  1. Yeah, I am kind of hoping some of that stuff makes it onto Netflix as well. Like the old ECW stuff, a lot of the documentaries they have done, and other vintage footage.
  2. So I logged into my Netflix account today, and discovered that not only will Raw be available on Netflix every Monday as of this coming Monday, but Smackdown and NXT will be as well, on their respective nights. And the catalog of back episodes will be getting uploaded as well. On top of that, they have already uploaded all of the major WWE PPV/PLE’s, and those events will also be showing live as part of the Netflix deal as well. To American fans, this might not seem like news or any kind of big deal at all…but for Canadian fans this is going to be huge, for the simple reason that we don’t get the Peacock streaming service here. Since WWE stopped operating the WWE Network in the United States and moved over to Peacock, Canadian (and a lot of other international) fans have been getting the shaft. There has been an international version of the WWE Network available, but through my cable provider, it is $15.00 a month. And they don’t have a lot of the back catalogue available. The only real reason to order that version of the Network previous to this was to see the PLE’s…or else you have to buy them via traditional PPV. (Or you know, through other…less than legal means.) The alternative is that you could sign up for Sportsnet+, which is the App from the television network that showed Raw, Smackdown and NXT in Canada, but that is even more expensive, and from what I understand it is glitchy as hell. It’s $20 a month for the Sportsnet+ App, and then extra money on top of that to access their version of the WWE Network and archive. Now (for Canadian fans at least) it’s going to be all under one roof, easy to access, and it’s on a service that I was already paying for because I use Netflix all the time anyways. I stopped paying for WWE content years ago because I just didn’t want my dollars going into Vince McMahon‘s pockets. Once he was officially out of the picture (the second time) and TKO became the parent company, I didn’t have as many qualms about it (how could I, since I pay for UFC stuff all the time) but it was a pain in the butt watching WWE TV on Sportsnet and figuring out a way to see the PLE’s. I wasn’t sure how the Netflix deal was going to work out for Canadian fans, but based on what I have seen so far, it’s going to be extremely convenient, actually save me money, and it’s going to be a big win.
  3. I saw that. After all this time, AEW fans can finally watch Collision live on TV in Canada, on a basic cable channel, without having to pay extra or deal with the ridiculous TSN+ app. Shame it’s about a year-and-a-half too late.
  4. I’m still trying to wrap my head around them using “I’m So Excited” by The Pointer Sisters as the Dynamite theme song. That song was super cringe when it came out…in 1982. That was one of the lamest things I have ever seen. I honestly thought it was a joke or something. Good Lord.
  5. I read the recap of the allegations from The Athletic article. Some pretty rough stuff in there, definitely inappropriate workplace behaviour. They clearly don’t do workplace sexual harassment sensitivity training at ESPN. Nothing as bad as the Vince allegations, but that’s not really saying much because nothing is as bad as the Vince allegations. I liked how one of the women combated Fitting’s behaviour by openly taking notes when he was being inappropriate, and when he asked her what she was doing, she responded by saying it was all going in her book. I couldn’t help but shake my head at one of the allegations though. There is all this horrible sexual harassment and objectification of women in the article, and then it ends off with: “Another woman was told not to laugh on the air, because her laugh was annoying.” Really? All this horrible shit is in there, and that makes the list?
  6. That Bronson Reed splash off the top of the cage through the table was crazy too.
  7. I really hope this match gives Bronson Reed and especially Jacob Fatu a chance to shine.
  8. I love how WWE worked the Canadian flag into the War Games logo. Because when you think of war, you think of…Canada.
  9. This should be a fairly decent match because come on…it’s Gunther…but I don’t see Priest winning this one.
  10. According to Fightful, that match was put together by TJ Wilson, Petey Williams, and Molly Holly. What?
  11. That was a pretty damn good match. And yeah…Breakker is really coming along. That dude is the real deal.
  12. What’s the general consensus or opinion regarding Kaiser? Gotta be honest, in what I have seen of him, he doesn’t show me much. Quite honestly, I would rather this was a straight up 1 on 1 match between Sheamus and Bron.
  13. Ludwig Kaiser is one of those guys who looks way older than he actually is. Like they used to joke that Arn Anderson was born looking 40 years old.
  14. Any chance Sheamus actually wins the I/C title finally?
  15. BOO BELAL MUHAMMED! Seriously, fuck that guy.
  16. Oh yeah, that was a pretty good finish too. The Scorpion Death Drop on the steel into the running knee to the head.
  17. He is absolutely not the drizzling shits. I have no issue with Nakamura winning here. Knight had the title since SummerSlam, which is a good reign. Nakamura pretty much had to win if they want people to take him seriously. I just hope they have something good planned for Knight now, like a good feud or something. He is way too popular with the fans to be shuffled down the card. Apparently he is still in the top 5 merchandise sellers in WWE.
  18. He always looks like that when he does his entrance, though. One of the things I find hilarious about him, is he’s one of those guys that acts pretty much the exact same if he’s a heel or a babyface. There is literally zero personality change.
  19. Nakamura’s new look is badass. I don’t know why it took them so long to figure out how to book him properly but ever since he attacked Seth Rollins, he has been doing some great work. Especially the promo packages. I’m just conflicted because I don’t want him to beat LA Knight. But I really hope this match delivers.
  20. I’m holding out hope for the Men’s War Games based on who is involved (well, except Tonga Loa) and the fact that the last He’ll in a Cell match they had was epic and not a lot of goofy cartoon plunder. I know they can do it. I just hope they do.
  21. Thank gawd that’s over. That was a whole lot of not good.
  22. Yeah, whoever laid this match out screwed up badly. The pacing has been terrible and I agree with you, as per usual Nia Jax has looked like shit.
  23. Business has picked up since Tiffany Stratton showed up in this match. It was really soft and weak and pretty pathetic before that but she looks great, IMHO.
  24. The whole gimmick of each new person that enters the cage going under the ring to bring some stupid prop with them is really tiresome. It’s just so cheesy.
