Has wrestling gone overboard with the various streaming services?
I wanted to add to my previous post. This is also really good for companies because it allows them to bring in more fans. I wouldn't be able to sell someone on following Chikara and having to shell out money for DVDs every month but they would put that $7 down for the streaming service. Same with me and Stardom. I wouldn't spend the money on DVDs but I check them out for the $4.99 a month. It's fan friendly and if companies levered it right, they could probably get more fans coming to shows. Reducing the barrier of entry for fans money wise is a good thing for everyone.

Has wrestling gone overboard with the various streaming services?
I think it's great. My house isn't cluttered with DVDs anymore and for the price of buying those 3 or 4 DVDs a month for 2 promotions, I can subscribe to the streaming services of maybe 6-8 promotions depending on price. And when hockey season comes along I can cut down on my subs and just catch up during the summer when I have less to watch.

2017 Wrestling Resolutions
Do a less shitty job watching wrestling this year.

Most unjustified examples of WrestleCrap type of stuff
I really like the core concept of the AWF. I think it was a cool idea. Hiring a bunch of guys past their primes and then doing nothing but squash matches was not the way to make that concept work.

Best/FavoriteTokyo Dome Match Ever
Randy Savage vs. Rick Steiner from the 2000 Dome Show. It's one of my favorite matches to pull out for random people to get a laugh from.

UFC is a Solid Heel Territory Right Now
Speculation mostly. I think she's going to retire after getting absolutely crushed like that.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Castle is still on that early? Really how is he not the main attraction of the promotion yet? It's been over a year that it's been obvious he should be in that spot. Because the company is run by dumb people?

Wrestling channels on the Roku
Yeah, Plex will cost you a few dollars but it's a one time fee.

Wrestling channels on the Roku
I want to throw out Plex. It allows you to watch video files on your PC on your TV.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Dixie might be the ultimate wrestling carny ever.
-
Ring of Honor Wrestling
Eh... Their TV is frustrating as fuck to follow. They'll be getting into a good groove heading into a big show and then you have to deal with a month or two of old content.

Was bringing back the Cruiserweight division a mistake?
I think it's too early to tell. A year ago the Divas Revolution looked like a mistake and look at it now. I think they're still finding their footing and it could turn out okay. My only real question is why they put the belt on TJP. He's a little bland to build a division around.

Current (#2) Japanese promotions
I think they're #5 or #6 based off attendance.

What are your favorite "very good" (***1/2 - ****) matches?
Ric Flair vs. Keiji Mutoh from the 1995 G1.

UFC 203: Because CM Punk is finally fighting
Brock had also won a fight before fighting in the UFC.

UFC 203: Because CM Punk is finally fighting
Brock was the NCAA Champion, and he probably wouldn't be a UFC caliber fighter if he wasn't fighting in the worst division in the sport. The top 5 or so heavyweight mixed martial artists are legitimately great fighters, everyone else in the division has huge gaping holes in their game. I'd be willing to bet Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and Anthony Johnson would be just as successful, if not more successful at heavyweight as they are at light heavyweight. I think Brock would do okay if he was smaller. He's just a freak of nature and I think it's a little unfair as a comparison. Brock had a great background for MMA and he could cover up his rough spots with pure power and athletic ability. Punk really isn't very athletic so he had nothing to fall back on to cover his weaknesses.

UFC 203: Because CM Punk is finally fighting
Brock made a mistake and left his arm exposed after looking like a competent fighter.

UFC 203: Because CM Punk is finally fighting
He didn't get knocked out in 10 seconds is about the best thing you can say for him.
-
UFC 203: Because CM Punk is finally fighting
I expected him to lose quickly but that was just a pathetic showing. I have a few friends that train and do amateur fights as a hobby and I'm pretty sure they would have owned him in a similar fashion.

Wrestling and the "shared universe" concept
This. It isn't realistic if things exist in a vacuum. Everything should effect everything.

ROH introducing 6 man titles
Yeah but then you're back to outside talent dominating which is already pissing off your fanbase.
-
ROH introducing 6 man titles
I think this will last as long as the No. 1 Contender Trophy did. Their roster is far too small and they don't have enough compelling combos to keep it going.
