Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I went to a convention yesterday and got to meet Magnum TA, Jimmy Hart, Charles Wright, Koko B. Ware, Gunn Club, Bobby Fulton, Angelina Love, Lex Luger, Rhino, Gail Kim and Bobby Blaze. Malakai Black and ODB were also there but I did not have the cash on me for them. It was a lot of fun.

NHL just had the Blackhawks story break too. So all three leagues have suffered black eyes recently.

It just feels like they are following the typical gameplan of trimming the fat and getting every cent of profit possible to sell. As far as their corporate image. I don't see them as any worse than other sports leagues as far as scandals go.

They just pulled that on Bray. I thought it was particularly stupid in that situation because they could have said they were concerned about his injury history and no one would have really questioned it.

Just my opinion. They're going to try to sell to Disney or NBC on the next TV deal and they are trying to get the highest profits possible to make it attractive.

They still haven't fucking cleaned up the pre-81 shit. Micah Watts was trying to do that before they bought it and it still isn't out there. That's the stuff that pisses me off. They buy all of thise shit and hide it away to never be seen again.

The price was probably Joe Koff in the HoF.

I wanted to also add. I was a regular at the live shows around central Ohio for a couple of years. I stopped going when they started running a concert venue that was terrible for wrestling and jacked all the prices up. I think my $45 second row seat was $75 by the time I just gave up on looking.

It was worse than that in the Sinclair era. If there was a PPV everything would come to a complete halt for a month and you would habe to wait for the new taping cycle to kick in. And they would never bridge that gap, they would just have a set if lazy episodes with barely anything until you got angles resuming again. I remember when they did that big Bullet Club angle. It was like the start of May and it took until June for the TV to reflect any of it.

In fairness though, they did pay their talent for a year and a half with no avenue to make any profit. So for all of their mismanagement they did right by the talent during the pandemic unlike WWE.

I swear I read or heard somewhere that they lost some of the old footage at some point. I don't know how true that is but it's always been weird to me that they will put bits and pieces of their old stuff out there but they won't put all of it out there. I ended up just torrenting everything a couple of years ago. If they aren't going to provide it for me, then why should I feel bad for stealing it?

It drove me nuts. The entire Sinclair Era they refused to utilize the entire back catalog of their most valuable footage. They kept swearing they would get those shows up and it never happened.

He can push merchandise. You don't have to push him because he can keep himself over. I don't think he's a guy that makes or breaks you but I don't see the harm in him as a low level guy that loses and is popular.

I think this is probably just a nice way of putting RoH out of its misery.

I think it would generally be bad. You might draw better for non-deathmatch stuff but you could potentially chase away most of your audience trying to pull in those extras. We have seen a lot of media companies chase away their core audience chasing casual fans the last decade.
