The NBA Playoffs are pro wrestling
- Jerry Lawler booked for domestic violence
Dammit.- 6:05 Superpodcast Episode #30: Lady Of The Morning
The Polish Joe interview is outstanding. With all the wrestler podcasts out there, I feel like I've heard just about every story from every wrestler ever. It's nice to get a different perspective and fresh stories from under-the-radar, behind-the-scenes types like Joe.- Has this project meant anything outside our bubble?
I really don't care what others think of the GWE project. I loved it and had a great time. As far as the podcasts, to me most of them were guys (and gal) who really love wrestling talking about wrestling in the GWE context. I didn't think anybody set out to try and influence the wrestling community outside of PWO or those who were participating in GWE. The only thing that bugs me a bit about GWE is the fact that a handful of longtime and interesting posters here at PWO have disappeared since the project finished. Not sure if they took it a bit too seriously and got burnt out or what. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a password protected forum. Just a quick note to say that the tag team reveal has been a helluva lot of fun. Thanks to all who are taking the time to make it as interesting as the singles reveal. I still can't get over The Nasty Boys being so low, however......- Between the Sheets #46 (May 31-June 6, 1992) (Featuring Les Moore)
Yup. I was that kid with the Master System while everyone else had the NES. It was tough to find games, but I enjoyed it a lot. Alex Kidd, Zillion, Rescue Mission, etc. -- all great games. The sports games generally sucked, however.- Between the Sheets #46 (May 31-June 6, 1992) (Featuring Les Moore)
I actually preferred Pro Wrestling on the Sega Master System. One of the wrestlers in the game had the giant swing in his move set.- Between the Sheets #46 (May 31-June 6, 1992) (Featuring Les Moore)
WWF Royal Rumble for the Genesis is the third best wrestling game of all time, behind the arcade version of WWF Wrestlefest and WCW/NWO Revenge for the N64.- "The Story of Vince McMahon" at The Ringer
Shoemaker is good for the "LOL wrestling" crowd being wooed by ESPN and pimped by people like Richard Deitsch on Twitter. Simple and harmless and a fun guy to stir up some of those old rasslin' memories from yesteryear. But yeah, if you want quality reporting and actual insight, Shoemaker is the worst.- Reactions to the GWE Tag Team Honourable Mention List
The Nasty Boys finished waaaaaaaay too low, IMO.- Between the Sheets #45 (May 24-30, 1995) (Featuring Brandon Howard)
Another great show, gentlemen. Enjoy those old-school observers, Kris.- Gymnastics in pro wrestling/the Ricochet-Ospreay/Vader drama
Were those dudes attempting to have a wrestling match or re-enact The Matrix? Not my thing, but to each their own. Go Vader.- Barry Windham vs Kerry Von Erich?
Booking Revolution has real wrestlers?- Smackdown moving to Tuesday and going live
Oh God please no. The split is an immediate failure if we still have to deal with McMahons and an authority storyline on both shows.- Between the Sheets #44 (May 17-23, 1991) (Featuring Keith Harris)
You're telling me Kamala, Kamala 2, AND Abdullah the Butcher teamed up?!?! Please tell me this is online somewhere......a quick search turned up nothing.....- Rebooking the WWF in 1991
I don't think there's much I'd change about 1991 WWF. Maybe I'd give The Berzerker a bigger push since his "HUS! HUS! HUS" schtick always cracked me up.- WWE Extreme Rules 2016
I compare the WWE's camera work to a middle-aged white dude putting together a PowerPoint and being really proud of the cool ClipArt he found to jazz up the presentation.- WWE Extreme Rules 2016
Roman/AJ was absolutely outstanding. Both guys deserve a ton of credit for having a great match. But can I nitpick something? When AJ was beating the tar out of everyone with the chair, was it really necessary to go to the stupid bouncy/zoom in-zoom back out right away camera trick? Here's Styles -- a guy getting his shot on the big stage and desperately doing whatever he has to do to win -- going absolutely bonkers with a chair, and instead of locking in on a steady shot to let the carnage and Styles' will to win sink in w/ the viewer, the camera work is giving everyone a seizure and making the moment seem like a silly trick. It didn't ruin the match or anything, but it's stupid shit like that that bothers me about modern WWE.This post cannot be displayed because it is in a password protected forum. As long as the show is good, length of the podcast means nothing to me. Give me 4 hours of greatness over 1 hour of pretty good. The PTBN pods routinely deliver great shows, so the long shows don't bother me.- Midwest Indies
Just got home from a Steel Domain Wrestling show at the American Legion in Richfield, Minn. It was my 2-year-old's first wrestling show and my first independent wrestling show since seeing Ken Patera's All-Star Wrestling in small-town Minnesota in the late 1990s. Both of us had a good time and thumbs up to Steel Domain for putting on a fun show. My 2 year old picked out an Ultimate Warrior action figure to buy from a vendor and daddy found a picture of Buddy Rose pointing at Jesse Ventura's biceps, signed by Rose, for $10. This weekend is a chemo weekend, and it's the first Saturday I've felt good on a chemo weekend in a while. Decided I needed to do something since I was feeling well, so why not check out some wrestling with the kid? If anyone reads this from Steel Domain, thanks for a fun night! - Jerry Lawler booked for domestic violence
