The Daniel Bryan Push Thread
This might be one of the most optimistic posts ever

Current WWE
I don't know what they are doing with the Real Americans breakup, but the whole thing seems to be starting with problems between Swagger and Zeb. They probably would decide to try ANOTHER Swagger singles push. Maybe this time they'll try him out as a face.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
The people running around yelling "work" are just the worst kind of fan. They are so worried about being smarter than everyone else, that EVERYTHING is a work because "I'm too smart to get worked" I'm sure the same people yelling "it's a work!" are the same who thought Daniel Bryan getting fired the first time was a work or even that Lawler's heart attack was a work.

Why would he even need to buy RoH? I'm pretty sure he could just announce he was going to start a promotion, sign up whatever is out there and then wait for the RoH contracts to expire. Not that he is going to do any of that since the word is that he is smart with his money and not a complete fucking idiot as to waste it all opening a vanity promotion.

Dave Meltzer stuff
The Rumble is the 2nd biggest WWE PPV of the year. The Rumble match itself is kind of the "can't miss" traditional WWE match of the year, regardless of recent quality. It's likely there were a lot of non Pittsburgh natives at the show.

I wouldn't make that gamble. The same kind of audience that is going to know about how to order a NJPW iPPV is also going to know how to get that iPPV for free from a torrent site a few hours after the event.

Current WWE
Call me cynical, but I think Titus was the heel by default because Darren Young couldn't be the heel. You are right though. No, I mean I get that. I know there is no way they would turn Darren. But I think they could have split them up without forcing either to go heel. I also don't think people cared enough about the team for a feud to work between them. At least Cryme Tyme was over.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
I really do not think Punk will ever wrestle anywhere outside of the WWE again. I think if he got the itch to come back it would be with WWE, and they'd readily make up with him so it's not like he wouldn't be able to go back. I just can't see a guy at his level wrestling on some crappy indy card regardless of how much some money mark would be willing to overpay.

A Call For Picks
I think this concept should be revisited once the WWE Network starts. I think most people here will end up subscribing so it'll be easier to pick a match that everyone can easily access.

I wonder how royalties are going to work with the WWE Network.

The Daniel Bryan Push Thread
Yea I don't really understand the people complaining that he's always getting beat up on TV, or mad that he doesn't win all of his matches. He wins most of his matches, and those that he don't almost always include him being screwed in some way. Him being beat clean by Wyatt at Rumble is the first I can remember in a LONG time. Plus, he's an underdog babyface. That usually includes getting beat up on TV a lot. If anything I actually feel like they've booked him TOO strong at times. No one should be kicking out of top rope powerbombs in match 1 of a 3 match gauntlet.

I really really want to see this now even if my spanish isn't good enough to probably understand it.

Mid-South Legends Fanfest
I don't know any of the indy guys but I'd go to any show within an hours driving distance that had Chris Masters on it. Getting to see Bill Dundee, The RNR Express and even Elijah Burke is a nice addition.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
I know everyone wants to jump on the "Ryback sucks" bandwagon now but I agree with you. Even after they fucked him over at HITC they still could have rehabbed him by having him beat Brock Lesnar at Mania. But then they just had him lose to Mark Henry and he hasn't been the same since.

Ryback tweeted this about Punk leaving Hilarious.

Batista can work though. He's not exactly Broadus or Ted Arcidi here. His reactions are a result of the booking, not him. If they had put him in a better scenario he'd be getting great reactions. There are obviously people who wanted to see him come back, as evidenced by the big jump in the Raw rating for his return. I think they've realized after The Rock and Brock Lesnar really didn't move PPV buyrates THAT much, that The Network was a better chance to have people plunk down money to see a star return. $10 a month is a lot cheaper to see Batista come back than $60 to see Rock wrestle at Mania. I have to imagine if there was ever a chance they'd get Austin to come back for one more match, it would have been this year. No one could mean more to The Network launch.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I don't think it was a bad idea to use Matt Hardy in RoH at all. He's a guy who wrestling fans would stop on if they were flipping through channels. I'm more surprised that arrest happened on the 1st and it didn't hit the internet until just now.

If you he won't be paying a mortgage and without any kids and no plan to have kids, it's pretty easy to see how he could be set for life.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
I kind of doubt it because what's the "work?" How do they bring Punk back and address him going home? He was just really mad at Kane?
-
Punk Walks Out of WWE
They should totally put a new spin on that. Love Vince motioning to Austin not to climb the ropes like he always did so Austin just raises an arm in the corner.
-
Punk Walks Out of WWE
Yea but that only lasted like 1 week when Austin comes out in the suit before ripping it off at the end of the promo.
-
Mid-South Legends Fanfest
I would totally go to this if it wasn't so far away. And how does a scrub like Hoyt get regular work in Japan while my man Chris Masters doesn't seem to have anything resembling steady work?

The Daniel Bryan Push Thread
I'm not sure how I feel about him defending against HHH relative to beating HHH for it. HHH as a challenger brings up bad memories of the build for HHH challenging Cena. Yea but at least all the stuff HHH will say in his promos will just be a continuance of the storyline they ran for months after SummerSlam. "You aren't face of the WWE material, you shouldn't be champion, B+ player blah blah" and then HHH has the chance to prove himself right. Bryan beats him clean at WrestleMania and makes him tap, finally ending it.

It's not even so much that he "left on good terms" as that it's not like when Steve Austin left and it was a big huge deal. It was like "oh CM Punk wants to go home? Ok, tell someone to rewrite Raw." It's not like they aren't rewriting it 2 hours before the show every other week anyway.
