Reactions to the Honorable Mention List Part One
Dammit. My love for Ed Wiskowski wasn't enough to get him a picture.

A Few Initial Stats
Looking at these initial stats and taking in some of the chatter on the board and on podcasts, I think Daniel Bryan has a much bigger shot to finish No. 1 than I initially thought he would.

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
That's how I watch now. I know the booking and week to week stuff will suck, so I ignore it. The 3 PPVs I watch have 10 minutes worth of recap footage before every match to bring me up to speed on storylines. If someone I respect online is pimping something from Raw, I might check it out. I mostly enjoyed last night's Mania because I paid no attention to the build up and silly booking and just enjoyed the matches and other work.

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
I keep seeing references to "trolling the live crowd" at Mania. The live crowd ate up HBK, Foley, Austin, Rock, Cena, Taker's entrance, ladder match, women's match, Shaq O'Neal, Shane's big dive, and New Day's entrance. For the majority of the crowd, I don't think Styles losing to Jericho or the actual result of some other match really overshadowed the fact that they got to see Austin stun people and Shane nearly kill himself. Sure, the main event sucked. But everyone knew it was going to suck and went to the show or bought it anyway. If WWE truly was trolling last night's audience, they failed miserably and will have to try harder.

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
Is this a Dungeon of Doom re-hash or HHH's entrance?

Let's go Tatanka! (I thought Tatanka was dead?)

**** to the women's match. Would've been ***** if Ric got color for no apparent reason.

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
I am the epitome of old man yelling at cloud when it comes to modern WWE (who's also got toxic chemotheraphy pumping through his veins) and I'm digging this show so far. At least I'm still awake. I LOL'd that Brock was still selling the nut shot as he was exiting the arena.

2016 WWE Hall of Fame
Just because someone always talks about how much they love the business doesn't necessarily mean they love it more than others. Don't we all have a co-worker or two who constantly talks about how hard they work, but in reality doesn't actually work that hard? Flair, Sting, Funk, Brock, etc. no doubt love the business. I'm sure they love the $$$ that comes with it just as much.

NXT Takeover: Dallas
Spring Stampede '94 says, "Let's not get carried away." Hmmm.... Zayn-Naka > Nasty Tag Asuka-Bayley > Flair-Steamboat Joe-Balor > Vader-Boss NXT Tag > Buck-Dustin AA-Balor > Rude-Sting Then SS94 has other matches not as good... how is NXT show not better? Last night's show was awesome. I'm in the middle of another round of chemotherapy, which usually means I'm passed out by 8 p.m. Last night's show kept me up until 11:30! But I'm not ready to put it above a PPV I still watch in full more than 20 years later that contains several wrestlers on my GWE list. Plus a lot of the overproduced BS of the modern product drives me crazy (do we need 10 minutes worth of bad acting and melodrama after every match?) so my wrestling-ain't-what-it-used-to-be bias still kicks in, even on a great show like what we saw last night.

Can someone explain to me why Joe isn't on the main roster and feuding with Lesnar? Does Vince no longer enjoy making money?

Who Will You Be the High Vote On?
You MIGHT be the high voter but I put Kamala on as my #100. Woo-hoo! *pats belly*

Who Will You Be the High Vote On?
I've got a shot to be the high voter on Eaton, Austin and Blackwell. Also, at No. 99, I'll probably be the high (and only) voter on Kamala. Edit: after reading through this thread, seems like a lot of people think they're the high vote on Eaton. Should be interesting.

Post here when you turn in your ballot!
I, too, am sad to see this project end. It was a lot of fun. I think it'd be fun to always have some type of PWO project going on at all times. Maybe not on the GWE scale, but something. Of course, I don't have the time or ambition to coordinate anything, but I thought I'd plant the seed

Booker's Dream: Any Era, Any Promotion?
If the car crash never happened, Magnum TA would probably fit.

Booker's Dream: Any Era, Any Promotion?
I never thought of Punk during his WWE peak or WWF Ted as smaller guys. This sounds insane (and it is) but I think having a beard makes you seem bigger.

Booker's Dream: Any Era, Any Promotion?
I'm going to go with a bit of a wildcard and say Bam Bam Bigelow. Great look. Huge guy who could do a lot of things only smaller guys typically do. Isn't the GOAT at any one particular aspect of working, but is pretty damn good in most categories. Can work monster heel or ass-kicking babyface. Maybe wouldn't be able to draw any sympathy heat working babyface in 70s or 80s New York, but you never know. Can have a good match and get just about any opponent over (See LT match from Mania). Of course, Bigelow's case would be stronger if he stayed put in one area for any amount of time. His unreliability outside the ring probably disqualifies him as being a "booker's dream," but I'm going to stick with him.

What did you learn about your fandom from GWE?
Another thing I've learned from the GWE project: I will never tire of listening to voters unveil and discuss their top 100 on podcasts. There's been a couple of really good GWE pods released so far and I hope many more are coming.

Under-the-radar wrestling book recommendations
I think Apter's book is under the radar because I totally forgot about it. Any good?

Am I Missing Something?
There can't be more than 10 people on the planet who'd list Caro as a favorite author and Devil Wears Prada as a favorite film. Big ups on that juxtaposition. I list Caro as my favorite author and Slayer as my favorite band. That's gotta count for........something, I guess.
