  1. Not going to lie, that was actually a decent show. Way better than I thought it was going to be. There were a couple of good matches in there, and that Main Event over delivered.
  2. I thought that the original plan was KO & Sami to end up feuding with The Usos, but at the rate Sami is getting over with this storyline it might end up being him vs. Roman in the Main Event.
  3. All things considered, that was pretty respectable and a hell of a lot better than I thought it would be. They obviously worked in a lot of outside shenanigans but it wasn’t bad. Logan Paul has a hell of a lot of raw talent.
  4. Barrett just said Roman is trying to “break his back and make him humble!”
  5. Yeah, I’ve got to give him credit. That dude can bump, he’s very athletic, and he throws better looking worked punches than half the guys in AEW. He obviously takes this seriously.
  6. Bray Wyatt just said: “No one loves me, they love the idea of me.” Truer words have never been spoken.
  7. Yeah cute is the right word. They were trying to be inventive and creative and failed. That was like a poorly laid out movie fight. The crap with the golf cart was stupid and pointless and Michael Cole bellowing didn’t help the whole thing any.
  8. It looks like a flight suit. All she needs is a helmet.
  9. The Tag Title Match was pretty good. They’re saying Jay Uso has a legit wrist injury. Now they go on to fight New Day on Smackdown. I guess if the Usos win, they break the record for longest reigning Tag Team champs? They are really hyping the hell out of that match.
  10. The fans are chanting “WE WANT SAMI!” As Jay said…you ain’t getting him.
  11. I find it hilarious that the Usos can get into Saudi Arabia with their criminal records, but they can’t get into Canada. Then again, I can’t get into the US, so who am I to laugh.
  12. It’s weird, the crowd was very hot for the Judgement Day/O.C. match. At one point, they were actually chanting “This Is Awesome.” (Spoiler: It was not awesome.) They are kinda dead for this match, for some reason. Omos just doesn’t get it, and he won’t stop with the hokey trash talk, either. The longer this goes, the deader the crowd gets. EDIT: They came alive for the finish when Braun got the powerslam and pin.
  13. Here we go…Omos vs Braun baby! Of course…MVP can’t be here, because he publicly renounced Islam in the past and that’s a head chopping offence in these parts.
  14. Michael Cole calling Karl Anderson “Machine Gun” and openly discussing the history of The Bullet Club and saying “New Japan Pro Wrestling” seems odd to me. Plus he just said that Anderson is still the “NEVER Openweight Champion” in New Japan. Weird.
  15. Kross is passable in the ring, at best. But his whole cornball demeanour and hammy “acting” totally ruin his act. He loses the match, his eyes bug out (Kenny would be proud) and he keeps shouting “THIS WASN’T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!!” They seriously need to fire those TV writers they have. I have to admit I did get a small chuckle out of the ending of the match. Scarlett locks the door, steals the key and points at Drew and shouts “You can’t win!” So he just climbs out of the cage, and wins.
  16. I liked this one, it reminded me of that match that Lesnar had with Joe years ago at “Great Balls of Fire” or the match that he had with Goldberg at Wrestlemania. Just high impact, power moves and short. Maybe seeing big guys beating each other up has become a novelty now since everybody has become so small over the last few years.
  17. I really, really hate this WWE thing of guys delivering ridiculous “dialogue” during the match. SO CHEESY. Man, Scarlett is really hamming it up out there. Does she always have metal spikes sticking out of her face now? Cole just compared her to Hellraiser. Cole just called this match “slow and plodding” and he didn’t mean it as an insult, I swear. I honestly don’t give a crap that they are running shows in Saudi Arabia, but the one part that I find ridiculous is the announcers periodically spouting out very obviously scripted propaganda, extolling the virtues of the country and all the different tourist locations.
  18. OH MY GAWD. Even the female ref has to wear long sleeves LOL. If the men in the crowd get one glimpse of her elbows they will RIOT. OK, so there will be a ref in this match and there will be pinfalls and submissions but you can also escape. This crowd is loud, give them that. Seems to be a lot more kids than the last Saudi show I saw.
  19. Oh man, this Kross/McIntyre Cage Match is under “Escape Rules?” Bleh. Well, they got Scarlett covered up, from the neck down…in a fake leather BDSM type raincoat kinda deal. That’s…something.
  20. So the Women’s Tag Titles just changed hands I think? Didn’t they just change hands this past Monday? I really have not been following this stuff too closely so I have no idea if that was a big deal or not. I assume this was done primarily just to give the Saudis a title change on their big show. The match really wasn’t all that good, honestly. This whole deal with Evil Bayley and her henchwomen does absolutely nothing for me. You really notice a huge difference watching WWE and AEW every week. The WWE promos and angles are generally SO staged and cheesy, just totally forced, fake and not compelling at all. I keep hearing this run for Bayley is supposed to be good, but it seems awful to me. The heel women in AEW have these guys beat by a mile. And that’s saying something because they’re not all that great either.
  21. I was going to say. I have a good buddy who was in the military, and it meant the world to those guys to have WWE come over and do a show for them during the holiday season. They supposedly did a bunch of signings and other stuff and were really nice to the troops. That’s pretty much in the same spirit as other celebrities going over there to entertain the troops. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s a far cry from the Saudi shows which are purely being done for money and nothing else.
  22. There was a Wyatt teaser during Bliss’s (awful stagey) promo which seems to be hinting at something with them again maybe? I’m serious btw, Damage Ctrl look just like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in those bodysuits.
  23. Black Sabbath music in the Survivor Series promo? Cooool. The video package on Liv Morgan was awful and so is she. Women’s Tag Title match now. Nice outfits! Go go Power Rangers!
  24. Lesnar vs. Lashley was awesome. Just two big guys beating the crap out of each other for a short but intense battle. I would take this any day of the week over a lot of the marathon geek spot matches in AEW that go through two commercials. These guys fought in WWE before? Was it any good? Now I want to see it. I’m confused by the booking though. Lesnar attacked Lashley and cost him his title, but the fans are cheering him and booing Lashley and he’s acting like a heel. Based on the post match stuff, maybe they’ll fight again. Hopefully they do turn Lashley full heel and put him back with MVP. Short, great match. Crap finish.
  25. Apparently the board really doesn’t want me to start this thread. But I did it. I know, WWE bad, Triple H bad, Saudi Arabia bad, etc. etc. etc. I don’t care. It’s not like I am actually paying for this crap.
