Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I've mentioned this in other threads before. I just like to go to shows by myself and watch quietly. I sit on my hands but I'm just watching and paying attention.

WWE TV 8/28-9/4
Was there a TV match before that?

Yeah, if you get six months out of Low Ki you're doing good. I thought he had a good run. LAX with him would have been good.

I am both shocked and amazed that Low Ki was whining and being difficult to deal with.

Is Mike Bennett the fastest they've ever given up on someone?

Podcast Tips?
That is really useful. Thanks. I was also looking at creative process tips I guess - like, what do people do to do their podcast? Tape all at once? Segment by segment? Notes? Scripts? Etc etc. Just what do people do when they do a podcast. I'll throw this out there. I do two podcasts. A wrestling one and a hockey podcast. The wrestling podcast, we get together every 2 weeks or so and I try to get two episodes out of it. The group of hosts I have are too busy for a weekly show so we try and get as much content in the can as we can in a single go. This show is much looser than the sports one. Most of us always have notes but we aren't afraid to go where the conversation takes us either. The hockey podcast I do with my wife. That one can be interesting as an episode can be segments we do over the course of a couple of days depending or at all at once. That one just depends. If it's something like training camp and preseason one of those episodes will typically be our almost live thoughts on things spliced together in a single show. But we also have more time then, during the regular season we usually have to hit things on an off day or if it's noteworthy like a trade of firing we try to turn around and push our reactions out all at once. Now, outside of this, there's a lot of work that goes into this show. We get guests for this show, like sports writers and things like that. There are some episodes that have a couple of hours of research put into them before we ever hit the record button or get to editing. This one is tricky because we've had some moderate success and we've actually gotten recognition from the team and the writing community for the show. So there is a certain level of pressure to not embarrass ourselves when talking.

It's not like he's booking. He's okay as a personality. He just has no business anywhere near creative.

Eli Drake is a solid wrestler. He's certainly more interesting than Brian Cage is. Slammiversary was an overall good show and the TV I have seen has been fairly competent. I would say not worst promotion ever right now.

Khali was a one night thing.

Dave Meltzer stuff
I would say it would fall somewhere in the middle of that list so bottom 10% seems like a more than accurate statement.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Would you say it's a quality or personal taste thing? There are a lot of times where I can sit there and say that was a good match but it really didn't do much for me.

I can't think of a worse one off the top of my head. Maybe that title match with Lesnar really early in his career?

This is what I do. Anything worthwhile gets posted on YouTube and there's about 20 minutes of worthwhile content a week.

It seems the last few months that the cruisers can drag the crowd kicking and screaming into reactions. Neville/Tozawa had the crowd red hot last week for the title change.

... They've been torturing us for no reason at all?!?!

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III
I saw Asuka and Ember Moon a second time because my wife wanted to see it. Even better on second viewing. I would entertain arguments that it was better than the Summerslam main event. What was great about this match and angle is that it was all about the fact that Asuka is better than Ember. It's about Ember's journey and how she threw her heart and soul into finally beating Asuka and just not being good enough. I thought it was a really memorable match.

I'm guessing the third week of September. They're hitting Australia, Japan and Hawaii right before that. Makes sense that they would go from Japan to India. EDIT: Digging around on their event calendar. There are no live events from like the 19th to the 21st and on the 22nd they are in California.

They always make the faces look like absolute dorks in losses like Nakamura. I doubt there was any other motivation for it other than they love making the faces look like dickless wonders.

They've been too heel heavy on these shows for a long time. The Daffy Duck ending to all the Mahal matches is beyond tired.

My wife and I started watching RKO meme videos around the time of Banks/Bliss, that's how bored we got until the show picked up a bit.

Also it should be noted. That show was 5.5 hours and 1 match was longer than 20 minutes.
