CWF Mid-Atlantic
I'm using the Filsinger card game for this booking. Because of this, I have no control over who wins so keep that in mind as this promotion advances. I'm also going to try and be realistic to who I think would potentially work in CWF Mid-Atlantic. I'm not running this in real time or anything so you might see a flurry of shows over a short period of time and some droughts where I'm not posting anything. The format I'm probably going to do for the first few months is weekly TV with a monthly bigger event. The monthly events might get reduced down depending on how I feel.

Who is the greatest booker ever?
I keep seeing mentions and detracting from guy's for their later work or ideas totally sucking. I think we need to go to the world of comic books for a few moments here. Let's talk about some of the great creators like Frank Miller and Alan Moore. Two super influential writer and some of their books like Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns are hailed as some of the best work ever done in the medium. Okay, now go pick up something Moore or Miller did in the last decade. It's fucking garbage and that's being generous. Now, does the garbage they're currently putting out in any way effect those early works that helped shape how the industry does storytelling? Not really. So I think when looking at a booker, if their highs are super high then we should mostly consider that because the truth of the matter is everyone is going to put out garbage as the get older and lose touch with the audience.

No Mercy 2017
I'm probably taking a break from the product after this show. I'm tired of getting into a particular angle and then the payoff sucking because we have to build that F5 back up so Roman can kick out of it at Mania. I mean who is sitting here just eagerly waiting for six more months of Brock as champion so we can get another failed Reigns Wrestlemania moment? We're talking about his 4th straight Wrestlemania main event and it hasn't stuck yet.

No Mercy 2017
It's just weird that they keep doing it with Alexa when it's obvious her booking is killing everyone else.

No Mercy 2017
I go by the fact that during his run they continue to hit stretches of historically low ratings and the fact that their audience is old as shit. Oh and the fact that if it wasn't for their TV deals they would be losing money. There's a lot of blame to go around for that stuff but you can't argue that Reigns is some kind of success when business has not been doing well for them the last couple of years. And they did end his last title reign because he wasn't doing well.

No Mercy 2017
I mean Goldberg beat Lesnar in a really short match and it didn't effect anything. I mean Lesnar is probably disappearing for awhile so you would at least have the belt on Raw. You could do Braun/Joe right out of the gate and that would probably have been fine.
-
No Mercy 2017
I doubt it would have changed much. They jobbed Braun in such a way that they shattered his aura. They killed his finisher in the process as well. Really, that match should have just been the first two minutes. Lesnar suplexes him, Braun gets up, powerslams him, pinfall the end.

No Mercy 2017
It really is beyond tired at this point. My wife isn't even a regular watcher but even she's caught on to how desperate they are with Reigns.
-
No Mercy 2017
I actually think Braun could have been viable as a top guy for a year if you had just gone the Goldberg route. It would have had a shelf life but who cares if he draws you money for a year? Now you just lost that.

No Mercy 2017
Mania is a long way away and they have absolutely nothing to get there. We're in for a rough ride until the Rumble.
-
No Mercy 2017
I'm guessing Brock disappears until the Rumble. No idea what they do with Braun. They kind of just destroyed him.
-
No Mercy 2017
Brock can only do german suplexes, kick out of finishers and do F5s now. But he can still bump his ass off as he showed at Summerslam and during tonight's first 2 minutes of the match. I don't mind him winning but I'm baffled that after all the crazy shit we've seen Braun do this year didn't book 1 single memorable thing for the biggest match in his career. He went down to a single F5 too. This was the worst possible thing they could have done to him. He just looked like any other asshole in there.

No Mercy 2017
I don't like Enzo but I actually thought his prematch promo was good.
-
No Mercy 2017
Brock can only do german suplexes, kick out of finishers and do F5s now.

No Mercy 2017
Seriously, if Braun had pinned him on that first powerslam, they would have made him. They could have let Braun lose and not look like shit in the process.
-
No Mercy 2017
So this is the Brock formula. Get the challenger super hot and then make them look like an absolute bitch when the match rolls around.
-
No Mercy 2017
Seriously, fuck this company.
-
No Mercy 2017
This isn't what they wanted to see I'm thinking. EDIT: Crowd would have popped huge if Braun had pinned him on the early powerslam.
-
No Mercy 2017
I'm going to be so sad when Braun loses here.
-
No Mercy 2017
Yeah, you can't put that match on Enzo. They could have done something good with less time and that's not what happened.

Who is the greatest booker ever?
I would DVR TNA just for the women's stuff in that era.
-
Who is the greatest booker ever?
It's TNA so it gets overlooked but Scott D'amore was probably the only good booker they had. He laid a lot of the groundwork for the few successful years they had. He successfully navigated them through their first national level exposure, gained enough traction for them to do house shows and booked well enough for them to do some okay buy rates.

Who is the greatest booker ever?
Would you attribute this to a lack of creative quality or the continued exodus of talent? After all, he had such a strong run in 2002 with Smackdown and it says a lot that he got guys like Sandman and Public Enemy over to god like status to the crowds he was working. Burn out and losing touch with the fanbase I think. I think his 2002 run is a little overrated.
