Lucha history lessons
GRRRRRR. Guess it kept posting every time I tried. I kept getting errors and the reply wasn't showing up, until now. I'm thinking maybe I got the error because the reply was going onto a new page? Not sure. Internet Explorer is lame. Sorry for the extra posts mods!

BOARD UPGRADE - REPORT ANY PROBLEMS
Also, when I try to enter links from the main page instead of inside the actual forum I'm getting errors. Then again, I'm on IE right now and not chrome. This very well could be another IE issue as well. Just a heads up!

[1990-10-27-NWA-Halloween Havoc] Midnight Express vs Ricky Morton & Tommy Rich
Just read a detailed review of the Havoc 90 show over here http://crazymax.org/newsite/reviews/audit-havoc-1990/ a week back. Went back and watched the match, though I've always remembered it fondly. Really good stuff throughout. Very inventive and not repetitive of earlier years stuff. Lots of good spots kept the match hot for the entire duration of nearly 20 minutes. Rich did fine filling in for Gibson's spot, but Eaton single handedly stole the show for me in this match. Great stuff indeed. Hot, hot show opener.

BOARD UPGRADE - REPORT ANY PROBLEMS
Tried to force myself to read every reply before I mentioned this, but I got lazy half way through, lol... Not sure if this was mentioned yet or not, but for instance, when I tried entering this thread by clicking on "Page 1" instead of the title of the thread, I got an error page. Not sure if it's just me or not... In regards to some of the recent replies here, I've encountered all sorts of issues between Invision board and the newer versions of IE... It sucks, I'm working on an upgrade for Crazy Max forums in the next week or two to hopefully fix the bugs. It's definitely an issue strictly with IE... Inivision might be able to shed a little more light on it for the guys at PWO.

This was an excellent point.

Wrestling Observer Recap -- 1984 Yearbook
I said as a whole, not individually, I'd never fault him for crapping on a Moondog match, unless it was from Memphis, then it MAY have potential of being okay. Read some issues/files and you will see what I mean. It's not something you can deny, and I'm not crapping on Meltzer, I enjoy reading the old stuff in particular, just sometimes when it gets to the WWF section from 87 & earlier it's hard to read because I am no longer getting news and notes, I'm getting someone crapping on almost everything whether it's good or not.

Wrestling Observer Recap -- 1984 Yearbook
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of extra time right at this moment to post verbatim things he has said (though I'd like to), but I know when he went weekly with his columns it became more and more obvious of his biasedness. Anyone who has the 1987 year on file I encourage them to read, because he absolutely craps all over the WWF in many instances even when the things they did weren't bad at all. I have just about everything Meltzer wrote from 84-93 and 97 to present so I've seen him "grow" as a "jorunalist" over the years. He's become more professional when talking about the WWF/E, which is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, he gives Vince props from time to time, but more often than not, he buried the company as a whole through 1987.

Wrestling Observer Recap -- 1984 Yearbook
Meltzer pretty much buried the company as a whole through at least 1987...By some time in 1988 Meltzer became less biased in some way...on paper anyway. His hatred for the WWF from his 1984 through 1987 Observers almost makes reading portions of the older newsletters unbearable. He tried his best to rip on everything that was going on in the WWF. Like I said though, somewhere in 1988 his writing's became more "fair" towards the company as a whole, but he still had his favorites to pick on in weekly columns (Andre, JYD, Warrior, etc...).
