Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Sweet! WWE NXT is on Hulu now and WWE programming on Hulu now works on televisions.

WCW ongoing thread
I was watching some of Souled Out 98. The biggest thing that stood out is La Parka got a massive pop when he took out everyone in the match with a chair. It seems like they really missed the boat on him at the time.

I think the best thing for Matt would be to retire and become a trainer or an agent. Of course, he might have to wait a bit before either of the two big companies would trust him with such a job. I imagine he might be using RoH to prove that he's being a good boy to get back to the big leagues.

WWE is killing me...
If you get to Superstars and Smackdown, it's not as bad. Mysterio/Sin Cara vs. Rhodes/Miz was this to the T. But some matches like the Primetime Players vs. Epico/Primo on the lesser shows are a little different. I like Kofi Kingston a little less each time I see him. His stuff is just awkward in the ring.

iPPV last night and ::gasps:: technical problems again!

Jerry Lawler in serious condition
No, medical testing wouldn't have necessarily caught that kind of a blockage in his heart.

Jerry Lawler in serious condition
Most surgeries are only minimally invasive. My wife's knee surgery were two small holes created by a laser. And like I said, I have to tell the ER people about my wisdom teeth because that's deemed to be a surgical procedure that was performed on me. The medical profession would consider this a surgical procedure even if it's less risky than a bypass would've been.

Jerry Lawler in serious condition
Anything that is invasive is considered to be surgery. When I end up in an ER I have to tell them that I've had my wisdom teeth pulled.

I wanted to bring up something that bugs me. I hate when guys have moves that exist just to miss so they can transition a match. Justin Gabriel is guilty of this as he has a springboard moonsault he always misses so the heel can take control. It reeks of laziness and a lack of creativity.

Something odd happened today. I knew it was Thursday and that Superstars and Smackdown would be rolling around. I actually found myself looking forward to watching both shows and kind of excited about it. That probably hasn't happened with me and WWE in probably over a decade.

A Couple Late WCW Questions from 2001
Vince got the whole thing for only a couple of million dollars. I think WWF New York probably lost more money operating in 2001 than was spent on WCW.

Biggest fall from grace
I disagree. He was more a case of being hot for a really short period of time.

I actually think I'm going to start watching just Smackdown and Superstars again (again, no cable so no Raw). There's still a lot of flaws to the shows but it was solid enough that I could see watching on a weekly basis.

I'll give that a look.

I don't have cable. Is there a watching option for that on Hulu or their website?

I've started watching just Smackdown and Superstars again. I'm really digging Superstars. The matches get tons of time and the announcers break all the WWE announcing rules. They talk about history, wins and losses, climbing the ladders for title shots and they call moves. It's like stepping back into a time machine for that show. I really like Sheamus for whatever reason. He has good music and he just seems to break that mold of WWE main eventer. Also digging Cody Rhodes a lot. Still hate Randy Orton.

I think he meant things like bleeding.

I tried watching Smackdown episode on Hulu yesterday. The opening segment was Sheamus/Orton/Booker/Del Rio talking for almost 20 minutes. Orton sucks, I mean he really sucks. There's nothing even remotely natural about the guy. Everything seems 100% forced and fake coming out of his mouth. I also used to find Del Rio to be interesting but he seems really stale to me now. I hate the opening yap fests. It just sucks the momentum out of the show. After that it was a Ryback vs. Mahal and then a divas match. I think I tapped out right about there. I couldn't take it and I fucking hate Michael Cole, he really ruins everything.

I think Jeff Jarrett wasn't letting him do that nonsense last year.

A Couple Late WCW Questions from 2001
The idea was to bring Nash, Sting, Booker T, etc. back for when the show relaunched. I know they had Joey Styles and Cyrus lined up as their new announce team. I vaguely remember that Rob Van Dam was going to get a huge push and there were rumors that D'Lo Brown was going to jump ship. I believe Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino and a lot of the ECW guys seemed like they were going to head to WCW as well.

[1992-05-08-UWFi-Combat Sports] Nick Bockwinkel vs Billy Robinson
I really dug this match the first time I saw it. It kind of ran out of steam towards the end. Fun note. Bock was 58 and Billy was 53.

Guest Booker with Jim Cornette
I always thought they rushed the Invasion angle because they panicked when the product really cooled off with the Austin/HHH vs. Taker/Kane feud.

Is anyone a "draw" anymore?
Isn't it basically the same thing he did with Jim Duggan? Taking badass brawlers and turning them into a kid-friendly comedy act? There was also another key factor to this. Aging brawlers being offered a chance to extend their career with comedy acts that would require less bumping.

Davey Richards: Scam Artist
Honestly, I think Kozina is most famous for having good stats in EWR and Promotion Wars.

It can't be money since O'Reilly comes dirt cheap.
