Bulldog Bob Brown is a good candidate as far as I'm concerned. Seemed really bad in this stuff I saw him in from Central States. Which is such an awful territory. When two of the biggest "Central States guys" are Bulldog Bob Brown and Rufus R. Jones you know it's a shitty territory.

I almost feel like this is such a stock "internet smark" answer but at this point Great Khali has been in WWE since 2006. He's had no more than a handful of matches that you could even call "good." It's to the point where "who had a better match with Khali" gets trotted out when people are comparing top guys in WWE.

They already beat Cena, Ryback and Sheamus. There really isn't anywhere "up" to go unless they wind up involved with Taker or something.

Edge could come back and make it a three way.

Ok I'm going to try and jump into Puerto Rico right now. If I've seen any before it can't be more than a match or two. Gonna start with the Hansen/Colon match that Dylan keeps pimping. Stan Hansen v. Carlos Colon - Bullrope Match 2/87 Immediately I am excited that the commentary is not spoken as fast as in Lucha as I'm fairly fluent in Spanish as long it's spoken somewhat slowly. Man this really is the best match of this kind I've seen. Sometimes the use of the "touching all 4 corners" gimmick can get really hokey but not here. This was super violent and felt like a real struggle. Awesome match.

I'd guess Danica Patrick has it far worse, but that's nothing compared to Hank Aaron either.

Just watched Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Killer Khan from November 7, 1987 Boston Garden. I got this show based almost solely on this unique matchup. I guess with that kind of expectation it was a pretty disappointing match. Bam Bam Bigelow is not a guy you are interested in watching do long periods of underneath selling as a babyface. And Nick Bockwinkle as a commentator on this match actually exposed a really big flaw in Bam Bam. It's kind of silly that he bases so much of his offense around falling headbutts and headbutts off the top rope when he's such a big dude that should be doing splashes. I love Killer Khan but I've yet to see a match of his I really liked from WWF. That includes the Hogan match with Hogan rubbing the mist in his eyes for the finish.

Tiger Ali Singh says hello. Of course you can say the "outside circumstance" was that he was a shitty worker, but I found he was actually pretty good in the Million Dollar Man redux gimmick they gave him at one point. I think they missed the boat by not making him a heel manager. The Lo Down thing was just a terrible fit but there had to have been someone they could have found that fit the character.

I was all about Sheamus vs. Brock Lesnar until Ryback got huge. I'm kind of torn at this point though. They really need to rehab Sheamus right now because the character feels really stale, and maybe a feud with Lesnar would give him some edge back. On the other hand, I think they could really put Ryback over the top if they had him beat Lesnar. Although I'm starting to think they may be building Ryback up to be the big heel challenger to Cena after he wins the belt back so they may have entirely different plans in mind for Ryback.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think Dos Caras Jr. was a really big time player in Mexico? I think part of HIS big push was the fact that he kept talking about wanting to quit and go back to Mexico if they didn't do something with him.

I'm glad you guys are doing these because it gives me an excuse to put this set on the back burner until you guys catch up to me at Disc 10. This feels like we're getting into the territory of "name guys I don't like" now. Brian Christopher is definitely not up there with the likes of Jay Strongbow, Blackjack Mulligan or Ox Baker where you almost NEVER saw them do anything good. The point of this thread was to name guys who were ON TOP or near it that had long runs while never being good. Guys like the Harris Bros or Mongo don't really fit the criteria.

Maybe Swagger decided he'd make another attempt at getting that release they wouldn't give him a few months back.

It's pretty clear what WCW needed from the beginning of the year: Goldberg running through the nWo one by one. They had so many expendable guys, they could have even used the departure of The Giant as the big start, then he takes out all the scrubs like Vincent and Brian Adams. Drag it out until Spring Stampede in April or the Bash in June as the absolute latest for Goldberg to beat Hogan and take back the belt. Should have been a long road of killing the nWo B-Team before getting to Hall, Nash then Hogan for the belt.

It's supposed to be whatever you think is Terry Funk's best match. So if you think the Bash match w/Flair is his best match, that'd be your answer.

Mulligan pissed me off in that tag because Lawler spends forever getting beat on, finally makes the hot tag, Mulligan comes in hits probably his entire offensive arsenal and then tags back out in like 90 seconds or less. Plus he was partnering with Lawler which only made his shitty punches look even worse in comparison.

If he was, Will wants to know about it! I asked that question here before as well and there was someone who came to his defense saying he was better in the 70s. But man is Mulligan one of the worst "name" guys I've seen from the 80s. Has some of the worst punches I have ever seen, looks like he gets blown up about 90 seconds into a match and works extremely light for a guy whose character is supposed to be so tough. Good promo though.

I completely agree with this. They were change the channel bad. If someone doesnt have at least a few matches or memorable moments that pique my interest than to me they're useless. To me thats how i feel about the Harris Bros. I don't think the Harris Brothers are bad enough to qualify, nor do I think they were really big enough stars to fit the thread. Ed Leslie is a good pick. I can't think of one really good match he was in.

Konnan is a good pick. It doesn't matter if they were over. Rufus R. Jones was over in places. Ox Baker had to have been over somewhere. I can't think of any good Konnan matches, at least not any that he directly contributed to.
