American Wrestling Association
Just so we're clear on who's running what in the AWA: I control all talent acquisition through the draft. I will also control who is protected in each subsequent draft. I also have veto power over some trades. Day-to-day operations and booking is controlled by rainmakerrtv. He will also be handling all trade inquiries and working out dates for talent swaps. Contact rainmakerrtv to propose a trade or talent swap. Of course, we each provide feedback and input to each other.

Matt D can serve as the Dave Meltzer of this project. Only Matt D appears to understand proper sentence structure and grammar.

Tough to pass up killer khan, but I needed a little more athleticism on the roster. (I hope my booker rainmakertv agrees)

Death & Retirement
Is this really a "game?" Don't you need winners and losers for a game? There's no way to judge who wins and loses in this thing. I could care less how deaths are handled, but if I had to pick a side, I'd say leave the near-death guys in the pool. It might make things more interesting to see if the promoters kill them off and work around the death or keep them breathing and play out a what-if scenario.

Thread for keeping track of draft picks and who is controlling who
Can someone update the draft order to show that I have Stampede's 6th and 11th round picks as a result of the Hogan deal? Thanks

Um, ok. I suppose if this project only last 3 weeks, then sure, taking the Roadies first overall is a giant reach.

Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
I think what I've learned so far through three rounds of drafting is that the notion of draft "value" is almost meaningless in this project. I seriously considered Heenan first overall, but thought that there was no way he'd go in the first round so I should wait and get better value by taking him in a later round. Well, Heenan went early. The Fabs second overall? Never could've called that one. Embry and Kamala going so early....also guys I had labeled as later round "value" picks that I could pass early and grab in mid-rounds. Wrong. If the top guy on your board is still there when it's your time to pick, grab him, even if his perceived "value" might be for a lower-round selection. The way this draft is going so far, he might not be there when your turn comes around again.

Trade deals
Stu now has Hogan and Andre -- two of the biggest names in the business -- secured for 9 dates. Instead of spending all his time stretching people in the dungeon, Stu is shooting for the moon and bringing in legit stars to his tiny territory.

I always get a good laugh when Flair doesn't understand something the guest says and he asks Conrad, "What'd he say?"

Trade deals
The AWA and Stampede have reached a deal: Stampede gets: 5 dates w/ Hulk Hogan, including 8/25/83. AWA gets: Stampede's 6th and 11th round draft pick and 2 dates w/ Curt Henning.

Trade deals
Good thing I didn't print those flyers advertising Heenan for the upcoming house shows. Actually what the hell, it's the AWA, I'll print them anyway and announce after the deadline for refunds that Heenan had plane trouble and couldn't make it.

Trade deals
The AWA is strongly considering making Hulk Hogan available to independent promotions for select dates in exchange for draft choices (possibly talent exchanges in some cases). As you all know, Hogan is fresh off appearing in Rocky III and is one of our industry's brightest rising stars. He'll pop a house for your promotion, and then some. PM me offers.

I drafted the Roadies assuming they did not come w/ Ellering. I definitely don't want to use a third rounder on him. Ellering is still on the board.
