Wrestling T-shirts
Two parts to this post: 1. What's your favorite wrestling T-shirt that you own? Mine is probably the below Outsiders shirt I purchased at a Monday Nitro around 1998. We had an old car full of 17-year-olds heading to the show, and it broke down on a major highway. We didn't want to miss the show, so we just left it on the side of the road and called someone else to come get us and take us to Nitro. Managed to make it for the second half of the show. Took care of the car the next day (for some reason, the cops just let it sit on the shoulder overnight). A few weeks after purchasing said Outsiders shirt, I was carrying in groceries for my mom. A bottle of bleach started leaking and left ugly brown splotches on the bottom of my beloved new Outsiders shirt. No matter, I just got out a black marker and did my best to cover those ugly stains up. Nothing was going to stop me from wearing my Outsiders shirt! My second favorite is probably the below Macho Man shirt. If any of you all still have some old shirts you purchased at Crockett or Hogan-era WWF shows, I'd love to see them. 2. What's the best place online to buy vintage wrestling T-shirts. A Google search brings up several sites, but I'm just wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a specific site to use.

PWO FEEDBACK
Stupid question: I accidentally switched to the full version of the site on my phone. How do I get it to go back to the mobile version? Thanks.

To me, Austin is like Arn Anderson in that he always delivered a good to very good -- and occasionally great -- match, even in his latter years w/ the knee problems. What vaults him above Arn and other consistently good worker types is the fact that he played a leading role in ushering the biggest wrestling boom ever known. That HAS to count for something

Happy that Eaton is going to finish above Morton. I've always had the sense that people respect Morton more because of the singles Flair matches, but I've always thought Eaton > Morton (although both are great).

Nooooooo......we've lost Buddy. Oh well, No. 36 is a great showing so I shouldn't be too upset.

Good Will Wrestling: Greatest Wrestler Ever Series
Thanks for these, Will and crew. Listened to the first pod yesterday, saving the last two for treatment later this week.

Exactly. The March Madness game is to predict the top 10. If more than one person correctly guessed the top 10, Ted's final ranking was the tiebreaker.

Way too much whining going on about the list being too conservative or some shit. Time for a Kamala interlude to cheer people up.

Tully had a great career, but if someone voted for him based solely on the I Quit match, I'd be fine with that.

CM Punk.....one of the few wrestlers who piqued my interest enough to actually watch Raw now and then. That in itself makes him worthy of the top 50.

In 10 years, maybe the criteria for the next GWE can be all "conservative" lists will be thrown out to ensure the most non-"conservative" top 100 of all time.

I think that is the issue. I think only 57% of voters have watched enough Memphis. I've watched a ton of Memphis and Dundee and nearly left him off. Didn't really connect with me and I'm not sure where he'd be without Lawler. I ended up ranking Dundee after re-watching a fair amount of his work and liking it much better than I did upon first viewing.

I agree that Lesnar should be in the top 100, but he's going to finish way too high.

That might be the most brilliant explanation for Angle that I've ever read. Tip 'o the cap to you, sir. Sounds like a great candidate for someone's favorite wrestler. Not quite sure what he's doing here, though. To be fair that could describe Terry Funk or Dick Murdoch just as easily. Funk or Murdoch ain't going home in a cab. They'd either drive themselves home or get hauled into the local jail to sleep it off following a brawl with the entire town's police force.

Harley Race is someone I just don't get. I don't see how anyone can watch him and think GREAT. I don't know why he is still left or why I am so far off the consensus with him. Harley goes over well with folks like me who 1) like their wrestling to have a more "serious" edge and 2) have an affinity for guys like Harley because we grew up in a small Midwestern town and knew several people who drank too much beer, drove their cars too fast, weren't chiseled muscleheads, but would fight you to the death at the drop of a hat, sometimes for no apparent reason.

I've watched a fair amount of Brisco matches since the voting deadline and part of me regrets not swapping Harley Race out for Brisco on my ballot.

GOAT actor stuff
You are not the only one who loves Jackie Brown. I wish Tarantino would take another crack at making another move like Jackie Brown -- something that has subtle character development and actual human emotion instead of simply creating his own "Tarantino Universe" filled w/ larger-than-life personalities every new film.

On Jumbo/Dylan, I actually think a No. 51 rating is more than fair for someone you're not into. And that's what it sounds like, you're just not into Jumbo. You did a good job trying to explain why, but there's nothing wrong with simply not connecting with a guy and leaving it at that. One thing I will disagree with both of you on is Tenryu's fire vs. Jumbo's fire. To me, Tenryu always seemed like he just got out of bed, wandered into a wrestling ring, and found himself in a match. Once he clears the cobwebs and wakes up, he's great, but it can take him a while (and sometimes he never really wakes up). To me, Jumbo's facial expressions always made him seem like he was into the match, engaging, and not simply going through the motions. When I see Jumbo work, I picture a grumpy father reading the newspaper in the 1950s who gets super pissed off at his kids for playing too rough and breaking mom's favorite vase. Dad was enjoying reading about last night's Yankees game, but now he's gotta put down the paper, chase down his obnoxious children, and whip them with a belt. Looking forward to finishing this pod. Eight hours on 50 wrestlers......impressive!

No we don't. Those rules don't apply when we're marveling at the greatness of Kamala.

Does he? He's taken the best wrestler in the world and made him just decent. I thought his work with Styles has been good. Not MOTY, but good. It's the booking that people seem to have a problem with.

A well-deserved spot in the top 75 for Jericho. His good to great work in multiple regions earned him a spot in WCW. While at WCW, Jericho rose above all the shit in that promotion and made a name for himself. Became a legit star in WWE who has dropped off lately, but still knows how to work.

Hogan at 75 seems about right. Nostalgic me says Hogan should've placed higher than Cena. The version of me that thinks more clearly says that's nonsense.
