Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I don't use Twitter anymore. Someonw posted Ethan Page talking about it and someone found the video from there.

His random tags on World Class TV are almost always a highlight of that episode.

Oh okay. That sounds hilariously stupid.

Can someone clue me in on Chris Regal?

Yeah. I still regret not getting Kerbal Space Program when it was in Early Access and $20.

I thought Miss Texas was Jeff Jarrett's fuck buddy.

r/SquaredCircle's 100 Greatest Matches Ever Poll
That list isn't nearly as horrific as I thought it would be. It's actually a pretty good view into the mind of someone that has focused mostly on the U.S. scene and mainstream puro.

r/SquaredCircle's 100 Greatest Matches Ever Poll
I thought their top 10 was a pretty fair list. I don't think I've seen that Ted Petty match with Quack and Claudio. I going to have to seek that one out.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Both but Ospreay in particular are guilty of something that drives me crazy in a lot of wrestlers now, even some that I like - looking out into the abyss (nowhere specific in the crowd) while dominating a match instead of looking at the opponent. It surprises me that he does so many awful things that discussing his flaws always gives me more things to pick on him about.

I really liked Ricochet's match with Lio Rush in PWG last year. It was a really well crafted match with a good narrative about the upstart trying to beat the veteran at his own game.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Ricochet is a good example. He's not everyone's cup of tea but he shows a lot of personality and he knows when it's time to slow the spotfest down. He is far better than Ospreay in every regard.

Reddit astonishes me with how ignorant they can be of the basics. Like them freaking out about how much Quackenbush pays his wrestlers that aren't big name outsiders. How much do you think the average indy wrestler makes on a show?

Current New Japan
I love me some spot fests but Ospreay is the fucking worst. It's like he has to see how many flips he can add to the most basic of moves. His ability to drag good workers down to his level is only surpassed by Scurll.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Another warm body to job to Kelly Klein and Mandy Leon!

Seriously, is there anything better than a mystery bag coming out in a match and the reveal that there are thumb tacs in it?
-
Dave Meltzer stuff
It endlessly cracks me up that Meltzer almost always has his face buried in a notebook taking notes whenever he gets caught on camera at a PWG show.

Heyman to manage Rousey?
It's worked on a smaller scale here and there but never for very long.

Heyman to manage Rousey?
Steph hasn't exactly shown herself willing or able to bump for stunners, take a bedpan over the head or otherwise take her comeuppance along the way. That's without delving into whether she and Rousey can generate chemistry similar to two all time great personalities and promo men. We also don't know if Rousey is actually capable of being a good worker either.

2018 pro wrestling is insanely interesting
I thought before that news that Rousey would ultimately be a failure in WWE. That kind of confirms it for me.

My level if surprise to that is about zero.

All of his big singles matches last year.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Yeah, I'm always confused when I see people post things from Lords of Pain. It's either wrong or a rewrite of Meltzer stuff.

Was he one of the commentary options in EWR? I know Scott Keith, Dames and I don't remember the other guy... Drunk Irishman or Drunk Scotsman maybe?

I honestly can't keep up with all the stuff I want to watch. Even just delving into Progress and PWG has been a delight. The WWE is too tedious to watch but that really isn't a problem considering the sheer volume of footage out there. I haven't quite stooped to the level of putting wrestling on the TV and watching more wrestling on my laptop yet. But it's incredible that I have subs to Progress, NJPW, DDT and Stardom and I have to stop myself from subscribing to other promotions.
