Pro wrestling dream / nightmare
I had probably the weirdest/scariest dream of my life last night. I had a dream, that among other things, I was hanging out with Jerry Lawler. We were hanging out at his house and talking about old Memphis stuff and then somehow he stole my soul in an effort to keep himself young. So then after he swerved me I was just floating around in outer space and couldn't move. I realized I was dreaming so I tried to do all those things you do when you realize that you're dreaming and want to wake up but none of it worked so I was freaking out that I was actually dead. It was fucked up. And the whole dream felt like it lasted forever but when I woke up it was less than 2 hours after I fell asleep.

WWE TV for 9/7 to 9/13
Does anyone really think that Kurt Angle could pass the stringent WWE physical? In the words of Gorilla Monsoon it's "highly unlikely"

NWA On Demand
I need to get caught up on all the awesome stuff that's been uploaded this week. Haven't really had time to watch anything since the day Gordman/Moreno got uploaded. I know that Spoiler/Wahoo match was going to be good but if you went 4 1/4 on it then it's definitely gonna be the first one I watch.

Alabama Wrestling Alliance
Damn I would have loved to see Ron Starr vs. Charlie Cook

There is a precedent set by WWE itself because I've seen them play matches they don't own that were sent to other territories (like the Empty Arena Lawler/Funk match) on the old WWE Classics 24/7 cable on demand service. Although I'd err on the side of caution just because they are petty as hell. Calm down though Matt_D those sound like AWA TV squash matches sent to Houston to hype up Bock.

How Much Bullshit is the PWI 500(full list below)
I honestly have no idea whether you made those up or if they're real PWI headlines. Because they COULD be real. At least that's the kind of headlines they had back in the day. My favorite part of the Brainbusters podcast trivia game is the "Real or fake?" Apter mag headlines game.

Since you liked Rose in that match watch him in the Pat Rose/Mark Ragin match. Really good job of him getting a good match out of a guy who seems like he's still pretty green.

WWE TV for 9/7 to 9/13
If my twitter feed is any indication the ratings for this show are going to be really, really bad. I know they usually are down on Labor day but still.

Holy crap at Ivan/Dusty in a Coffin match. That 5 man pole match and the Gino match also sound really interesting. That 11/10/78 Lewin match is from the same card as the Wahoo/Ichiban match that just got uploaded. I'm probably the only one but man I really want to see that Mascaras/Apollo team up.

You'll have to watch all of 1999 WCW to find out.

Oldest stuff possible sounds good because that means maybe seeing one of those El Santo matches you talked about. But I like how it's been kind of varied so far, it may have been a little more heavy on Mid-South but we've still seen quite a bit of stuff from 78-83 before Watts started sending talent.

Oh damn Bullet Bob has some real problems now with The Flame back in town.

Some really interesting looking stuff in there, especially vs. Morton, Tito & Tommy Rich. And if that tag match with Stevens is not all clipped up that might finally be the Stevens match everyone is looking for to see where his great rep comes from.- NWA On Demand
Bockwinkel? Who wants to see that old guy? It's not AWAClassics.com- NWA On Demand
The only broken link I've seen so far was that Fantastics vs. Dundee/Mantel match. Surprised that some of the Gino links aren't working for you as they all worked a few weeks ago when I watched them all.- GWE Viewing Marathon Starts Tonight, Midnite Eastern Time.
Already started so no need to wait- WWF results and recaps
Good stuff here and I appreciate your continued realistic use of Mil Mascaras as not just a name on paper to do whatever you book. Terry's promo cacked me up. Seems like Jack Brisco crossed the line here, not a very babyface move to end a man's career. Also surprised you are making Backlund look like Superman surviving 3 piledrivers especially since I've seen you complain about no sold piledrivers on numerous occasions. It is an interesting dichotomy between Parv the wrestling fan who doesn't like Backlund and wants piledrivers to be sold like death and Parv the booker. That's just an observation not really criticism.- [1978-11-10-Houston Wrestling] Wahoo McDaniel vs Ichiban

Hell of a video package. Les Thatcher isn't blowing smoke when he says that Southeastern was a trend setter for television wrestling production.- Ring of Honor Wrestling
I don't really watch but can't remember seeing anything positive written ANYWHERE about Kevin Kelly during his tenure in ROH. It's not like he was a great announcer in his time with WWF either. It's pretty surprising to me that he's lasted so long after they got rid of Cornette.- Southeastern Championship Wrestling - Event Centre
I'm gonna miss having the Gerald Brisco approved™ Charlie Cook on my roster but at least he's found a home where he'll be loved. I love the idea of Eaton & Pritchard against The Fabs especially when you think about how both guys ended up being partners of Stan Lane in real life.- The new wrestling economy
I can deal with weekly TV that doesn't really have anything to write home about match wise but you gotta give me some good promos. It's not like Southeastern TV was great from an in-ring standpoint maybe the best TV match I've seen from that era was Charlie Cook vs. Mr. Saito and I don't think most people would really care too much if they saw it now (I did upload it to youtube though). But at least I get to hear great talkers like Bob Armstrong, The Fullers, Jimmy Golden, Jerry Stubbs etc. I can't remember anyone from the NXT episodes that I watched standing out in that regard. - NWA On Demand
