. A perfect example of that philosophy was the booking of the program between AJ and Paige last year. Instead of establishing a babyface and a heel, both characters acted heelish, Their "frenemies" angle was more confusing…

They don't have anyone anywhere near in a position to get over by beating Undertaker, and they don't really have time to get anyone to that point either. That's why, sadly, Cena is the only guy that makes sense as an opponent to me.

  15. Bought 2 tickets, 1 General admission standing room and another front row, ringside seat 5. paid 39.50 for first from ticket site and 236.50 for ringside on stubhub. Having a bit of buyer's remorse. I'd be open to selling them to break even if anyone is interested. If not, maybe I'll see you there.

Stephanie screaching and screaming for 15 minutes to open the show. Reigns was over but I wouldn't say it was off the charts or anything. Of course Steph sold no fear for him. If it was any other character it would be a set up to be taken out or humiliated but obviously not happening. Neville wins breakout star

  21. So there's a pretty big article here with the gist being that the NFL's head doctor in regards to concussions is also the guy who led the charge denying the evidence about CTE. What kind of flies under the radar is that Joseph Maroon, who besides being the go to WWE doctor is also the Pittsburgh Steelers' doctor, is also another of the main evidence deniers who are getting the side eye from people who doubt the NFL is taking the issue as anything more than PR spin. So knowing how WWE is so lawsuit leery (and rightfully so), it seems kind of odd they'd be attached to a doctor who was on the wrong side of history in regards to CTE.

  23. Okay, this obviously isn't the WON Awards, but it's a bit of harmless fun and possibly good insight into how the WWE thinks, so don't be shy - post your ballots! My picks are in bold with reasons listed below each category. Superstar of the Year Every Superstar on the roster is eligible (per WWE.com). Seth Rollins - Like him or hate him, he made the biggest impact. WWE stayed the course with his push and booking, until injuries forced them to go in a different direction. Diva of the Year Nikki Bella Naomi Paige Sasha Banks Charlotte - I don't give a fuck that NXT "doesn't count" and I also don't care that Nikki Bella broke the record just so AJ Lee…

OK, on paper, this is a total crap shoot match quality wise. In terms of booking, I have lost the will to care. However, I have gone in expecting nothing before and been pleasantly surprised. Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns (TLC Match) (World Title Match) - They should just shit or get off the pot. Either make Roman Reigns the man or move on to the next lovable loser. I anticipate a Sheamus win but that would suck. Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose (IC Title Match) - I thought the Survivor Series match was fine but nothing special. Could be a good match or nothing special. It doesn't matter who wins. New Day vs. Usos vs. Lucha Dragons (Ladder Match) (Tag Titles) - T…
