WWE TV 12/21 - 12/27 Happy Holidays! Mario Odyssey is pretty fucking great!
The Pro Controller is actually really good if you have the version that can work with the TV. I am more of a PC gamer so mouse and keyboard are what I am used to now.

Greatest Rookie Year Ever
I think being a local athlete with a good look and the talent pool being generally depleted is why he got pushed to the top so quickly.

Odyssey is truly a great game. I feel the Switch is the perfect adult system because you can walk away and come right back to what you were doing.

Greatest Rookie Year Ever
Just tossing a different name in here. I have always thought Josh Barnett is really good considering how few matches he's actually had. And he was good right away. I remember that IWGP Title match with Nagata being really good at the time.

WWE TLC - The Last Chance for 2020
Especially when it's so formula. I like Kevin Owens but he's the guy you throw in there to job to the champion. It makes it impossible to invest in the story when you know he's losing from moment 1.

WWE TLC - The Last Chance for 2020
Oh yeah totally and we all know Brucie doesn't have an original bone in his body.

Ha, never going to happen.

How else can you have her turn on Charlotte to lose the Women's Title to her?

WWE TLC - The Last Chance for 2020
He's both. He's a total yes man giving Vince what he wants but he's also an absolutely terrible booker. I don't know how anyone ever bought his shit because he's not even a particularly good liar on top of being a bad booker.

MLW Fusion, anyone watching it?
MLW always feels like a monkey's paw to me. Yeah, the give you something you want but it's rarely the way you would want it.

WWE TV 12/14 - 12/20 *vacated space*
Lol. What an asshole. Seriously, I have never liked him and he always proves what an ungrateful asshole he is.

WWE TV 12/14 - 12/20 *vacated space*
He's bought into the revisionist history that he was always over instead of the realty that he was floundering until Mick Foley killed himself to get him over in early 2000.

Rhea is where I can point and say HHH isn't better with Vince. One of their few ratings wins was with her in the main event and she's essentially a jobber now. I just have no idea what their thought process is with her.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
It's really remarkable. Even the goofy shit like Ethan Page as Karateman is furthering the breakup angle he's having with Josh Alexander. It's a breath of fresh air to see such a tightly woven promotion.

I won't even go into Mia Yim. It's like they are intentionally going against her strengths on the main roster. She could probably be equal to the Horsewomen if used properly.

WWE TV 12/14 - 12/20 *vacated space*
Even the people with talent like Bianca Belair feel like they could have used a little more seasoning in NXT.

I mean what else can you do with Sasha? They really don't have any depth and she's been programmed to death with anyone of any real worth.

Her and Keith Lee. The competition with AEW has really shown he doesn't know how to get a brand over or book a compelling product. A lot of that shit was taking credit for Ryan Ward and Dusty Rhodes booking a good weekly TV show that was hidden away on Hulu and the Network.

Really enjoyable episode of Impact this week. I really like how it feels lile everyone on the show has at least some sort of angle or goal they are working towards. I am really digging the stuff with Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers.

RIP Dr. Alfonso Morales
That really sucks. He was one of my favorites for a long time.

Comic books and Manga Thread
I have been reading the IDW TMNT books. Really good reboot and I read Shredder with James Avery's voice.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
He doesn't detract from it like Kevin Kelly did with RoH for me. But I think he's a definite weakness in the company for me. I will see how I feel down the road with him.

So if I say picked up at Slammiversay is that a good jumping on point for the current product?

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
Yeah. I kind of like the dynamic where he would say something dumb to Madison Rayne and she would just toss it back in his face. But his delivery is weak and he really doesn't give the other person in the booth anything to work with.

I thought Final Resolution was pretty good. The last 4 matches were all pretty good and I thought Swann/Bey delivered in the main. I was intrigued enough to sign up for Impact Plus and give the promotion a shot. I will say though, Josh Matthews really drags the product down with his low energy and the dumb shit he says.
