Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
You could always come up with like an outline for a month of TV when you have time then it you can just do your weekly shows real easy even if you don't have a lot of time.

Elimination Chamber 2015
Compared to this god awful argument between JBL and Lawler about why Ambrose shouldn't be a champion? That was a reaction to his "Well that's just his unorthodox style King! You're not the only one who loves it!" line that about made me puke.

Rollins is proof that not all your good work rate midcard guys make for good main eventers

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
Yea I was definitely looking to do a more long term thing and just see how long it plays out until everyone loses interest. I mean, booking one TV show a week really is nothing sometimes I sit and do a whole month of shows in my TEW game and I have 8 hours of TV a week in that game.

Elimination Chamber 2015
SomethingAwful forums seems to have some database of crowd noise as they have been talking about what a shitty crowd Corpus Christi always is for weeks. But this is the same forum where someone has spent over $300 on rovert avatars over the past 2 days so...

Elimination Chamber 2015
I really hope Roman doesn't turn but that would be a very WWE thing to do now I guess.

Elimination Chamber 2015
I kind of wouldn't mind Swagger and you can even hype him as a favorite due to him being a former winner. But then I don't like Bray Wyatt and I think Reigns & Orton are both way above the IC title and are better not even on the card than being IC champ OR losing in that match. EDIT: I missed the part about "former World champion." I stand by my point about Orton though. Swagger would be the best pick based on that. Maybe it'll be RVD or Jericho.

New Day are really good at it though.

If anything they dragged out the story too long. As much as people wanted him to win the feud, where does Mizdow go without The Miz to play off of? The whole reason it got over is because it was fun to see him mock a guy that no one likes. The only way you can really end the story is with Miz going over and Sandow moving on to something (somewhere) else. At least with the stipulations of "winner gets to keep being Miz" Let us not forget how awful he was leading up to that with his impersonations of Magneto and Abraham Lincoln. Yes, that was terrible writing but he couldn't make any of it work. Miz impersonator was pretty terrible writing too but for once the shit that they threw at the wall stuck, and Sandow got it over. But it's still a short term gimmick with nowhere to go once it's over. I don't think he got fucked by them not rewarding him with some big push after it was done because I don't think he could have gotten that over as Damien Sandow regular dude who isn't pretending to be Miz anymore. If I wanted to complain about dudes in comedy gimmicks who should have gotten bigger pushes, Santino post Elimination Chamber 2012 is right there.

Dead end gimmicks eventually have to hit the wall. How much the writers get paid has nothing to do with that. In another era you could have really milked the thing by having Miz go over in the end and send Sandow packing. Now we're stuck with him after he's hit his dead end wall.

Kane an Observer Hall of Famer????
Yea, I actually think he's been having a great year as the character of Corporate Kane although they really need to not have him in so many pointless tag matches. But I have enjoyed the interplay with Kane & Seth although I wish they'd kind of bring that story to a conclusion now.

So did all the fantasy bookers of the internet but I honestly never saw anyone come up with something more complex than "push him as a serious character and give him a midcard title" It would work in TEW so why not right?

All Time Favourite/Best Tag Team and Why?
Matt do you think that The Road Warriors are under rated as workers? In their thread over in the GWE poll people seem to be really down on their work but watching them from 84-85 in AWA & Montreal they look legitimately good. They sell and bump way more than people give them credit for in their matches against The High Flyers, Rick Martel & Dino Bravo, and Jacques & Armand Rougeau. More than any other match I can think of that I have seen in clipped form I wish there was a full version of The Road Warriors vs. King Tonga & Dino Bravo match due to how much I like the opening few minutes that are shown on TV.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
If we're going to do a reader vote thing then we'll need everyone to agree to at least do a summary version of their stuff if they are going to write out really elaborate TV shows and big events. I don't know how the re-alignment thing is going to work yet but I think you should be able to keep, at a minimum, 40% of your roster.

WWE TV 5/25 - 5/31/15
I think that's really good summation of Sandow. "There's a certain type of internet fan who doesn't understand that not everyone gets to be a main eventer" is really true and it causes like this weird thing with Sandow where the discussion ends up being people going way overboard in praising him or people having to go out there way to point out all of his flaws to show why he's really not a main event talent. So he never really gets talked about in a fair context. He makes me miss Santino though.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
Since we are going to have some kind of re-alignment draft every 6 months or so, what if we made it so draft order in that draft would be decided by reader vote based on whose territory is doing the best? Meaning, since we're going to have people reading these why not incentivize everyone to really put an effort into it by rewarding the bookers who readers think are doing the best job at booking their territory by giving them higher picks in the draft. This would mirror reality also because the best talent would always want to go to the best territories. Maybe some kind of points based deal based where people could rank the best 3-5 TV shows per week, or the best 3-5 overall territories by month.

El Dandy
El Dandy, El Gran Hamada y El Satanico vs. Pirata Morgan, Angel Blanco Jr. y Emilio Charles Jr. (EMLL 4/6/90) This was a fun little trio, not a real memorable one though. The biggest takeaway from this is that Pirata Morgan is a bump freak taking a totally unnecessary flip bump off the apron to the floor and then splashing himself into the post outside after Satanico moved. Satanico's fist pump afterwards was pretty awesome too. Charles had a lot of fire against Hamada for some reason and that was fun. The tecnicos win the third fall after they all hit dives and get back in the ring before the countout. Oh, also Dandy is still pure tecnico here so it looks like him teasing going rudo was just him really not liking Angel Azteca.

I actually thought it was a pretty damning indicator of the Rhodes Scholars team that they had so many tag matches on TV and PPV and not a single one of them really stands out as memorable. Especially that feud with Team Hell No where they seemed to have at least one match on Raw or Smackdown every week for like 4 months.

El Dandy
El Dandy vs. Angel Azteca (Shaky) (EMLL 3/23/90) This match kind of defies your usual tecnico/tecnico matchup as these guys just don't like each other and they are both throwing hands in the first minute of this match. When they wind up outside Dandy misses a big punch and Angel Azteca tosses him into the boards twice. I guess I could see where people would say Dandy is the rudo in this, but he just has a very frumpy face. This is a pretty short first fall that Dandy wins after a fancy cradle. Dandy starts to maybe cheat a bit here as he stalls in the ropes after a break playing possum and then comes out with a headbutt to Azteca's gut. Now Azteca is the one bending the rules as the ref decides his chinlock is more of a choke and he pulls Azteca off rather forcefully. Azteca hits like a modified russian leg sweep into a submission to win the second fall and this fall wasn't much longer than the first. The crowd is still very invested in both of these guys not cheating as they seem to boo both of them at different times depending on their tactics. They wind up outside the ring almost immediately into the third fall and Dandy sends Azteca into the boards to extract some revenge from earlier. The announcer is talking about Azteca wrestling for the people but Dandy wrestling for himself and then Dandy starts dragging Angel Azteca around the ring by his mask so yea, Dandy is getting to be a real dick now. Dandy drops an elbow on the back of Azteca's head to the disapproval of the crowd. They definitely seem to be telling a "the crowd is turning on Dandy/Dandy is turning his back on the people" story with a lot of cutaways to the crowd here. Dandy drills Azteca for a german suplex for what looks like a 3 count but the ref calls it only a 2 so Dandy starts to argue with him. It DID look like a 3 count, for posterity's sake. One of my favorite tropes in wrestling occurs as Dandy turns around from arguing with the ref and gets pulled into a small package. Dandy ends up missing his senton off the 2nd rope and then he gets hit with a dive that sends him into the 3rd row! He ends up back in before Azteca though and dropkicks Azteca off the apron and goes for a plancha but Azteca sticks out his knee and Dandy comes down in like a nasty gutbuster. That was cool. Azteca is selling his knee after in a nice touch. Dandy gets hit with ANOTHER dive that sends him into the 2nd row this time. He pulls Azteca back from behind as he's trying to get into the ring then Dandy rolls in and what happened? The refs calls it a draw. Maybe they were both counted out? This was getting hot but the finish sucked. Dandy calls for more, I suppose this is the lucha equivalent of asking for "5 more minutes" as they tease them both wanting to continue the match but the ref is wagging his finger off to let us know it's not going to happen. Dandy hits a cheap shot on Azteca as they get face to face and then challenges Azteca to get up and hit him back. He does, but Dandy drops him on his ass again with 1 punch and then lets us know with his facial expressions that he thinks Azteca is a punk who can't take a punch. This was good but not great but it definitely left me wanting to see more of this matchup.
