I'm enjoying Backlund here... If you watch Pro Wrestling USA from 1985 or so you'll note how tremendous he looked. He really trimmed down and got toned and looked the part of an "80s rassler". This would have been a perfect time for a heel run. Enjoyed the Fleming and Horowitz shtick. FUn match with Magnum vs. Ventura. The Orndorff run in was fun too until old Dusty had to come in and ruin it. He must have the book.

Martel over Ole was an excellent piece of business as a way to introduce Ricky. Reed vs. Arn for 26 minutes? Yes please! I wish Doom and Horsemen had done more in their 1990 feud. Good to see VInes and Sword being renamed. I'm enjoying almost everything here, the only thing I can't get behind is Zumhofe winning, but only due to his real life actions.

I like the new TNT look... Larry Hennig won't be pushed over that's for sure... Fun to see the Funker and Hennig having a conversation of wits... The Ace Art Crews... He better live up to the hype he talked. Some fun TV and solid story building.

Solid show. The combo of Ross and Watts really accentuates the program. I'm a big John Tatum fan so it was nice to see him placed with Garvin and Beefcake here. I felt bad for Chic Donovan though as it seemed abrupt, as if you acquired Tatum so you just discarded Chic. Almost like art imitating life.

Solidly organized and easy to read. A readers dream lol... I enjoy watching your storylines progress.

Surprised to see Shawn get the push here, especially over someone the caliber of the Masked Superstar. As long as you take his push to the top nice and slow this is a great way to get him going.

Loving the tag team scene here. So much going on. Always a fun time reading your work.... Love all of the angles and creative booking up and down the card!

The Missing Link/Macho Man program has me wondering how great this angle would have been had they kept Link in the WWF in 1985 and played out the Savage/George Steele storyline with Link in Steele's place. Dewey Robertson proved how over the Link character could be in Dallas and UWF. I would have loved to have seen Link vs. Savage throughout 86 instead of the Animal. Fun stuff there... Good seeing Bill White get a little play. A phenomenal enhancement talent who could have used a little push in Mid-Atlantic IRL. Watching Mosca Jr. work for Gino is good use of somebody who lacked that "it" factor in real life to get over on their own. Having Mosca play whipping boy to Tonga after the cage match was fun. And Reverend Cash... I like it. I may have to attend the Church of Boogie Woogie once to see how it is. Is Manhattan Transfer the choir?

Magnum TA... IF that is your real name... the "acceptable" Korchenko.... and yes Rockald Johnson. Backlund was a hoot here. If only he had used that charisma during his WWF title run. Great main event along with a fun undercard. Would have been cool to see this show air in reverse order like they did with the real SNME, because the main event here would have really got the show off and running HOT. The more Backlund, the better. Very surprised to see the Samoans and Kamala take losses here to much smaller and inexperienced opponents. 1984 Kamala was a BEAST... Curious to see what type of push is in store for Armand.

Looks like the Cowboys are headed out of town. I was sad to see Adonis go also. I feel he could have been a main player here. But Boyd is one devious guy. SS Machine was robbed by Nord and Zbyszko. Good match. Always enjoyed Chicky & Ron Starr together Ron Garvin having his way as of late. Good stuff with Embry and looks like a face turn may be in the near future. It's not the Pacific without a Rose Army! Speaking of the Pacific, I really appreciated that 2 out of 3 fall match between Rose & Haynes.

Really enjoyed seeing Terry Taylor against Buzz and the Superstar. Some really quality matches from Great Lakes.

Fun TV here. Good promo from DiBiase. Curious to see if Ted keeps his word about nobody at ringside. Anytime you have the Iceman on the show you can't go wrong. Curious to see how Iceman as ref plays out at the Omni. I've never seen anyone use the team of Pez and Norvell together before, I really like it. Sheik and Koloff will prove to be a very tough opponent. That Omni card is ridiculous with talent. I think Hansen was being nice to little old Tojo here. I'm thinking Stan could have easily put him away in 3 minutes rather than 13.

Enjoyed the pairing of Jimmy Garvin and Brutus Beefcake here. I had a writer in an old league of mine create the same team in the past so it brings back fun memories and its great to see someone else with a similar vision. I guess there's something about these two that compliment each other. They have similar enough characters with Garvin obviously being the worker of the unit. Precious makes a great addition, makes you wonder if Garvin will become jealous of Brutus way down the line. Chic makes a fun third wheel to mix up the unit. Windham vs Garvin was also really solid. Love your writing. Well organized, easy on the eyes, and the promos are good stuff. Really like Bill Watts here. Dog vs. Bockwinkel was a good piece of business with Studd. Poor JYD, and everyone else who has to deal with Studd while going after Bock. I'm also a fan of the name The Movement over the Zambuie Express. I guess Dusty isn't booking them Some good talent here and your hard work writing TV pays off as the shows read well. Very entertaining.

Fun angle with Hart and Savage. Dynamite and Armstrong were impressive over the High Flyers and I really like that pairing. Hennig vs. Martel was a real treat for purist fans and Bobby Heenan always makes the best choice of seasoning to add flavor to any match. Can't go wrong there. Buddy Landel lucks his way into everything! The Sheiks are on their way out of the promotion, or maybe not??? and Baby Doll also appears to be on her way out... of Hot stuff Inc that is. Should be interesting to see where that leads... Slaughter proves to be the sore loser as he shows his true colors to the Anvil, and they're not red, white and blue. Solid challenger for the Hulkster in Bad News. Fun show top to bottom. Lots of commotion going on up and down the card with many questions.

This last Boutwell show was awesome. Had the southern feel to the booking and was really enjoyable. I like how Hercules is being incorporated, and having the Fullers here makes it even easier to get heat on the heels. I could see Buddy celebrating, in my opinion he deserved the win!

Cool to see you're continuing to keep your creativity sharp! Fun read as always. Summer Blast looks stacked top to bottom and I really enjoyed some of the gimmicks/nicknames you've given some of the talent who otherwise would have come off a little bland under a less seasoned writer. "Downtown" Denny Brown, "One & Only" Steve O, Real Deal is also a solid pairing. Always enjoyed the King gimmick when Fergie used it. Wells also makes a fun project here as he was honestly pretty agile for his size and entertaining when motivated, problem was he was often not motivated due to personal issues at the time. He put on a heck of a 2 minute slew of offense at WrestleMania II, and that's how I like to remember him. A lot of his Master G stuff is now available on WWE Network in WCCW and he also worked it as a face in Mid-South after Dog left IRL. A really solid and fun roster up and down. Like I said, Summer Blast is stacked, but for me I'm most looking forward to Tully vs Idol, Funk vs. Tito, and of course that 6 man Cage match.

The 4 corners tag match would have been heaven. I do agree also, Luger and Bundy together makes for a cool visual. Somehow it works for me.

Curious to see what happens here with the Muta/Hennig situation... Great match, but generally the original ref has the final say, hence all the Dusty finishes in our lifetime, lol... Will Hennig be given the belt back? History would say yes, but we shall see. The youngster Rockers paying some dues against the veterans Valentine and HTM. I'm sure Hogan vs. Dr. D and Savage vs. Flair drew the house, but MSG felt a little light with only 6 matches. Good Prime Time show. Arn vs. Tito could main event TV once a month and still draw interest. I like the addition of the Rougeaus as well. The Main Event III already shaping up to be wrestling's highest rating ever with the two matches announced.

I like this new 4 way divide. Sort of how it was done in real life at this point. WWF, JCP, AWA, and UWF... The Flame in J-Tex would be a good addition.

With the Sept 17 Raw in the bag, the WWF heads towards their IYH PPV this Sunday Sept. 23 in Saginaw, MI * While Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie both re-signed with the company it was interesting to see Jarrett return on his own and have Mabel added to his entourage as some type of a bodyguard role. At this time it's unclear if the Roadie is being repackaged or if there are plans to reintroduce him as the same character. * The Doink the Clown you saw on Raw is in fact the original, Matt Borne. The man who played the baby face Doink for the last two years, Ray Apollo, was released after the character had gotten stale and the fans began to chant "Kill the Clown" during his matches. It looks like Vince had a change of heart with the character, bringing it back with a much better talent playing the gimmick. * Owen Hart and Yokozuna have been on quite a tear with their Tag Team Title Open Challenges. As Jim Cornette continues to trash the towns he's in there have been rumors of who may show up to accept the challenge at the IYH in Michigan on Sunday.

Super Vader. Nice. Not nearly as imposing in size in 1986 but still a bull of a man. Two Colorado boys out there with the right one winning. The Sarge and Hall should be happy that Piper may have just saved their lives by preventing them from interfering on behalf of Scorp. I really like the use of all of the tag teams here in AWA

After failing to beat Diesel at SummerSlam, I think King Mabel realized that Mo was just a prop and added nothing to his entourage. He's moving on to bigger and better things with Double J...

WWF MONDAY NIGHT RAW September 17, 1995 SPECIAL 90 MINUTE EDITION! Vince McMahon welcomes everyone to the Manhattan Center. Raw returns once again this week LIVE from it's old stomping grounds. Welcome everyone, to Mon-day Night RAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Vince is back this week with a giddy Jerry "The King" Lawler. It appears the King has done an about face in his thoughts on the announced Steel Cage Match against Bret Hart at this Sunday's In Your House. Lawler says he's now looking forward to ridding the WWF of the Hitman once and for all. Vince rolls his eyes and throws it to the Fink. MATCH #1: RAZOR RAMON VS. RENO RIGGINS A quick, easy, paint by the numbers squash for the Bad Guy here. The Razor's Edge wins it in 3 minutes. Ramon did show a new sense of aggressiveness as he is coming off the tough loss to IC Champion Shawn Michaels and their ladder match from SummerSlam. Ramon now looks to pick up the pieces and move forward. He impressed in this match to show everyone he's still on top of his game. Ramon is scheduled to meet the Bulldog at In Your House. During the match another interesting thing of note. Vince McMahon noticed DOINK THE CLOWN looming around the audience, having fun with the kids. We haven't seen much of Doink in recent months. Vince said it's good to see Doink back in the WWF "full time". Lawler wasn't a fan. ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ MATCH #2: JOHNNY B. BADD VS. THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER The Brawler must have watched last week's match between Badd and Rigging, because Brawler takes things a little more cautiously to start. Lombardi goes to the eyes of Badd early and works him over in the corner. Badd fights his way out and a back suplex with a bridge gets him a 2 count. Badd with a slam and a slingshot legdrop from the apron into the ring for another near fall. Brawler rolls outside the ring to try and recover but Badd nails him with a somersault plancha to the floor. Johnny rolls Brawler back in the ring where he Johnny comes flying off the top rope with a sunset flip for the win. WINNER IS JOHNN B. Johnny celebrates with the fans after the match, allowing them to stick dollar bills in his knee pad. ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ "Macho Man" Randy Savage joins Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler on commentary. A little bit of a blast from the past. Savage will join the announce team for the next match as he talks about his upcoming WWF Title shot with Diesel that WWF President Gorilla Monsoon granted him last week. Savage is excited for the opportunity. He says an opportunity is all he ever asked for. Lawler asks Macho what happens if Savage LOSES to Diesel at In Your House. Savage quips that he never thinks that far ahead. Macho doesn't plan to lose. To the ring... Vince informs us that loudmouth Jim Cornette has been riling the crowd up all through the commercial break. Cornette is at ringside with the WWF Tag Team Champions Yokozuna and Owen Hart as they again present their OPEN CHALLENGE to ANY TEAM that will accept. We hear familiar music play as Savio Vega begins to make his way to the ring. Cornette and company laugh as Savio is alone. Vega stops in the middle of the aisle as Cornette asks him if he can count past 1. Jim gives Savio credit for his courage, but tells Vega not to let bravery turn into stupidity. Vega smiles back at Cornette and points to the back... And again we hear familiar music, but it's music we haven't heard in quite some time... IT'S>>>>>>>>>>> MARTY JANNETTY! Marty Jannetty has returned to the WWF!!!!! Cornette is hot. Vince mentions that they've been coming out of the woodwork to return to the WWF with the Tag Titles being offered up in these open challenges. MATCH #3: WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS YOKOZUNA & OWEN HART (W/JIM CORNETTE) VS. MARTY JANNETTY & SAVIO VEGA Fast paced action begins this one as Marty wastes no time in his return. Jannetty starts things off with Owen and they're all over the ring with quick moves and counters. Marty sends Owen out of the ring but Owen skins the cat back inside. Hart thinks he has Marty off guard, but MJ is ready turns around in time to backdrop Owen out of the ring on the other side. Cornette fans Owen with his tennis racket on the floor. Raw rolls on!!! ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ WWF TAG TITLE ACTION CONTINUES.... Jannetty and Savio continue their control as Owen tags in the big man. Yoko stumbles and staggers from the quick double team offense of this new makeshift team. Vega DROPS Yoko with a big spinning heel kick. Tag to Jannetty. Marty comes off the top FLYING FISTDROP! 1........................................2........................ Yoko kicks out with authority and it sends Marty through the ropes to the floor. As Jannetty climbs back inside he's met with a thrust kick from Yoko and the tag champs take control of MJ. Owen does some hammering while Yoko uses the dreaded trapezius nerve hold to catch his breath. Marty fights his way to his feet but he's sent into the corner. Yoko charges into the corner with the flying Ass Splash, but Jannetty drops out of the way and Yoko misses. Yoko shakes it off and tags in Owen. Hart tries to stop Jannetty who dives over and HOT TAGS TO VEGA!!! Savio comes back in a House-o-Fire... 10 punches in the corner on Owen and a thrust kick to Yoko sends Zuna back into the corner. Jannetty joins as the duo men whip Owen into Yokozuna. Savio drops Owen with a superkick. Jannetty climbs to the top rope. Savio assists Jannetty with a ROCKET LAUNCHER OFF THE TOP!!!! Jannetty covers Owen!!! But referee Earl Hebner informs Marty he's not the legal man. So Savio covers Owen. But Hebner is busy getting Jannetty out of the ring. And Yoko comes over LEGDROP ACROSS THE BACK OF SAVIO'S HEAD!!!!! Owen rolls over on top of Vega. 1........... 2............ Here comes Marty..... 3............... Jannetty is just a moment too late to stop the count. WINNERS ARE YOKO & OWEN..... Cornette celebrates with his men. ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ * Cornette and the Tag team Champs are still in the ring. Corny sells it like they dominated another match and announces that the Open Challenge will continue at Sunday's In Your House. Cornette says nothing good ever came from Michigan and that the tag champs will win yet again on Sunday and then leave that stinking state as fast as they possibly can. TODD PETTENGILL, IN YOUR HOUSE REPORT! Already signed... * WWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION DIESEL VS. "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE A Diesel promo. The champ gives Savage the respect he deserves but says he didn't win the WWF Title just to give it away. Diesel knows he's in for a fight, but he feels he is the better man. Diesel exclaims with a smirk, "May the best man win.... and I think I will". * BRET HART VS. JERRY LAWLER INSIDE A STEEL CAGE!!! We hear from the Hitman and his plans to dismantle the "hyena" Lawler once and for all. Bret all but promises this match to be the final battle between the long time rivals. * WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS YOKOZUNA & OWEN HART ISSUE AN OPEN CHALLENGE You heard it just before the report. Cornette has issues yet another open challenge for Sunday night in Michigan. Who, if anyone, will accept? * WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SHAWN MICHAELS VS. "DOUBLE J" JEFF JARRETT Just signed today we have learned that Jeff Jarrett will FINALLY get his championship rematch as he will take on the IC Champion Shawn Michaels at IYH. * PLUS, "BRITISH BULLDOG" DAVEY BOY SMITH VS. RAZOR RAMON! The Bulldog has choice words for Ramon. Davey mentions how he ran his own "worthless" partner out of the WWF, he turned on Diesel the so called "champion" of the WWF, and last week he put down Razor's little buddy the 1-2-3 Kid. The Dog warns Razor that he's next. ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ Before the next match, we see DOINK still out in the audience having some fun. MATCH #4: THE HEADSHRINKERS VS. JACOB & ELI BLU Both of these teams came up on the short end of the stick last week but make no mistake they're still both very dangerous units. This match is what good old JR would call a Slobber knocker. No finesse here, just 4 dangerous men beating the crap out of each other. Very little selling, a whole lot of stiffing. To both teams credit, they do their best to try and follow the rules.... For a little while... Things break down when the Blu Twins keep trying to change places and get heat on Fatu. Sionne has enough and it leads to a 4 way brawl. Referee Mike Chioda takes a kick to the gut from Sionne, and then Eli Blu tosses Chioda across the ring leading to an immediate DOUBLE DQ. THE RESULT IS...... A DOUBLE DQ The fight goes to the floor, with Fatu jumping off the apron onto both Blu Twins. All four men continue to trade punches all the way backstage as Raw goes into commercial. ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ TO THE BACKSTAGE.. Back from break, the Shrinkers and the Blu Twins continue to brawl backstage and right past WWF President Gorilla Monsoon. The officials are having the damndest time getting the 4 monsters separated. Gorilla joins in on trying to break up the fight. We go back to the ring. VINCE MCMAHON IS IN THE RING WITH THE RETURN OF "DOUBLE J" JEFF JARRETT Jarrett says it's the fans pleasure to have him back in the Double-J F. Jarrett says he was robbed at In Your House in July of his IC Title. He says the last guy he had to watch his back screwed up and cost him the title. Jeff bashes his former Roadie but says he's found a new man to watch his back, and we'll all soon find out who that man is. Vince presses Jarrett about the return match against Michaels this Sunday at IYH. Jarrett says the IC Title is about to be returned back to where it rightly belongs, around his waist. Lawler stands up at ringside and gets on the house mic. The King invites Jarrett to sit ringside for the next match, which just happens to feature IC Champion Shawn Michaels taking on the mighty King Mabel. Jarrett gladly accepts as Vince looks disturbed about the entire scenario. That match is next! ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ To the Gorilla... Before the next match Gorilla Monsoon is shown backstage. He doesn't look too happy with the inability of the Shrinkers and Blu boys to compete in a structured match. And because of that Gorilla wants this to be settled sooner rather than later. ADDED TO THE IN YOUR HOUSE FREE FOR ALL PRESHOW.... THE HEADSHRINKERS VS. THE BLU TWINS IN A STREET FIGHT!!!!! It's IC TITLE MATCH TIME!!! MATCH #5: WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SHAWN MICHAELS VS. KING MABEL (W/SIR MO) Michaels looks cautious to begin things. Using the stick and move tactic to keep away from the King. Mabel becomes frustrated early on as he can't seem to catch the IC Champ. When Sir Mo isn't paying attention Shawn even stomps on his hands on the apron to have a little added fun. At one point Jeff Jarrett stands up on commentary and it distracts the champion who begins to exchange words with Double J. Mabel uses this to his advantage and whacks Shawn with a clothesline from behind. The King takes over on the mat just pummeling and putting his weight on the champ. Mabel with a hard Irish whip sends Shawn upside down in the corner. The King gloats as we head to a break. Raw rolls on..... ------------------------------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------------------------------ IC TITLE ACTION CONTINUES... We're back and Mabel continues to dominate the champion. Mabel whips Shawn off the ropes, the King tries for a backdrop. Michaels counters with a sunset flip but Mabel isn't going anywhere. Mabel attempts to drop down and sit on Michaels, but Shawn manages to escape having his chest crushed. Mabel misses and lands hard on his posterior. Shawn slowly revives and begins to fight back. Mabel reverses a whip into the corner. King tries an Avalanche in the corner but Shawn moves. Mabel misses the splash and staggers back. SHAWN OFF THE TOP WITH A MOONSAULT BODY BLOCK!!! BUT MABEL CATCHES HIM!!! SHAWN WIGGLES HIS WAY FREE AND SLIDES BEHIND THE KING. MICHAELS SHOVES MABEL CHEST FIRST INTO THE CORNER. SIR MO UP ON THE APRON.... SHAWN NAILS MO OFF THE APRON!!!! SHAWN SETS UP FOR SWEET CHIN MUSIC AS MABEL BEGINS TO TURN AROUND!!!! BUT JEFF JARRETT JUMPS UP FROM COMMENTARY VINCE: what are you doing????????? JARRETT TELLS MCMAHON TO SHUT UP AND GRABS THE IC TITLE AND BEGINS TO LEAVE WITH IT. SHAWN GETS WIND OF IT AND REACHES THROUGH THE ROPES TO STOP DOUBLE J. SHAWN GRABS JARRETT BY THE HAIR JARRETT BLASTS SHAWN WITH THE IC TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHAWN GOES DOWN, BUT REFEREE JACK DOAN SEES EVERYTHING AND DISQUALIFIES MABEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WINNER ON A DQ.... SHAWN MICHAELS Jarrett climbs in the ring and stands over Michaels, holding the IC belt high in the air..... but there's just one problem.... Jeff just cost Mabel the IC title belt. Jarrett now feels a presence behind him. A 7' tall 500 plus pound presence. Jarrett slowly turns around to see an unhappy Mabel standing behind him. The fans begin to cheer the King. Jarrett slowly starts to back off, when Mabel's angry face slowly becomes a large smile as the King's gold teeth begin to shine through... Jarrett smiles back. The two men embrace.... WHAT IN THE??????? Is.... Is ... IS MABEL THE MAN JARRETT WAS TALKING ABOUT? THE NEW MAN TO WATCH HIS BACK???? Even Sir Mo looks a little confused... Jarrett lays Shawn out in the middle of the ring as instructs Mabel to drop a big leg on the IC CHamp... BOOOOOM Sir Mo comes over to question Mabel. The King turns and looks at Jarrett. Jeff motions for Mabel to handle Mo... Sir Mo wants to know what's going on. He doesn't appear to be in the loop. MABEL ATTACKS HIS LONG TIME PARTNER AND FRIEND. Mabel drops Sir Mo..... BIG SPLASH ON SIR MO!!!!!! Mabel's grump face again turns to a smile.... JARRETT JUMPS UP INTO MABEL'S ARMS AND LAUGHS AS THE TWO CELEBRATE. Vince is disgusted. Lawler loves it. Shawn Michaels could be in big time trouble at IYH. We'll be back next week, with all of the fallout from this Sunday's IN YOUR HOUSE. Pay-Per-View. Next week on.....

First, it was cool to see Saturday Night get some play. Solid story pieces for your main eventers. Solid win for Luger, good to see the Fantastics getting some work. Still trying to figure out what a Triumvirat is but it still sounds better than Dungeon of Doom. The Albright stuff was fun too. I like that you're keeping Bobby Heenan involved in commentary. Going up against Raw for the first time I must admit I was hoping for a little more competitiveness in the match selection. I was looking forward to the Monday Night Wars kicking off this week with a bang and posted my show early in hopes it would give you time to "bring it". I was hoping you would bring the ZING I needed to keep me engaged in my writing as was done in real life between the two companies. I was excited to see what you were going to do to compete with Raw, but Rocco vs. Dutch just didn't do it for me personally. Curious to see what's next for Nitro. In the mean time Fall Brawl will be a good one. I don't know if the Hulkster can trust Lex.
