What is the future of NXT?
I'm not sure it's really going to matter. NXT seems to have the much stronger kool-aid their fanbase seems way more diehard than ROH's.

What are you watching?
Been messing around with twitter lately after never really doing anything with it. Today I happened to stumble across a guy asking for retweets for his Chilean wrestling videos which led me to this. This looks pretty good actually I'd go to one of these shows if it wasn't like 1,000 miles away: Their most recent video had some fun stuff like a hair vs. hair match and a match that included a dude getting a giant photo of himself broken over his own head. That's pro wrestling, I can't care what country it's from!

Hey Wahoo when are you writing out the guys you gave up for the draft?

Your confessions as a wrestling fan
I like the ga-ga of wrestling more than the actual matches themselves. I'm much more likely to watch something that's recognized as a great promo or an awesome angle than I am something that's pimped as a 4+ star match.

Your Wrestling Pet Peeves/Utter Hatreds
When people come along and hold their nose up like "Eww you're wasting your time watching THAT shitty wrestling?" no matter what it is. Even if it IS really shitty wrestling. I'll watch just about anything wrestling related, at least a little bit of it. I don't feel the need to come along and take a dump every time a thread pops up about wrestling that I have no interest in watching. Hell I even watched that Nick Gage vs. Sid Fabulous match that someone talked about in the Modern Indie Wrestling thread and I came out of that feeling like everyone involved in that match, including the fans were all pretty disgusting people. But that didn't mean I felt any need to try and blast the wrestling fan credentials of the guy who originally posted about it.

Your Wrestling Pet Perfections/ Utter Love
EDIT: I put this in the wrong thread. My pet perfection right now is NWAClassics.com though.

What are you watching?
Yea honestly I was like "man I want to see more Roger Kirby" after hearing Race talk him up but then after that he said all that stuff about Mike George and I was like "well..now I don't know." Because I never saw Mike George like that at all. I mean he looked good in the early 80s footage I've seen but not anything that'd make you think he was a superstar.

What are you watching?
I watched this a few weeks ago and also thought it was very well done. Seems like it went under the radar when it first got released, I would have though something this well done would have gotten a little more buzz when it came out. I did my own part in helping to get a few more people to check it out.

WWE TV 7/20 - 7/26
I don't have the numbers breakdown but I would put the blame on the booking of Rollins' title reign. He's given way too much time on the show, usually saying the same shit. He's not a guy who needs 30+ minutes of talking every show.

Portland/Vancouver Merger Draft - Starting now
If you want to put Bass in and take a draft pick I don't see why you can't, I think everyone was just assuming that was the route you would take.

NWA On Demand
So with the Bunkhouse Battle Royal, I have now watched 26 matches from the site since July 4th. I might post a lot but I'm not among the heavyweights of footage watching on this board by any means so for me to have watched that much already just tells you how awesome this stuff is. It's crazy to think that there are probably already more hours of footage from the Sam Houston Coliseum up on NWAClassics.com than there are of Madison Square Garden on the WWE Network.

WWE TV 7/20 - 7/26
Actually I was just wanting to get a Saito joke in with the guns drawn thing. I don't think they should have actually done that. People freaked out during the Austin/Pillman thing and it would get 10x more of a reaction these days with everyone posting gifs and memes all over social media.

- Portland/Vancouver Merger Draft - Starting now
Ok so now that we've firmly established that the merger is going through, let's just get this done with and we'll decide what happens with the new August talent afterwards. The draft order has already been decided in the other thread so let's stick with that. If you don't want to draft anyone by the time it's your turn you can just pass, I mean you don't HAVE to take anyone if you don't like what's there. Aw man I would have loved to work out a deal involving The Fabs too.- NWA On Demand
Yea this was mostly the Gino & Tully show although I saw a few flashes from The Dog especially the bit where he's avoiding Tully or Gino before making the hot tag to Tony where he was moving way faster than I've ever seen him move.- Dave Meltzer stuff
Can someone tell me if Dave has reported on WrestleMania being a money loser this year? People on another board are just throwing that around like it's a known fact, apparently based on some throwaway comment from Dave over on the F4W board, but I would have thought a story like that would have been a lot bigger news.- Animated GIF thread

shoe why is there an empty space large enough to drive a truck through after your Terry Taylor vs. Jake the Snake Okada review? I really need to watch that Bunkhouse Battle Royal. Dr Death came out wearing his football helmet!- Too many clean wins, not enough cheap finishes.
It's Lesnar. Whether or not Lesnar was known for being in the WWE first he became a star all on his own in UFC and meant more for UFC PPV business than anyone in WWE meant for their PPVs. That's besides the fact that the whole stop-start push thing started when Lesnar quit after they'd spent about 2 years giving him the biggest debut push of anyone ever.- NWA On Demand
The Roku App will apparently be ready by next week but I've seen a few different posts that you can use XBox 360, XBox One & PS4 with the internal browser to watch on your TV.- Guys Eligible In August 1983
Works for me. Either way we really need to go ahead and establish what we're gonna do for these.- G-1 Climax 25 Discussion
I don't want this to get lost- Too many clean wins, not enough cheap finishes.
I agree but I also think that's a big part of the problem. Everything doesn't have to be complicated, they just make it that way. Micromanaging everything down to the minute, being publicly traded, asking for so much money for TV renewal, leaving PPV & starting the Network, starting their own farm league like baseball franchises, having to appease network executives, etc. This feels like COMPLETELY missing the forest for the trees. They are a business first. Going public, getting as much money as possible for their TV, starting their own Network, having NXT are all smart business decisions to either strengthen the company's future or just make as much money as possible. Having to appease network executives is something that EVERY television show has to do how are they supposed to avoid that? - Portland/Vancouver Merger Draft - Starting now
